Everything was wonderful. We celebrated my husbands 80th birthday. The owner even left a bottle of wine aand some chocolates with a message on the big blackboard out the back . So thoughtfull Grandkids our Sons and spouses, girlfriends and family friends all enjoyed the house a lot.

This is a lovely property for a family get together. The large yard, well fenced, and large rear outdoor area were great for a bbq. The owners were prompt to reply to any questions, the property was beautifully clean and very welcoming. We also saw dolphins swim past the jetty the morning we left. Heaven.

We spent 3 nights at the property with 2 families, kids ages 13, 13, 11, plus 2 small dogs. The property is modern and well equipped. With a beautiful verandah overlooking the river. There is a queen bed and ensuite in the main house, then 2 smaller bedrooms, and a second queen in the parents retreat out the back. The mattress on the bed in the parents retreat is quite firm so if you prefer a softer mattress, choose an inside bed. The parents retreat also allows a lot of sun in early (light blinds only), and there is a noisy drip drip drip if raining, so if these things bother you, bring an eye mask and ear plugs. We did and it was fine. There is a ceiling fan out there but no aircon yet, although sounds like plans to get it. There are mosquitoes but coils and repellent are provided, but we did move inside when they started to nibble. The back yard is massive and our little dogs loved running around, and we played boules and finska. The front yard is also enclosed which is excellent for dogs or toddlers. We enjoyed a walk into the lime tree cafe for coffee each morning along the river, and Sunday we went to the Jetty bar and grill for lunch and some live music. The massive fire in the main house kept us warm all weekend. We had been looking forward to padding in the kayaks which are provided but the weather was a bit cool. The gated driveway allowed us to store our trailer safely (we bought down our electric scooters and own bikes). Comms with host excellent. Thanks

We had a great family trip to this house. It was ultra clean and had lots of handy and appreciated additions (tea bags, coffee, glad wrap, kids toys, plenty of tea towels etc - all the things you usually don’t get)

From the beginning jacqui was such a pleasure to deal with and was so accommodating with our requests. Throughout the process all instructions were so clear and easy to follow. Jacqui would have to be the best host i have ever dealt with, with any house stays, so thank you. The house was very clean, good linen etc and all amenities that is needed is provided. Such an incredible location, so peaceful and relaxing. We stayed in winter which was lovely but it would be fantastic in summer with all the extra activities. Thanks so much jacqui and phil we cant wait to come back another time 😊

A weeked away with all of the three generations of family. Fantastic location close to Perth, ideal house setup with all required amenities and pet friendly. We had perfect weather so afternoon drinks on the properties jetty were a great way to watch the sun set and having a pod of dolphins swim past was a treat for the grandkids. The enclosed front and rear yard were ideal for our 5 month old puppy to explore her new environment and the morning walks along the canal path was a joy for everyone. Thanks to Jacqui and Phil for making us feel so welcome.

Phil and Jacqui’s house was beautifully presented and in the perfect location near Murray River for a few days away with the family. I was a bit worried about the close proximity to the river and road but the house had a fenced off area at the front and a lovely big garden at the back. We were able to take our daughter’s dog and she was safe and happy in the yard. The house also has a jetty and it was a great hit with the kids fishing and crabbing. We enjoyed a drink at sunset too. Lots to do nearby in Mandurah and we visited the ‘Giants’. Thank you Jacqui for getting in touch and for making the house so comfortable. I have already recommended the house to other friends.

Jacqui is a very hospitable owner. She was very helpful when we checked in to the property. The house was very well decorated and clean. We loved spending time there. Crabbing on river band was a pleasant surprise n treat for us. We would definitely come back !

From the moment we entered the property it was just Wow! Very spacious and clean. Massive back yard for our dog to roam and explore. Kids slippery slide which they took was a great accompaniment. Well appointed with ample crockery and appliances. The property is well maintained and we would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.

We enjoyed a lovely Christmas at Retreat on the Murray. The house had everything we needed, the huge fenced yard was perfect for the dogs and having access to the jetty was really special. We loved being able to fish, and drop the crab nets off the jetty, and to just sit and enjoy the river. Overall a great experience.

We had such a relaxing stay. We really loved the property and location, which is thoughtfully laid out and really well equipped. Great walks around the river too. We'd love to come back!

Fantastic house for a family (or friends) getaway, located alongside the picturesque Murray River. The house is spotless & has all that you need from a home away from home. There's plenty of room to move & the fenced off backyard is perfect for your fur baby! We had a wonderful break and would highly recommend!

Comfy home in a nice location.

Perfect, quiet location and a beautiful, lovely home that had everything we needed. Very friendly hosts and they have thought of everything so that our family of 7 (toddler - 90 yr old) and pets had a wonderful stay. Even though it rained we had plenty of room in the large undercover area out the back or out the front under the verandah for a quiet drink. Across the road is a foot path to have long walks along the scenic river. The views from the house are absolutely beautiful. Thank you for making our family get-a-way a lovely memory. We will definitely stay there again.

Great location and exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained property. Kids made good use of kayaks and we were fortunate enough to spot dolphins on two of the days of our stay. Wonderful to have lots of little extras included.

A beautiful quiet location right on the river, plenty of room outside for kids and a fireplace which was perfect for our winter getaway. There is also a few good cafes/restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay!

Loved the location. Great for children and adults with the water just across the road. Big backyard for children to play in a safe environment. Walking distance to some nice eating venues. All in all worth a visit. We will be back again

Fantastic location. The house is perfect for a getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting out the front watching the world go by. Highly recommended. We will definitely return.

The location is fantastic, overlooking huge trees and Murray River, just beautiful! and in close proximity to local amenities. The guys tried their hand at throwing a line in from the private jetty, which is a stone's throw away from the main house. Unfortunately no fish for supper but they enjoyed just chilling with a beer in hand 😊 We also enjoyed time spent in the privacy of the back yard sitting area, which is so very spacious, well set out, and with such a lovely setting, overlooking the trees and lush green garden. Ample area to park 3 of our cars, safe and secure. The kitchen was extremely well equipped 😊 We enjoyed a cosy fire on Saturday evening, whilst we played a game of Jenga with our 4 special friend, lots of fun and laughter had by all!😂 Thank you Jacqui and Phil, so very much, for an enjoyable and comfortable stay and will highly recommend to family and friends Kindest regards

We had a great time at Retreat on the Murray!! The house was lovely with all the necessities you could need and just like the photos. The kids especially loved the kayaks! We would definitely recommend it to anyone wishing to stay there
