The condo was beautiful just like the beach. We had a wonderful time, with separate beds for each of my four children and a separate sweet for my parents. Beautiful views ! Everything with the condo was very nice. My only complaint was the HOA was very strict about beach rules and gave preferential treatmenttosome guests. No private umbrellas anywhere on the beach and most of the setups were already reserved, though most were empty. Additionally, even though we were following the rules, we were asked twice to move because other long-term repeat visitors did not like us being near them, even though we were in the water. We gave up trying to come during the day, just coming in the morning and in the late afternoon when the setups were cleaned up and we could really enjoy the beach without the harassment. Once we figured that out, we had a wonderful time. We would definitely stay again.

The location of this condo was amazing and right on the beach! The size of the rooms and closets were above our expectations. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils as well as two kitchenettes. Only complaint was the pillows were too thin and hard and late check out was tan issue (not good for a baby that needs a nap before the plane) Other than that, we had zero issues

This is our second time staying at Sterling Sands and we'll definitely be back again. Our family loves the pool and the beach front of the Sterling Sands property. We'd love it if the beach chairs/umbrella came with the rental, but this year we brought our own knowing it wasn't included. It's not a make or break for us, it'd just be a bonus! We also loved having a parking spot underground this year. We did have some gentleman working while we were in our condo and they used our balcony multiple times (storing their tools under one of our patio chairs) throughout the week without talking to us. That was a little odd, but again probably something that wouldn't happen often while staying in the condo.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home is comfortable and right in the beach. We prefer a more private section of the beach to stay on, but our choices were limited due to a late start in booking. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for our family.

This property is not worth the price. There was a toilet running constantly, that was leaking and filled with mold in the tank. Multiple cabinets were broken, a bench was broken, and the hot water in the back master didn't even last long enough to fill up the jacuzzi tub so we didn't even get to use it.

This condo was perfect for a family vacation! It was very spacious and had a lot of cute touches.

Nice clean quiet unit with a beautiful view of the beach. They provided plenty of towels and good basic supplies, which included paper towel roll, trash bags, dishwasher pods, dish soap & sponge, travel size soaps, and plenty of kitchen utensils, dishes, cups, & cooking essentials. Check in was a breeze, we could walk across the street to shop & eat, pool area was clean & well maintained, & staff was friendly.

Everything was wonderful with the exception of the Master Bed mattress. It really needs to be updated. Woke up with back ache most mornings. Rest of the condo was fantastic! Beautiful!

All was great but just want to mention they need a new dryer. It runs and heats, but for some reason doesn’t dry the clothes. But to end on a good note, the view is priceless!

The property was very clean and equipped. It is a place I would definitely recommend to others. It just need some work on the check in experience.

Nice property, checkin confusing....caused by app to portal transition. Wifi was poor. Kitchen utensils were the best of any place we have stayed.

Had a good overall experience. Great location, nice condo. The dryer doesn't dry very well, I think the heating element is going out. We had to dry single items alone or small loads 2-3 times. The door to the master bath doesn't close enough to lock but closes enough for privacy. Otherwise, had a good stay and would recommend.

This was the perfect place for 2 couples and a kid. We both got to stay in a very nice master suite. The view was incredible.

Very spacious and clean unit. First floor condo provided easy access to garage, pool, grilling area, and the beach. We absolutely would recommend this unit and return in 2022.

The only issue I had was the garbage disposal was broke, but was fixed within 2 hrs of requesting repair. The jets in the tubs were dirty so they weren't used after letting the run and flush for some time. Other than that everything was perfect and I'd definitely rebook.

This was the best location and room!

Loved the overall feel and decor. One downer was the location being just above the garage and specifically the garbage collection. We heard the big garbage trucks early in the morning.

The condo was Absolutely amazing . Huge , precious, clean. Had everything we needed. Would recommend 100% and will be back hopefully to same one (101)

Our unit was amazing, loved the set-up great bedrooms, nice kitchen. My entire family had great reviews and we would love to stay there on our next trip.

