This property was as described. The house was very spacious and well appointed. The street is very quiet. The beach is great and in close proximity to the house. The island had everything we needed for a great family getaway.

This was the perfect house for our group of 8. The four kids slept in the bunk bed room leaving the 2 king bedrooms for the adults. We loved being able to walk to the beach and having a private pool. The restaurants were all super close and fun for all. The house was well stocked and the host was great to work with. Can’t beat Manasota Key for perfect family vacation.

Great place to stay and very close to the beach! Everything was very clean and kitchen is well equipped. They also have a lot of beach chairs, toys, floaters etc, and wagon to take it all for a great day at the beach! Welcome gift in the fridge on arrival was a nice touch. Pool was a big hit with the family! The neighborhood is private and quiet. We are looking forward to staying here again next year!

Everything was about as expected. The property would be great for 2 couples or a smaller group. We had between 8 - 10. The lack of privacy is a bit difficult as both bathrooms are connected to the bedrooms. If bedroom doors are closed, no one can get to the bathrooms, without walking into the bedrooms. The neighborhood was perfect. Quiet and peaceful, just what we needed. We had a few troubles with the pool and the inside thermostat, add the owner was very responsive to get everything taken care of.

The house was clean and offered a lot of amenities. The bed in one of the bedrooms was like sleeping on a piece of plywood for the week. The picture of the property made it seemed like it had somewhat of a yard by the pool but it did not. Pool needed cleaned often due to to the trees hanging over it. For the price I think you could find a higher quality house but not a bad place overall.

Beautiful property and location is amazing! Close to beach and had a dock in the bay! We loved it! Gorgeous beach with sunsets, warm pool, beach equipment for all ages! Would highly recommend!!

The property was great. The beach access was great. The shopping and dining options were great. The only drawback was a nosy, crabby, mean spirited neighbor named Gail and her two little white yipping dogs.

This is a great house in a great location. Beach is beautiful and very close and pool provided hours of entertainment for the kids. Kitchen is functional, but not a ton of pots and pans provided so don’t plan on fancy meals at home. Restaurants super close by so cooking much is definitely optional.

This property is not super fancy. However, it's very clean and in a superb location with easy access to both the beach and the bay, and just a very short distance to the restaurants, etc., that are on the key. I've stayed in a ton of VRBO's and definitely recommend this one if you're coming to the area.

Other than being hit with Hurricane Elsa (which didn't hamper our trip that much!!) we had a great time at the Blue Heron House. The walk to the beach was very convenient and the house was fully stocked and very well maintained. Thanks for a wonderful getaway!

We stayed here with 7 adults and 3 kids. It was exactly what we needed and then some. The pool was great! The beach wagon, chairs and toys were perfect and the quick walk there was so easy. Plenty of towels and supplies. We had ample room to spread out. This place did not disappoint. Can’t wait to come back!

Super clean and functional - kitchen perfect for cooking family dinners.

My family & I had a wonderful time! Plenty of room. We shared this place with my parents & uncle. My daughter had the patio area to herself & loved it! We would go to the beach everyday & also took advantage of the private pool. I was so sad to leave. I look forward to having more vacations here!!

Our experience at the Blue Heron was a vacation paradise for us all. The property was even better than advertised and was the perfect fit for our family group of 6 which includes our 6 & 7 year old grand daughters. They slept in the lanai bedroom made for kiddos, complete with the cutest bunk beds. Mom and Dad’s king suite was right next door. This property is very spacious and the owners have done a great job bringing the beach atmosphere into every room. The beach itself is super close as is the bay access. We pretty much spent our days by the beach and our evenings poolside. The pool area is lush and very tropical. We enjoyed watching a nesting osprey family right from the pool area. We had lunch in town one day, but mostly grilled dinner in the evenings as the kids didn’t want to leave the pool. We loved our stay at this beautiful property and we can’t wait to come back!

What a wonderful family get-away! The home is great for a family vacation. It has a fantastic pool, pool toys, coloring art supplies, a fully equipped kitchen, grill, a washer/dryer, 2 rooms with attached bathrooms (towels provided) and a fun porch with bunk beds for kids that leads right out to the pool. The pool is fenced in for a more private feel. There are beach cruiser bikes available and bars/restaurants within biking distance. There is a wagon with beach seats/umbrella/toys and only a few minutes’ walk to the beach. There is an additional shower in the garage if you get sandy at the beach. The neighborhood is quiet with beautiful landscaping and the neighbors are friendly. The hosts clearly went out of their way to make this an oasis for their guests. Everything was very well thought out, making for a fabulous experience I would highly recommend! 5+ stars!

The Blue Heron house on south Manasota Key is located on a quite loop off of north beach road with ease of access to the bay and the beach. My family and I enjoyed the two minute walk to the beach and one minute walk to the dock and bay access. Also there are a number of beach side restaurants on the south end of the key that we ate out at a number of times, all good all beachy! if you like boating and want to rent a boat you can tie it off to the dock at the bay access, which makes for an casual afternoon of boating at the stump pass sandbar! We really enjoyed our stay, If you’re looking for an relaxing week at the beach the blue Heron house hits that feeling on the head.

We had a great time at the blue heron house!! The pool is brand new and the deck was perfect to lay out on and get some sun, or play cards and eat at the outdoor table in the evenings. The beach access was also super convenient, just a two minute walk across the street. We really enjoyed renting a boat from allure rentals right down the key and we were even able to keep it at the neighborhood dock overnight! Would highly recommend this house to any families with kids as the sleeping porch area was perfect for them. We will definitely be back to the blue heron house!

Awesome beach vacation. Owner was great at communicating and answering our questions. House looked exactly like the photos. We enjoyed mornings on the beach, afternoons in the pool and checking out the island restaurants for dinner. The adults stayed in the two private bedrooms and kids camped out in the sleeping porch and sofa bed. We already have our next visit on the calendar.

Did a Covid escape from the north, VERY CLEAN PROPERTY. awesome location even caught a few snapper off the nearby dock. Walk to beach was easy - wagon was a great help. We were able to find this property short notice and received a discount because pool was under construction - We will be back again when pool is complete.
