Bereits zum zweiten Mal habe ich diese Unterkunft gebucht, weil ich das Hafenleben schön finde und gerne auf einem Boot schlafe. Im Gegensatz zu modernen Segelbooten ist dieses hier sehr gemütlich und auch schön wohnlich eingerichtet und man hat alles, was man braucht. Wer schon auf Segelbooten war, wird es groß finden, wer noch nie auf einem Segelboot war, vermutlich eher eng (auch ich habe mir vorgenommen, bis zum nächsten Mal fleißig Sport zu machen, damit ich auch in 10 Jahren noch durch die Türen passe 😂). Was soll ich groß schreiben, dass ich eine so lange Zeit gebucht habe und bereits das zweite Mal da bin, sagt doch eigentlich genug aus, wie toll es mir dort gefällt. Vielleicht noch interessant für andere, die etwas länger bleiben wollen: Im Ort gibt es alles, was man braucht zum Einkaufen, an Restaurants sowieso und auch Sportgeräte stehen im Park und an der Promenade zur Verfügung. Und vielleicht auch noch interessant für die, die sich Gedanken wegen Schaukeln etc. machen: Das Boot ist hervorragend fest gemacht, nicht zu fest, so dass es bei Wasserbewegungen im Hafen oder bei viel Wind sich gut bewegen kann, ohne, dass es ständig ruckelt (das passiert eher, wenn das Boot zu kurz festgebunden ist). Die Bewegungen des Bootes sind dann herrlich einschläfernd, wie ein schöner Schaukelstuhl oder eine Wiege, wobei es eigentlich nur leichte Bewegungen auf der Fläche sind und kein Geschaukel. Ach, ich vermisse es schon wieder 🥰.

Manchmal hat man Pech und die Crew eines der Nachbarboote redet zu lange laut und/oder hört Musik, die man selbst lieber nicht hören möchte. Auch wenn ein Fest in San Sebastian sein sollte, schadet es nichts, wenn man Oropax dabei hat. Ich hab sie nur einmal benötigt 😉. Größeres Problem war für mich, dass beide Eisdielen im Ort nicht wirklich herausragend sind, aber ich hab dann in der Markthalle einen Bäcker entdeckt 🥰.

Amazing experience staying in the sail boat. Our host was very helpful and a little silly which I loved. The space itself was comfortable and quaint. The kitchen stocked full of any and every cooking utensil you may need. The bathroom situation isn’t as bad as one may expect it to be on a boat, the port restrooms are only a short walk away. We loved being gently rocked to sleep each night on the water and the peaceful atmosphere. Check in and out wad seamless as well. Five stars.

San Sebastian is a super location and look for the nuggets and you'll find gold!

City maintenance when having lunch, but that's life and bad timing

I had a wonderful stay onboard Pato Lucas, it was my first visit to La Gomera & I thought the idea of staying on a sailboat would be unique as well as a great way to sample port life there. The boat itself is in great condition, spotlessly clean, spacious & really comfortable. The marina has great facilities & the beach is right next door too. Perfect for an early morning dip! The owner was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He provided perfectly simple check in instructions & I would absolutely recommend staying onboard, particularly if you love boats.

exceptional treat to stay on a sailing boat! and the landlord was easy to reach and gave us lots of helpful tips

well, boat loos that can only be used to pee and have to be pumped manually take some getting used to, and the showering experience was a bit adventurous, but fine for a couple of nights.