I have stayed at Sterling Sands for every year except 2020. I have never lodged ONE complaint in all those years. It has always been exceptional. First, we received an email asking us to use a link to check in if we were going to be arriving after 5:00 pm. We did just that. We also called Compass to confirm they had everything necessary for us to check in. The Compass representative was very pleasant and assured us that our Welcome Packet with our arm bands and parking pass would be in our condo upon arrival. We arrived and there was no packet. We went to the HOA office and they were closed. We were not allowed to go to the pool or the beach area without the arm bands and the gate access code. The first two days we had no access to the pool or beach. We were told the Compass on-site Rep had hurt his back and was incapacitated. Two days later, the HOA had a representative working. They had no idea about anyone being injured. We were able to get wristbands and a parking pass for a fee. 2. Our WiFi password did not work. This was a huge problem because we were working our jobs remotely. We reported this. Compass stated that the software was being updated and there was a glitch. This was false. They had transposed the password numbers on the app and that is why we were unable to get on. 3. My 20 year old daughter was taking a shower and got out to find a man in our unit. Compass sent an IT guy without forewarning us. This really upset us. She slammed the bathroom door (which was open while showering) and locked herself inside. I received the frantic call and rushed back to the room. Initially, Compass couldn’t explain this so we thought some random man had access to our unit. Compass called later that day and apologized saying they sent someone to fix our WiFi. 4. When we arrived, they had left ONE towel for showering for the entire 3 bedroom condo. A day later, they brought more. 5. The doors to the laundry area keep falling off. 6. The dryer did not dry. They came to fix it but it never worked right. 7. The dishwasher had to be ran twice to get the dishes clean 8. The windows and sliding glass doors were so dirty you could barely see out. The HOA stated that Compass Resorts manages this one unit 101. They stated that the guests have had problems since Compass took over. After speaking with a rep at Compass, they gave us a 10% refund. This was almost another slap in the face given how much we spent and the fact that we lost 2 days on the beach and p

We had no problems and loved everything about it!

The condo was perfect! Loved the two master suites and the extra wine fridges were so nice to have! The beach service was great after the first day. Note to future renters to reserve chairs (two come with the rental) but even to get the two (or reserve additional) you have to see the guys on the beach when they open at 9am. The line on Saturday morning was really long but once you get through that they have the chairs set up with your name on them in the same spot for the rest of your stay. We had tried calling per the app instructions but even after leaving messages never received a call back. The guy on the beach said standing in line was the only way to get your chairs reserved with your name that they don’t do anything over the phone. Wasn’t a big deal just would have been good to know so we could have been in line earlier instead we were toward the back and it took about an hour. Overall would definitely recommend this condo and would stay again!

This condo is convenient to the beach, pool, and all the area attractions. It was spacious and suited me, my husband, and my son and his family of 3 perfect. The only minor complaint is the couch is not very comfy to sit on but who needs to sit inside at the beach anyway! :)

We enjoyed our stay in this property. Very nice size and central location.

We were very happy with our stay in this unit & would definitely recommend it. It was very clean, has great views, a well stocked kitchen, plus a 60-inch tv! The only issue we had was receiving conflicting communications from the property manager (Compass Resorts) re. whether the parking pass, wristbands & gate codes that are needed to access the pool & beach areas would be waiting for us in a “welcome basket” in the condo or would need to be picked up at the HOA office located in the parking area,. (FYI there was no welcome basket; the bands must be picked up at the HOA office, which has very limited hours of 3-5pm). Because of this, we were unable to use these amenities for most of our first day. Except for this, everything was great.

Great stay

This unit at Sterling Sands is very accommodating for all ages. The second master suite is a definite plus. We love that we don’t have to wait for elevators and can choose to take the stairs which makes it convenient. The grounds are always clean and well kept. The grill area is perfect for cooking and hanging out in the evenings. We chose to stay here again this year for all of these reasons and the condo unit itself is roomy, clean, comfortable making it feel like home away from home!

Stayed in Room 101.so nice to walk up and down stairs as opposed to elevator! Condo lovely decorated , very clean... kitchen so well stocked ... any cooking pots , pans , utensils.... beds very comfortable... convenient to beach and all Destin activities. Have already booked again for next year !!
