The location was beautiful. The day after we arrived we had snow, which was so pretty to see. During our stay we also had rain and sunny days too, so we experienced all weather but each weather experience was so beautiful while being in the woods with nature surrounding us. There are plenty of outdoor areas to explore and the shops in Nunspeet are in walking distance to the accommodation. There are also laundry facilities on the site which was great to see. We had everything we needed and the lodge was clean, warm and comfortable. I needed a late check out and Familie Huiskamp were very accommodating to my request and so pleasant to communicate with.

The ONLY two things which could be improved but I know this is just my own preferences, are, the single mattresses in the double bedroom. I would've preferred one mattress as I like to cuddle my partner at night. So it was a little uncomfortable at times due to the gap between the mattresses. Again, this is just my preference and it doesn't change my review of the lodge as the lodge (and hosts) are honestly amazing. The last small thing would be how little the cups are for tea. As a British person, I love big cups of tea! :D
