Loved staying at Fishizzle! Great house and directly acroos from the beach-- host was exceptionally responsive. The best part was that this was clearly a house where people lived-- there were spices, tin foil, baking soda-- all the things you don't want to pack but you might need. It certainly felt like home and I can't wait to go back!

My family spent several days in your home for my son and daughter to run the Oak Island half marathon. It was exactly what we needed. We had ages from 19 to 75, so it was nice to have the elevator for my parents! Thank you! We will be back!

Jamie saved our week from disaster by relentless effort to have the elevator repaired as our group had several special needs. Not to mention the hurricane updates and information. 5 STARS!!!!! Great communications.

My family of 9 adults had a wonderful, relaxing week at Fishizzle. Having the main living area on the 2nd floor gave us beautiful views of the ocean. Location is good. Access to beach is really close. The house is nicely furnished with all you need. Extra refrigerator and elevator are bonuses. Plenty of parking. The dining room table is big but only 6 chairs. Reading reviews had made me aware of this so we took card table chairs so we could all of sit at the table. I would definitely like to return next year.

We had a blast. Beds were comfortable and convient to beach was a plus. I hope to be able to rent it out again. Wish I would have known that renting g a golf cart neede to be done in advance. Will remember for next time.

FisHizzle is a terrific beach house with many great qualities! The number and configuration of the bedrooms and bathrooms was good for us, and the rooms are attractively decorated and clean. (We had 9 people, with a variety of needs from ages 4-75!) Also, the close location to the beach is great! Views from the deck are lovely, morning and night. The elevator is a wonderful plus and we really needed it. We greatly appreciated and used the extra refrigerator! The kitchen has a great deal of equipment. The island in the middle is useful, as well as the pantry storage space. A small thing, little signs with the days for recycling and garbage pickup, as well as wifi password – very helpful. Overall, this house was great for us, and we would consider renting it again. TIPS FOR IMPROVEMENT - MEALS AND KITCHEN The house sleeps 16, I believe, and the kitchen is pretty small to prepare meals for that number. (We didn’t go hungry, that’s for sure.) More coffee cups are needed especially, and elimination of junk items such as plastic cutlery. Other items (plates, bowls, platters, pans) are adequate. The dishwasher runs for well over 2 hours, and does not get the dishes perfectly clean. We found a couple with food on them in the cabinet. The little tilt-out bins under the kitchen sink contain gunk and rust – I suspect they were not even recognized by the housecleaning crew as what they are. Information about how to use the streaming TV service was needed. A bar area with adequate room for fixing drinks that doesn’t use up a bunch of counter and meal-prep space is needed. Maybe in the extra-refrigerator room? There’s not enough room for a large family to sit down for a meal together. Maybe an add-a-leaf table would fix that problem. The bar stool solution, with people’s backs to the big table, is not appealing. (Those SUPER-HEAVY chairs and stools are a pain in the neck!) The extra table on the deck was used for some of the adults at a few meals.

This property is on our shortlist for Oak Island now due to amazing views, ideal location, and ease of access to the beach!

This house was perfect for a relaxing get-away. We had all ages from teens to senior citizens and we all had fun. The beach access was very convenient and the house was well-equipped with everything we needed. The teens were able to watch a turtle lay her eggs on the beach one night and the grandparents were able to sit under their beach umbrella every day and watch all the dogs and families walk by. The beach is not crowded at all and very family oriented. Jamie was extremely helpful and quick with any replies. She made recommendations for activities that were happening locally and when we found something wasn't working, she immediately came over to fix it. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful family vacation.

The house was perfect for our family of 12. We really liked the location and the elevator was perfect as we had 3 grandparents with us. Transporting luggage and supplies was much easier this way. The house was very clean and the location was great....just a short walk to the beach access. The house had everything we needed. My favorite spot was the first floor front porch hammock with the palm trees providing shade.....great place for chilling and reading! We had plenty of parking and storage for our chairs and beach items. Jamie was great at answering our questions and recommending places we asked about. I would highly recommend this house.

We loved this home. It suited our family perfectly. The communication with Jamie was top notch. The home was super clean when we arrived. We would not hesitate staying here again. We made very special memories here.

We had stayed at this property a year ago and had a great time so we returned this year. Our expectations were met in every way. The house was clean and well-appointed. Bright and spacious. The host was easy to communicate with and things went smoothly. Would happily return again next year.

Very nice location overall. Literally walk across the street to the beach access. Drive to eat or pick up food, groceries whatever you need within a very short drive. The elevator is a GREAT bonus for elderly relatives we had with us. Views are great and the home fit the bill for our group. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed our stay. Great golf at Carolina National as well. Can't wait to reschedule and return to this property and location.

The house was just like the pictures. Close to a wonderful beach. March was a little windy and cold but we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen table could use two more chairs for a crowd. Would come there again.

We loved this home. Beautiful views and plenty of comfortable space for our family of 8. It truly is 45 seconds to the beach!

Jamie was incredibly flexible in welcoming our family to her property over the Thanksgiving holiday. Any question or concern we had was met with a helpful and quick reply. The home itself offers beautiful ocean views and the perfect porch for stargazing. An efficient kitchen and spacious layout allowed for family meals (with ease) and plenty of room to for privacy. Two porch areas also offered privacy and plenty of leisure space. The living room furniture was also comfortable and spacious. Many other homes we have rented have an issues with water pressure. FisHizzle offered strong water pressure and plenty of hot water! Really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend. So convenient to the beach and restaurants.

Overall, has a GREAT vacation! The floorplan of the home suited us well. Lovely views of the ocean from the upper floor. The elevator was key for our elderly parents. The owners are very responsive (they actually came out to help with a electrical issue). Only negatives was that there are only 2 TV's in the house and we had to live stream. Maybe that was good as we watched less TV than normal. Also, wished the outdoor shower worked. Would recommend this rental.

Another couple along with my husband and our dogs stayed here September 2021 and it was a wonderful stay! -Clean house with all the appliances we needed -Beds/pillows were very comfortable -Beautiful view from both porches -Easy walk to the beach -Easy Parking - Very close to Restaurant’s and grocery stores -Jamie is a wonderful and personable host!!! -100% would stay here again!

Breathtaking and lovely. PLENTY of room to fellowship and have alone time. ELEVATOR WAS A PLUS for my elderly mother and others with knee issues. EVERYONE everywhere was so darn nice, especially the rental property owners, which made our stay super wonderful...an excellent trip through and through. I already have my mind on plans for next year! If you are able, check this property and property owners out. You'll be so very glad you did! With little ones, the beach access was important to us along with enough space and rooms to spread out in the house for games and / or quiet time. 2 refrigerators were an added awesome surprise! House was great. Everything went well, no problems

We had to use our own PrimeTV and Hulu login for TV. Spectrum wasn’t working on the main TV. One of the bathroom showers held water in the tub and didn’t drain properly. All together our experience was good.

First time trying a VRBO and this was a great pick! Great location and house. I highly recommend this one.

We all enjoyed our stay and were very happy with the location and accommodation. Everything worked out well, just wish we could've stayed longer!

Our family enjoyed this home so much we didn’t want to leave. Great location. Easy access to stores and could walk to the local convenience store. From sunning on the top deck to napping on the hammock on the bottom deck was so nice to have these options. Kitchen had everything we needed to prep and cook meals. Plenty of refrigeration options and entertainment options of board games and gaming system for kids. Oak Island has great beaches and was not over crowded. Our only regret is we wish we booked it for 7 days not 4. We will definitely be back. Thanks
