Everything was clean, worked, smelled and decorated nice…. All with a great view! Paddle boarding, dock jumping and splash padding…. Everyone enjoyed their stay!

We cannot say enough positive things about The Narrowed Inn and Troy and Cheryl! From the time we arrived to amazing hospitality (personalized notes and treats welcome us) to, unfortunately, departure the entire stay was perfect. The property is perfect for adults and families alike!
I can truly say this was the most well stocked property of any we have ever stayed. No detail was missed from kitchen to bedrooms to the amazing sitting areas across the property. Plenty of room for everyone whether you want quiet space in the upper screened porch or roasting smores as a group around the campfire or chilling and jumping from atop the boathouse- you have it all.
The location on the lake is quiet and nestled; however, you are a boat ride away for even more amazing views and fun on the water - whether it's watersports, cruising, fishing, or checking out a couple of dining spots just a boat ride away. We highly recommend a pontoon rental from Michael during your stay while also taking advantage of the kayaks, paddleboards, floats, and other fun already provided by Troy and Cheryl.
I cannot express enough the hospitality and readiness of the Narrowed Inn to host a group of any type. Whether you want to grill, fry fish, make a low country boil, or simply roast smores - it's all there in addition to a kitchen stocked amazingly (a big thing for us). That truly makes preparation minimal so relaxation can be maximized.

Our experience at The Narrows could not have been more special and extraordinary. The owners were “tops” for providing everything “top of the line”. The correspondence was timely and they offered suggestions especially for restaurant that were so accurate and helpful. There was nothing left undone. There is no doubt we will be back. Our kids and adults had a perfectly flawless vacation in an absolutely CHARMING and DELIGHTFUL home.

Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful lake house! Perfect location, right on Lake Rabun. Kids loved swimming and kayaking on the lake. Grandparents loved relaxing on the screened in porch just steps away from the lake. Beautifully furnished, immaculately clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. Hosts made us feel so welcome - even providing a cheese board and a bottle of wine! Truly a lovely place!

The Narrowed Inn was an excellent place to stay with our family on the lake. It had everything we needed including places for everyone to spread out in their own spaces. The renovation of this place is masterful. We were very comfortable inside, outside, and in between (porches). Communication with hosts was very much appreciated. Another person in our party has already booked it for next summer.

We had a wonderful time at Lake Rabun. Cheryl was beyond accommodating and easy to communicate with. Definitely one of the most well appointed homes we have rented via VRBO. She even left fresh flowers, a charcuterie board, and provided clean sheets for a pack n play at the last minute so my brother and his family didn’t have to haul one from Denver. We loved the layout of the home for multiple families with ages ranging from <1 to 70+. I was a little worried about parking so close to the road at first, but it was completely fine. Great house, great host and wonderful vacation!

With over 120 five star reviews it is hard to be original in describing this property. Before we went I looked at 40 or so reviews and having stayed can't think of anything that I would disagree with. Really a great place.
Over the years we have stayed at five other properties on the lake some more than once. The Narrowed Inn is now by far our favorite. The update to the property looks better than any other place we have stayed. It is very easy to move between the house, dock, and top of the boathouse, which is a hard to find layout at Rabun.
We did bring an inboard with us and had no issues with the dock. Really liked not being on big water, never had to worry about the boat getting pounded against the dock.
We do plan to return!

Our family (ages 16-83 years) enjoyed another wonderful stay at this perfect Lake Rabun property. Thank you to Cheryl and Troy for the super clean, very cute, well appointed house that had everything that we needed, plus lots of extras. We appreciate all the thoughtful touches. Whether staying with my bookclub or my family, I always look forward to spending time in your peaceful retreat. Thank you also for being easy, communicative hosts. Until next time!

We love staying at the Narrowed Inn. It is perfect for our family- super clean, with all the basic equipment and plenty of extras, and the owners are extremely thoughtful and always very responsive to any questions.

Wonderful property on a quiet part of the lake. Convenient to Lake Rabun Hotel for dinner, Lakemont, and others. Nine family members had a comfortable stay and a great time. The home has everything you might need and the hosts responded quickly to any question. Could not ask for more.

