It was over all a great stay.

Waking up to sound of the ocean, seeing the Sun rise from the Atlantic is how each day was for us. Close enough for us to have our Marine son stay with us during his liberty, yet far enough to give him rest from the post. A well laid out house with access to the beach, restaurants, and stores.

The house itself was clean and well stocked. The location was as good as it gets without actually being on the beach. Very short walk to the shore. Owners were fantastic at getting back to us in a timely manner when we had a question. I definitely recommend this house!

Five adults and 2 children were able to spread out in this beautiful extremely well equipped home! Location was perfect with easy access to the beach. Host were easy to communicate with throughout the booking process/stay! Will definitely stay again at Clocking Out!

Had an amazing stay at this property in Surf City! Property was clean, had an easy check in, fantastic communication with the host and had everything wee needed at the property. Would highly recommend staying here and it was contactless check in so easy and quick as it gets. Plenty of room for a family and being so close to the beach, we had a fantastic time!

A very short walk to the beach and a clean well maintained beach house with all the amenities makes this a perfect place to stay!

Everything about this house was great. Was very clean, well organized and well stocked. And the owner was wonderful to deal with. We had a wonderful stay with family!

This is our third year staying at Clocking Out. We stay untroubled and never want for anything. The kitchen has everything you need. The back deck is lovely for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The front porch is our spot for sunset or storm watching. The house is large and updated for a comfortable stay. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms make for flexible accommodations. Access to the beach is easy and convenient. It truly is just steps away! Under the house is nicely set up for outdoor dining and games. Katie is an exceptional host with the thought of her guests contentment at the forefront. I bet you’ll love Clocking Out as much as we do!

You can tell the owners really care about the property. The house was very close to the beach, had enough space and was very clean! The only "downsides" (which we managed through just fine) were that the property did not provide beach towels and the laundry was downstairs in the storage area. But, overall we loved our stay and would highly recommend.

I can’t say enough amazing things about Katie! She is extremely responsive, the house was exactly as described. All appliances, HVAC, electrical and plumbing worked. This is important to note as sometimes properties aren’t well maintained. Clocking Out is perfect! We made wonderful family memories! We will definitely be Clocking Out and renting again in the future! Thank you thank you!!

We really enjoyed this property. Kelly was very responsive, and even went out of her way to help us get an early check in. The property was extremely clean when we arrived, which we truly appreciated, all linens were provided and ready to go when we arrived. The home has all the comforts you need for your stay. We enjoy cooking and this kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We loved the updated look of the home, and it is very comfortably furnished. The home is situated within a few hundred feet of the public access to the beach and was a nice quick walk, so that coming back for meals and bathroom breaks was easy peasy. We will definitely be staying at this property again. Loved it!

Plenty of room for everyone and the owner was very helpful and responsive. The weather wasn’t looking good for most of our stay so she offered to let us come earlier to enjoy the good days. Very close to the beach with easy access.

Fantastic house for us -- two families with elementary-school-aged kiddos. Kids had fun sleepovers in the bunk and trundle rooms. Adults had the larger rooms. Well-stocked (and well-labeled!) kitchen. Plenty of beach chairs, ocean toys, outdoor games, indoor games, beach books and kid books, etc. Outdoor shower for the sandy kids. The house is on the second row, but feels almost like an oceanfront - a walk across an empty lot to the beach access. This made it easy to send kids back and forth without a chaperone. I've been going to Topsail since the 70's -- never disappoints -- we would happily stay here again!

Clocking Out is updated, and comfortable, with plenty of seating, and the kitchen has everything from cutlery to small appliances. There is public beach access across the street, which is just a short walk and quite convenient. The hosts are fantastic and incredibly responsive. They even let us know about a sea turtle release that was happening while we were there. I am so glad we did not miss out on that! Look no further if you want to stay in a quiet home with an ocean view! Clocking Out is a great place to stay.

This house fit our needs really well! We stayed with our 5yr old and my husband's parents for a long weekend. The rooms were clean, had clean linens ready for us. There was plenty of room for us to stretch out during downtime from the beach. Kitchen is beautifully updated, clean and really well labeled! All of the pots, pans, utensils that we needed (we brought food, spices, paper goods). The carport is a huge, covered area with good wind protection on those super windy days. The public beach access was a quick walk on a path from the lefthand corner of the backyard, straight to the steps. Easy access, not a bad walk (one family member has some mobility issues and did fine!). Our 5yr old borrowed the boogey board from the house and loved getting to try something new in the ocean! Our 2 large pups came with us, and we spent a lot of time sitting on the back deck getting breeze. Highly recommend this house and the owner was very responsive and friendly!

The property was very clean and enough room for everyone. It is a very short walk to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked. All bedrooms and living room had smart TVs. The owners responded quickly to emails.

Found this listing last year and stayed for the first time. Came back again this year and look forward to future stays. We love the location and all the amenities the home provides. The kitchen and flooring have been updated making a great home even better. Katie is a lovely host and we are so thankful she opens her home to share. We would highly recommend staying here!

This house was the perfect location and had everything we needed. The owners were so responsive, friendly, and accommodating and we even scored an early check-in which felt like a bonus beach day. It worked out because it basically monsooned our last day. Next time I’d love to see a pitcher (for making sangria! ;)) and some upgraded outdoor furniture, which we spent sooo much time using last week.

We had a great stay. Easy walk to the beach out the back door. Nice having plenty of beach chairs. Roku TVs in every room was nice too.

We brought a family group of five adults with us for the week to stay. The house was very clean and so easy to access with check in and check out. The walk to the beach was the perfect distance (even more so for a 8 month pregnant lady!) Great stay!
