Nice place , enjoyed the stay

We really loved our stay at Woodlands. The scenery was beautiful, easy to maneuver around the several local towns. Loved the backyard and dining room with all the windows.

Lovely and relaxed little getaway for 4 friends for almost 40 years. House suited our needs for space. Kitchen was great and well equipped. Best feature was the darling gazebo, perfect for happy hour even when it rained. Loved the charm- just need to make it easier to lock the door when leaving.

It was close to Saugatuck, 10 minutes away, and easy to find. It was perfect for 2 couples. We enjoyed the enclosed backyard gazebo. If you want peace and quiet, this is your place. The listing said the home was air conditioned, which it was. However, the air barely reached the two upstairs bedrooms. After a call to the realty company, our problem was quickly solved with an upstairs window air conditioner. I would definitely list with Jacqua Realty Co. again! Thank you!

Overall house was very clean, outside patio's we enjoyed, it was nice to sit on the back porch, stay was great! Girls weekend. Close to Saugatuck, Holland and South Haven. We hit all 3 places. It was a Great weekend.

Great yard, comfy beds, awesome location and very peaceful while still being close to everything the area has to offer!

Beautiful property, house is well equipped, exceptionally clean. Wifi password did not work and management responded immediately. Main bathroom door handle kept falling off and repair man was supposed to come during the week but did not to our knowledge. Second floor is hot, use fans provided and open the windows at night. Very comfortable beds. Very well equipped kitchen. Awesome backyard. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for a week with another couple, plus our kid and their kid, ages 8 and 6. The house was the perfect size for the six of us and the two kids enjoyed sharing a room. Stairs are very steep which could be tough for older folks or younger kids (but there is a baby gate at top of stairs). We spent lots of time in backyard patio and had a fire in fire pit every night. Kitchen and rest of house are well equipped and we had no problems with well water that other reviews mention.

I was initially disappointed that we could not find a cottage on the water but this cottage was quaint and we had a wonderful time. Very short drive to the beach or to town.

We stayed at the Woodlands for 2 weeks. It is a very clean house with some nice amenities: a bright dining room, a deck with a table, a gazebo and a fire pit. The house is nicely furnished and the kitchen has plenty of glasses and plates. The management company was incredibly responsive and sent a handyman immediately to turn on the power to the gazebo, and delivered a new microwave when we informed them that the existing one wasn’t working. It was a good place for enjoying the quiet and spending time cooking and reading. We agree with the previous reviewer who mentioned that it would be good to know in advance that the house uses well water. We discovered that upon arrival when we saw the sign (in the basement !) that said washing whites and light colored clothes was not a good idea because of the well water. Prior to our visit, we inquired about the existence of laundry. That would have been a good opportunity to tell us about the well water so that we could have packed appropriately. In addition, had we been aware of the water situation, we would have brought bottled water with us. People should also know that the house is on a main road. While it is generally quiet, and convenient driving distance to Douglas and Saugatuck, there are no sidewalks or dedicated bike lanes in this wooded area.

We enjoyed our time at the Woodland! It was the perfect size & space for our family.

We stayed at Woodlawn for four weeks and enjoyed our stay there. It is a nice house. We loved the dining area and the deck both looking out over the backyard. All of the beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has almost everything the average cook would need. It is a 5-minute drive to downtown Douglas and a 15-minute drive to downtown Saugatuck. There are a few things we think it might be helpful for other renters to know. The air conditioning works very well on the first floor where the main bedroom is, but it barely cools the second floor where the other two bedrooms are. (It was quite warm and humid a good part of our stay.) Also, the house has well water, so it was recommended to us that we buy bottled water for drinking due to the taste of the water and that we go to the laundromat to wash our white/light colored clothes due to rust in the water. (FYI - Lake Vista SuperValu in Douglas is a great place to buy bottled water and you can bring the bottles back and refill them and the laundromat in Douglas was very nice.) The team at Jaqua Realtors, who are the managing agents, were very responsive. Anytime we had a question or an issue they were right on it and tried their best to resolve it. We also have one suggestion for the owner - the upstairs bedrooms could use better bedside lighting. Wall lamps in the twin room and a full-size lamp in the queen room would be a great addition.

