We booked our stay at Hotel Canali at the very last minute and were very satisfied with our experience! The hotel is housed in a beautiful old villa, and the premises are very charming. The buffet breakfast was also very good, with a wide selection, and you can enjoy it outside on the terrace, with a pretty view of the surrounding houses and hills! The hotel staff were also very kind, and extremely helpful, providing us a lot of good information and tips for sight-seeing, where to eat, etc. Overall, a very good choice for accommodation in Rapallo (although I felt the charge may be slightly overpriced considering the location & facilities, but not surprising considering the area is not the cheapest one).

a bit far from the coast

Very nice lady at the reception desk, she was most helpful in making recommandations for restaurants and handling reservations for us. Location is very convenient, just a 3 minutes drive from the center of Rapallo. It is also easily accessible walking during the day, less so at night. Parking is convenient.

People friendliness

Beautiful historic hotel with nicely renovated and very clean rooms in a quiet and safe area, not too far from the promenade. Breakfast was very good also.

All good, luckily we still got a parking spot.

bit of an uphill hike from the village taxis readily available

perfectly located, just 10 minutes walk to teh center. Great to explore not juts the city, but the whole area (Portifino and CinqueTerre) super helpful staff, Franchesca at the reception was amazingly taking care of us. Rich and delicious breakfast, inclkuded in the price. On site parking on affordable fee. The room is well sized, comfortable - we stayed 4 nights, w/o any observation.

The flooring on the big terrace at the reception / breakfast area coudl be renewed - the "artificial grass" coverege was really outdated.

walls were paper thin, you could hear everything from the next room, breakfast was nothing like a four star hotel, the rooms had no charm, no bedside table. the staff is very nice though, very helpful. but the hotel is more like a 3 or 2 star…
