We absolutely adored our week in this apartment. The location is amazing for accessing the best of what Dorset has to offer. The pool, sauna and snooker table are rare and lovely facilities to have. The place was absolutely spotless upon arrival and Sue and Steve are extremely lovely and always on hand if needed. From watching the deer potter across the garden to listening to the owls at night, it really is a wonderful place to stay.

From the moment we arrived, the house looked super, well kept garden, very clean outside, and greeted by the owner Sue, who showed us around, nothing was too much trouble. We came and went using the side door which led into a double bedroom, along with bunkbeds, ideal for a family, the room was bright and airy, plenty of hanging space with a large wardrobe off to the side of the bedroom, next to the bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. when walking into the lounge there is an enormous snooker table, great fun having a go, then there is a sunroom with a colour television, plenty to watch, although we found the settee a little uncomfortable and would have loved a tv in the bedroom, we tried our laptop to watch but the signal wasn't to be, I think it would benefit a booster downstairs for the Wi-Fi, as the owner lives upstairs. The kitchen is well equipped, I did buy a non stick frying pan while I was there and donated, as the one which was in the house, had seen better days, and breakfast had to be peeled off the bottom of the pan, but didn't detract in any way to our super stay. The swimming pool was lovely, and it was amazing to see the wildlife while in the pool, we saw squirrels, deer came down but quickly ran away, it was lovely to see them though, there are two shower rooms on the poolside along with a sauna, this holiday home is a hidden gem, plenty to see and do in the area. What a house swimming pool is huge lovely area by the pool to sit massive outside area and gardens the inside is beautiful immaculately kept beds are really comfy all the furnishings are really good quality. The pictures do not do it justice. Then you got all the little extras bottle of Prosecco, milk etc. I can not rate this property high enough. I’d like to say what a fantastic time we had. The swimming pool was a huge plus and both our goals spent 3 hours every day in the pool… The snooker table was great too. The property was very clean and it was so convenient that the essentials had been left for when we arrived, especially the milk and tea bags. Sue is a really kind person and nothing was too much trouble.. We would highly recommend and will certainly be back again in the near future. Thanks for everything!!

The pool was amazing and the children didn’t want to leave. Great location too next to the park and easy to walk to town for drinks, dinner, shops and the beach.

A lovely place for a peaceful get away. Having a private pool of this size is pretty unique. The temperature was lovely. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely week at the apartment. The photos don't really do it justice! Everything we needed as a family was there as the property was very well equipped. Kids absolutely loved the pool and the large garden. We also ventured out during our stay and made a few trips to the local shops and beach. We also went on coastal walks nearby, explored Durlston Castle and went on a short cruise to Poole Harbour. Many thanks to Sue and Steve for being such gracious and considerate hosts and for helping to make our stay so enjoyable.

Many thanks to Sue & Steve who made us very welcome in their holiday apartment. We particularly loved the swimming pool, the beautiful garden with resident fox cubs and deer, and the locality for walking. It’s a fabulous area to visit - beaches, coastal paths, wildlife (we saw our first skylarks), and not too far from Abbotsbury if you want to visit the Swannery. All in all, highly recommended.

Purbeck Cliffs is a lovely ground floor apartment with access to a large garden close to some wonderful scenery. It's very well-equipped - even bathrobes and slippers (not mentioned in the listing) and pool towels. The pool is huge for a private property, and the sauna good too - brilliant for a wet day (or a sunny one if you open the outside doors). A sporty family (we were just the two of us) would enjoy the games, and the place is dominated by the full-size snooker room. The only real disadvantage: the house is up a long hill from town (and beach), and the local bus is summer-only, so you need to be fit or have transport. Also note that the WiFi signal is a bit weak - and our phones (on different networks) had no signal.

Off the beaten track and good for coastal walks. Quiet and comfortable

We were really lucky to get a week in this beautiful property at short notice. Really close to some fabulous coastal walks and countryside - you may well see deer and foxes out of the windows. Oh, and an amazing swimming pool complex...the pool really is big! The property is just a short distance from Swanage centre as well. Sue and Steve were great and very helpful hosts.

We had a wonderful stay at Purbeck Cliffs and can highly recommend, the local area has plenty to offer and the added luxury of your own heated pool and full size snooker table sets it above the properties normally available for holiday accomodation. We would definitely stay again, many thanks to Sue for having us.

This was a lovely place to stay. Really clean & well equipped. Having the pool & the garden was great. Sue & Steve are lovely and you would never know they live upstairs. Lovely walks in the country park & lovely seeing deer in the garden. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Sue and Steve live upstairs and you get the entire ground floor of this substantial house. Don't let this put you off - they are very quiet and the apartment feels very private and secluded. The snooker room is actually big enough to move around freely without bumping into walls as you play. Having a pool that you don't have to share with anyone and can use whenever you please is a real bonus - especially for the kids. The house is actually situated just inside Durlston Country park and it is just a short walk to the castle, lighthouse and cafe. Great facilities, superb location. Have already recommended to family and friends.

This was our third stay in the apartment and as ever it doesn’t disappoint. The peace and tranquillity and of course the lovely swimming pool makes it a great place for any family. See you next year.

The apartment is perfect for families with young children - the pool is great and can be completely (safely) closed off when not in use, so no danger of little ones getting in by accident. Facilities are all there - a bit gutted I didnt make more use of the snooker table as it is also a great space for a full size table. The apartment is situated on an amazingly large plot so loads of space outside for the sprogs to run riot. Lots and lots of space inside too so when it rained we didn't feel cooped up (plus had a pool on hand to entertain the kids!). Everywhere was clean and maintained to a high standard, really felt like they make an effort to keep it modern and tidy - actually felt that the homeaway photos didn't do it justice in some rooms.Location-wise, was a 2 min drive down into Swanage town proper (steep hill!), and really easy to get to some of Dorset's best beaches, towns and sites - I don't think we drove more than 30 mins to get anywhere all week! National Trust membership was really useful for lots of the sites and parking, and the 'JustPark' app seemed to cover everything else.Owners were welcoming and hospitable - the bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch. Will definitely be recommending to anyone interested in a beach hol in Dorset. Which should be everyone. Easy 5* rating.