We had a restful, relaxing time. The yard and woods are full of birds. Close to everything in Douglass and Saugatuck, as well as charming downtown Fenville.

We will look forward to exploring other properties offered by Jacqua - for us as a couple, this particular property will not be of interest going forward. The team was quite responsive to our one noted concern.

Great experience loved it perfect for a getaway well needed

We had a great weekend. The house was perfect for us and we loved the screened in gazebo. It was, however, difficult to get a hold of the property manager because of it being a weekend. Just had an office number for contact.

We had a really great time at the house, it was so close to town (not walkable) but far enough away that it was really quiet. The yard was just perfect. We had a campfire each night.

Four acres, nice outdoor living space. Keyless entry. We were able to get away without any human interaction. Grilled in the yard each night. Ate in the gazebo. It was a nice change of space.

My friends and I loved the outdoor space at this property! We ate breakfast on the porch each morning and watched many birds visit the birdfeeder. A short ride from downtown Saugatuck. We loved Mitten Brewery and the Southerner. We drove to both Oval Beach and South Haven's North Beach. A highlight was the Star of Saugatuck sunset ferry ride. The property had several amenities and was comfortable for 4 singles. The checkin process was easy and staff at Shoreline were helpful with any questions we had.

Easy check-in and perfect property for kids. They loved the fire pit and gazebo and running around the yard. Easy drive to town. Very quiet and peaceful.

I was originally looking for houses in Saugatuck to be able to walk to the beach, but those were super expensive. It would have been a mistake, as it turned out, because one must drive to the Oval Beach anyways, even if living in Saugatuck. So I wouldn't recommend looking for something closer, it was a perfect little drive to do and the rent was about half the prices I have seen. The house's location is perfect for both sightseeing and going to the beach. The people I interacted with from the agency were very helpful, they listened to all requests we had, and it was a great experience of communication. The house is very adorable, the furnishing is in style, there are lots of decorations everywhere, very tasteful and brings a good atmosphere to the place. The garden is facing a forest and is towards West, so we could see the sunset from the terrasse. The kitchen was super well equipped, better than the one I have at home. I was really amazed by some household solutions every here and there which I would actually adopt into my own.

We had a lovely stay in the woodland cottage. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with Dishes And cookware. We enjoyed watching the birds at the feeders as we sat at the dinning table. On a rainy night we put together a jig saw puzzle. Sometime it would be nice to come back in warmer weather and take advantage of the campfire and gazebo.

Clean and cozy!

Quaint cottage just minutes from both Douglas and Saugatuck. Beautiful secluded yard with a cozy gazebo and large fire pit.

This was the perfect place for a weekend away with friends! It was just the right size for five of us, and it had all the amenities we needed. We enjoyed cooking our meals and s'mores at the fire pit and relaxing in the cozy living room. It was close enough to nearby towns to easily do some fun things, but far enough away that we had some privacy. Overall, a great place to stay!

We ❤️ loved our stay in this little beautiful home! Everything you need, beautiful fire pit and gazebo. Douglas and Sagatuck provide a fun shopping and dining experience. We watched the Ohio State Buckeyes win against TCU, so exciting!

My kids and I have been going to Saugatuck for many years for our summer vacation. Every year we stay in different places within this similar price range. This house was the nicest of those where we have stayed. Nice hardwood floors, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. A nice natural setting close to everything. Great for families. Very peaceful.

This was the relaxing getaway we were looking forward to!! The house was perfect and we loved sitting out in the backyard in the morning with our coffee and around the fire in the evening!

A great location for visiting the Saugatuck area.

My family and I enjoyed staying at Woodlands Cottage the last of July and the 1st of August. The house was set up very well. We enjoyed the enclosed back porch, the deck, the fire pit, and the Gazebo. We enjoyed the living room at night watching some movies and playing games. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very accomadating. It was a nice country/quiet location to stay. And the house was close to beaches and shops and dinining and markets which made for an easy drive to where ever we wanted to go for the day or evening. The area around Douglas and Sagatuck was a great place to vacation. Thanks for all you did to help make our stay in Michigan very enjoyable.
