Every thing was great. Owners response to a minor problem fixed very fast.

Cabin was large and clean with useful layout for guests. Three floors each w/ bed/bath combo. Easy enough access winding gravel road entry through cute neighborhood (a little slippery in rain but nothing our mini van could not handle). You will hear and drive by neighbors but not see them through the trees and position of the cabin. Walking in the evening down to the pond is a favorite. Pluses - hot tub and back deck off dining and kitchen on the second level is great hang area, firepit and back yard on basement level is perfect spot for making smores. Pretty wooded mntn spot. Cabin feel. Internet works great. Owner communicates. Minuses - beds are hard stiff boards, basement is cold while main level is hot, kitchen pans are rental-cheap with warped bottoms, scratched non-stick, aluminum, no storage containers. No long-range mntn view. Careful with your noise level outside because neighborhood, security light and camera out back that will pop on when you grab your firewood. Six TV remotes but no Vizio that matched or clear directions. Good location for some of our favorite spots - 5 minutes E. to paddling/swimming at Finger Lake day use, 20 minutes NE into Bryson City shopping/eating, 30 minutes N. to hiking falls and tubing down Deep Creek, 25 minutes S. to the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) eating/shopping and rafting the Nantahala, 38 minutes E. to Sylva shopping/eating and rafting the Tuckasegee, 40 minutes to swimming/hiking at Cheoah Beach Point at Lake Santeetla.

Great house with lots to do in surrounding areas

Our rental at the cabin was wonderful! Alex and Tammy were so helpful and accommodating, and the cabin was simply beautiful. Our original group consisted of 5 but ended up being only 3, so we had more than enough space, but we would have still been very comfortable with the original 5. I will say that with 3 of us the water level in the hot tub was high so if it had been more of us I’m sure water would have spilled over the sides. There is only one tv so I brought along my own and we used it in the living room. It was very simple to connect to the wifi. Maybe adding one on the main level would be a good idea. One of the massage chairs didn't seem to work but we really didn't spend that much time in the loft area, so it wasn't an issue for us There is a thermostat that controls upstairs only and one that controls both the main level and downstairs so keep that in mind when choosing your room/floor. I love the fact that there were black wash cloths especially marked for makeup as I usually bring my own so not to stain ones from a hotel/rental property, but I had forgotten mine on this trip. The ironing board has a little damaged spot, I'm not sure how to describe it, but I placed a wash cloth under the ironing board cover so that my clothes wouldn’t snag and it was fine... I'm just now remembering that I forgot to remove the cloth, lol. There is a very helpful manual in the cabin with instruction for everything and restaurant recommendations. A perfect trip to the mountains!

The home was beautiful. Lots of windows. Nice outdoor area and spacious kitchen. Plenty of space to spread out or hang out together. Some opportunities to improve the expierence (better bedding & pillows, minor maintenance, small things like offering bathroom hand soap).

Great place; very comfortable. Only recommendation would be bring your own pillows-they Could stand to be updated! Also one tv during football season is tough with kids! Game room was great!! Highly recommend!

Everyone in our group was happy with the cabin. We all had an amazing time. This cabin did have everything we needed, a jacuzzi, pool table, air hockey table, games for all age kids and a full kitchen. Alex, the host of this property responded quickly to any questions I had and even checked in to ensure we was enjoying our trip. I highly recommended this property.

The cabin was great place to relax. not hard to find at night being 9 hour trip. the place was clean and neat. plenty of room for all of us. It was simple to check in and out after our stay. The road to the cabin was in good condition. Everyone in our group was happy with the cabin. A+ Thanks

This cabin did have everything we needed, a jacuzzi, pool table, air hockey table, and a full kitchen.

This is the first time my siblings and our families have traveled and spent the weekend together. We had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room in the cabin to spread out for each family and we spent each night together in the game room playing pool and air hockey. I will never forget the dinners and conversations on the back deck. I definitely recommend this house. It was quiet and clean and was just a great time for all of us. The cabin is in a great area for hiking trails, tubing, shopping and some good places to eat, too!

Our stay at Better Together was awesome- from the game room to the outdoor seating along with the layout of the living space& bedrooms fit our family perfectly. We also enjoyed the short trips to Bryson City & Cherokee for the outdoor activities for us all. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

We had such a great family reunion in this beautiful location. The home is set back in a private location. We had 5 teens with us that visited the swimming hole every evening. Not far from the lake we went kayaking and tubing several times. Alex is a fantastic host. He was very communicative and always attentive. The home is well stocked, comfortable and well maintained. We loved our nights out by the fire pit and the deck is amazing up in the trees. We would definitely book this awesome place again. Thank you!!

The “Better Together” cabin is a really nice and peaceful place that your entire group can enjoy! We had 7 adults and 5 children in our group and the cabin had plenty of space to accommodate us without ever feeling cramped. The property was clean and comfortable and came equipped with all that we needed. You can tell that the owners care for this home and made sure it shows in the small details. For example, I was pleasantly surprised that they had a milk frother, that I had forgotten to bring from home, which made my coffee experience top notch. We enjoyed family time by the fire place, roasting s’mores at the outside fire pit, and lots of games in the downstairs game room/ living room. The hot tub was perfect to soak our achy muscles from the lovely scenic walks we took. Alex, the owner checked in on us via VRBO message. Overall, everything was great, from the keyless check in to all the family friendly amenities. Definitely recommend staying here!

Very good experience.

This house is perfect for large families. There is plenty of room in the house. The large back deck is perfect for relaxing and eating meals outside. The game room is perfect for family time. There are plenty of things to do within a short drive time of the property. We highly recommend this property.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Better Together lodge. It had so many things we love including the large deck, hot tub, games in the lower level. Every time I texted the owners on questions, they responded immediately. The property was also a great size for our group with plenty of room. We would definitely recommend the Better Together Lodge !

My impression of the property was that it was very clean, isolated in the mountains and very peaceful. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and equipment that I needed to make home-style meals and plenty of space around the huge table for all of us to eat together.

Fantastic family reunion in Tobacco Branch Village

Our group of friends have been visiting the Smoky Mountains for a motorcycle ride for 15+ years. We always go to a different area each year to ride that area. We may end up back here again. The house is conveniently located; close to amenities of Bryson City, hiking & mountain bike trails, Lake Fontana, river rafting and phenomenal motorcycle roads (paved and dirt). Six of us sleep very comfortably. Enjoyed morning coffee on the porch and the hot tub after a long day of riding. Owner even messaged a few times to make sure we were ok and ask if needed anything. I could tell he enjoys his home and wanted to make sure we did as well. If you’re thinking about visiting this area, stop looking and book it. 😆

The layout is perfect whether you are having a friendly reunion or a family gathering. The road to the cabin is up-kept and easy to navigate. The house was exceptionally clean. It really was exactly like the pictures, which we appreciate. We met another family at the house and it was great as one family was able to have there own space on the bottom floor with rooms, bathrooms, living room and their own exit outside. The other family had there own space on the upper floors. The outside areas were perfect for hanging out, bbq, and s’mores by the fire together with exceptional views and privacy. The game room was a hit with the kids. I loved the large table for dinners together. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us, we were definitely “better together”.