We have stayed here before and loved this home. The owners had recently freshly painted and stained the house, boat house, and dock. Everything was spic and span. Even fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, charcuterie, and cookies to welcome us! There were 9 of us and there was one bedroom we didn't even use. We had plenty of room. Our boat rental delivered our boat to the Rabun beach boat ramp which was almost walking distance from the house. Everything was perfect! Everyone wants to come back next year. We celebrated my husband and his twin brother's 65th birthday at this amazing lake
house. We all had a great time! While the weather did not cooperate for most of the stay, we did have one afternoon with some sun and really enjoyed sitting on the upper deck.
We highly recommend this beautiful home for a relaxing and fun stay. One can tell right from walking in the door that a lot of time, thought and love has gone into decorating and making the home inviting and comfortable
Last of all, the owners of the home were quick to respond to the questions we had.

This home is beautiful and great for large framilies. The home was clean and cozy yet spacious with 4 private bedrooms, a loft area with several sleeping options, and several decks. Everything you need is provided. The owners were prompt with answers to questions. Parts of the drive were close to the edge on a curvy road...just take your time...it's so worth it! Can wait to stay again!

Our trip to The Narrowed Inn was EXCEPTIONAL! Cheryl exceeded every expectation we had for our annual Thanksgiving gathering with family. There were so many personalized and thoughtful treats for us upon arrival and things to enjoy throughout our stay. We had 7 adults and 3 kids and had more than enough space for everyone. The view was amazing from sunrise to sunset. The ladies throughly enjoyed shopping in Lakemont, Clayton, and a glass of wine on the porch. The menfolk went on their fishing excursion and caught a delicious dinner! Thanksgiving meal was easy to cook with a perfectly appointed kitchen. We had everything we needed and beyond! Everyone in our group enjoyed a great nights rest each night in the most comfortable beds. It was an outstanding and memorable holiday and trip. Thank you for everything!! We LOVED this property! It by far had the most amenities to meet our family’s needs. We loved using the paddle boards and kayaks on the lake. It was off season while we were there so some places were closed but we made most meals at the lake house and the kitchen was adequate for even large family meals. We simply did a order ahead pick up order at the nearby Walmart in Clayton and we were set with groceries for the long weekend. We had a wide range of kids age 13, 11, 4, and 11 months as well as grandparents and we all enjoyed the space. There are lots of beautiful waterfall hikes within walking distance or 15-20
min. for all hiking levels. We found great craft and boutique shops in Clayton as well. Overall it was great to get away from the hustle of daily life and just enjoy nature especially this time of year! I believe we will definitely be back to The Narrowed Inn in the summer time to enjoy more of the lake and some boating.

My family of 9 thoroughly enjoyed this property. We had plenty of room to gather together as well as find privacy in our own bedrooms. The direct access to the lake was ideal and allowed us to enjoy boating, paddle boarding and kayaking. The property owners were extremely responsive and accommodating. We have zero complaints and have already booked the property for a return trip next year.

We LOVE Lake Rabun, and have always had trouble finding places to rent with such limited inventory. Luckily we found this one available, months ago, and it was the perfect way to round out our summer. The place is very well appointed, and the communication leading up to and at the time of were great. It's literally on top of the lake, so you feel like you are staying on a house boat with having to deal with the constant rocking. Our stay couldn't have been more perfect for what we were looking for with our family. Our small children just became lake kids this weekend!

Great family vacation time!
The entire family, kids, and grand kids had a ball. Plenty of room for everyone. The dock and boat house were perfect. Pontoon boat rental ramp was practically within walking distance. Kitchen was sufficient for us to prepare all of our meals. All bedrooms looked out to the lake. Owners were always right in touch if we ever had a question. Couldn't be more pleased. We may think about an adult football weekend to return.

We all enjoyed jumping in the water from the decks, the use of the paddle boards and the kayak, and the water slide was such fun for all. We even skipped going to some nearby attractions, because no one wanted to leave the "Fun" at the home!!!
In the evenings we floated under the stars on rafts and had the wood fire pit going on the deck with smores.
We will certainly look forward to another summer vacation at the Narrowed Inn!
