Too noisy for my liking.

Extremely noisy. The cleaning staff moved furniture from 7 in the morning making it impossible to sleep after that. This went on until check out time. Terrible. I had only 4 hours sleep (got back very late the night before) and completely defeated the purpose.

Location was a quick walk to shops and dinning.

No ice was available. Hotel resturant was closed. Television in both rooms reserved did not work (local and Sky). Holes in towels.

The location suited our needs. On site parking.

Like other reviews have said, this is not a 4 star hotel anymore. On arrival, the reception area is impressive, however, the room we stayed in was not of the same quality. The towels were threadbare and had stains on them, the shower floor was dirty and the shower itself dripped continually, the bedroom had a large iron burn on the floor and there was a cigarette butt on the floor inside the fridge cupboard. To make our stay worse, there were inconsiderate rabble on the corridor, talking loudly until after midnight. I know this is largely out of the control of the hotel management but it's a reflection of the low prices charged because of the sub standard rooms. If you're charging very low prices you're going to attract clientele to match.

The staff does not speak English, they are not helpful. The room was dirty, the beds creaking. The furniture is old and dirty. Breakfast was not very good either. There wasn't black tea and the bread was dry.

The hotel is pretty old
