We really enjoyed the house and it’s wonderful location. It was perfect for our long weekend getaway. Everything from check-in to check-out was great. We would highly recommend this beautiful home for families and friends!

We had a lovely stay with our daughter and son in law and two small grandchildren. The house is clean, spacious and comfortable, close to town and has a lovely sunset view out of the living room window. One observation is that we would have liked blackout curtains or blinds in the two hall bedrooms that also have west facing windows.

Great location and plenty of room. Fully stocked home with everything you would need for a gathering of 8 or more. We had a great time and the family room was large and a wonderful spot to gather for games and dinner. The back porch was also fun and we had a low country boil dinner out there enjoying the wonderful weather and view. Will come again!

Loved our stay! The house is spacious and comfortable…we loved the screen porch and the rocking chair front porch with a view of the mountains! The beds are comfortable and the decor is tasteful! The location was great, but the walk to town is more of a hike…the 500 yard walk to the trail is straight uphill and the trail is not easy to navigate for older people or young children! Other than that, the description of the house is perfectly accurate!

A group of us college friends reunited for the best weekend celebrating the wedding of two of our friends. The amount of space for two guys and seven girls was perfect. Plenty of extra beds, bathroom space to get ready in and a big open common space that allowed us to have great fellowship together. The convenience to town was perfect as well! Our communication with the owner was timely as well as the directions for check-in and check-out.

The house and location were both great. The house had everything you could need and more. The Christmas tree was beautiful and the fireplace was extra cozy. Everything was clean and beds were comfortable. The best vrbo I have stayed in yet. Can’t wait to go back!

Just returned from a wonderful stay at this beautiful house in Highlands. It was such a comfortable house and had everything and more that we needed. The layout allowed our family to spend quality time together without feeling crowded. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. We loved the location and had fun walking on the trail into town. The fire pit is such a fun feature and we loved making s’mores! We can’t wait to return!

This was our second time visiting the Highlands for fall break, and we enjoyed our stay in the skylight house. The location was perfect for all the activities that we did. The house was big enough to host our family and a few friends that joined us, we especially love utilizing the fire pit. We hope to be back and stay in this little treasure of a home!

We loved the house and location. Had 4 adults and 7 kids under the age of 10. The fire pit area was great and there was an abundance of firewood available to use. owner was very good at communicating and we had everything we needed to enjoy. We will come back

We had a great stay at this property! Clean, close to town and beautiful.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this house. We came here for two weeks in august and had friends and family visit us during our stay. We have a one and a half year old daughter who enjoyed the open concept aspect of the house, too. We were able to take the short 15 min trail into town with her on our back each morning to grab breakfast and coffee and by the time we returned the house from town we felt like we got a decent little hike in. The views from the front porch are stunning. The beds are comfortable, common area made it easy to relax and a highlight was having a morning fire (made super easy by the gas fireplace) while enjoying coffee and cartoons. I would recommend to friends for sure!

The home was nicely appointed, comfortable spaces and bedding. We loved the screened in porch, and the fire pit area was a nice retreat. The hiking trail into town was close but straight up hill to access. I did however enjoy an early morning walk/run into town, so peaceful and quiet. I would definitely come back!

Nice open plan.Home had more than enough beds for our needs so didn’t even go upstairs but once to see it. Fire pit is down steep steps. No creek. 3/10ths of Mile to trail marker to Highlands, not 300 yards. Attempted to grill out one night but gas tank was low and ran out. Texted owner, hours later she responded that we could go to town and buy a tank. By then we had altered menu with out grill. I would think there would always be a back up tank with the nightly rate for this location.

The house was more beautiful in person than in the pictures. It was very clean, very spacious and a perfect location for hikiing.

This house was amazing! More spacious than it looks in pictures and very nice and clean. We had 2 families each with 3 kids and they loved the bunk room. Great room/dining/kitchen area was huge and a great space for everyone to hang out. We had a fire down at the firepit every night we were there, and it was one of my favorite parts of the house. Definitely take the walk/hike from the house into downtown highlands. It was one of the kids favorite things we did while we were there. Everything was easy and it was a very enjoyable experience. Would definitely stay again!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay with our young kids and their grandparents. House was well kept, very clean, a great layout for small kids (plenty of space for playing), and the location was fantastic. Loved being able to walk to town. Loved the heater on the back porch while sipping coffee and playing board games with kids. Beds were comfy. Internet was fast. All in all, a great rental.

Comfy beds, nice linens and towels, well appointed kitchen. Common space is great. Everything on the same level except the bonus space up top which includes 2 twin beds. Awesome!

This is the perfect house for a getaway in Highlands - clean, well-appointed, open layout great for hanging out, and plenty of space! The easy access to Main Street is terrific - either a 2 mile drive, or a beautiful hike on the Kelsey Trail. Kadie was an excellent host - she could not have been more accommodating! Highly recommend, and we hope to be back!

Beautuful home! Lots of space. Loved the Christmas tree! Loved the back porch with heater. Beds were comfy, sheets were clean. Plenty of towels. Nice upstairs loft for separate hangout area. Close to town, minutes away, and close to the Kelsey Trail which is a short walk to town. The small town with shops was neat to check out. Kilwin's was my favorite stop for fudge and ice cream. 3 waterfalls within minutes of town right off 64. Love the house and location. Loved the town and nearby waterfalls. Great stay!

Beautiful home, had everything in the kitchen we needed to cook for the family. Nice walk through Kelsey trail to town, did it with the two kids and dogs. Fire pit in the back was a little uneven, that’s the only complaint. Other than that the home was perfect!

It was well-kept and furnished with TVs everywhere. We were able to do what we wanted to do just fine, such as cooking.

If Goldilocks was looking for a place to stay in the Highlands, this would be it--because it was "just right". Not too fancy, not too campy. Casually vogue ! Most importantly, the owners/staff were thoughtful and sincere in how the entire property was prepared and offered to you and made you feel you were at home. (You know, if your home was fresh, clean, well-apportioned and had great views!) Enjoy !

Quit searching VRBO - you won't find a better home in the Highlands area! Everything was absolutely perfect. The view, the furnishings, the screened porch, the yard and fire pit are beautiful. It was the perfect spot for extended family to stay for a long weekend to attend a family wedding. The rooms are spacious and the location is great. We loved the quick trail from the street the house is on down to Main Street. Everyone that stopped by raved about the home and we are already making plans to return!

So much space, comfy beds and a spacious, livable space close to town. Quiet and easy to get around. We even saw a bear! The owner was easy to connect with and everything was great. The outdoor area was so relaxing and we enjoyed the fit pit.
