This was a lovely older home, with beautiful landscaping on a large lot with lovely tall trees and a large sandy beach. It was located in a quiet cove and was very peaceful.

The location is amazing, located on the cove and close to town. The amenities were perfect - canoe, kayaks, dock, life jackets, beach games, etc. The house is big and had everything we needed for two families of 4 - we could have comfortably fit more. Owner’s communication is excellent. Would book again.

Excellent property with all the toys to enjoy lake life! Outdoors is like a private park. Plenty of room for up to 10 sleeping and lots of entertaining space and a garage to store bikes and motorcycles. Fires at night with the moon reflecting off the lake was epic.

pungent odor the house was musty . I checked the A/C filters and all were disgusting and dirty. I spent the first hours of vacation cleaning air filters. The odor never left the house even after I purchased air fresheners as well as fabreeze. The vacuum was broken and not working. I had to bring my vacuum from home. The house is extremely outdated and run down. All the sliders facing the lake including the master bedroom didn’t have any screens so there was no way to open the doors to circulate air without getting bugs into the house. The master bedroom didn’t have any windows that had a screen. There were dead bugs and cob webs everywhere in corners and inside windows. Mold in the downstairs bathroom window. There is a bowl and towel placed under the toilet because the toilet upstairs leaks. The listing stated the dock could accommodate a 26 foot boat. It could not. The dock was small and could barely accommodate a canoe. The dock was also up very high and in little water so was very dangerous. I called Steve and explained that the dock was very important to us. It was a huge part of our vacation and one of the main reasons we had rented the house. I have a 5 year old son and my mother that’s disabled so this was quite the disappointment. We tried to bring the boat in but the dock was so shallow that the motor rubbed on a rock. I called Steve again to see if there was anything he could do he said the dock guy would be there on Friday to move the dock into deeper water. The dock guy didn’t show up on Friday. I asked Steve if he would be willing to refund a percentage as this was certainly something that could have been avoided had someone been monitoring the property. He said he didn’t agree that this was something they could have changed he said the lake being low was an act of nature and the dock is there therefore he delivered what he said he would. I expressed that I didn’t feel it was fair since his listing clearly stated the dock could accommodate a 26’ foot boat and this was a huge part of our vacation as we had planned on boating often. The water level being low happened over the course of the summer. Steve agreed to a small refund but it was contingent upon us not leaving a review on the property or the house. I’ve since noticed the listing has been changed and the wording about accommodating a 26 foot boat has been removed. I would not recommend this property to anyone and we will not be back.

The property had everything you would need for the lake and the owner thought of everything that you would need to cook and be comfortable. I will definitely return!

We used to own a house on Deep Cove (Sebago Lake) and it was a huge treat to have this terrific, roomy, comfortable house available to rent on the same cove. All of us, from age 8 to age 73, loved our week there.

Amazing waterfront. House is somewhat dated, but we loved our family time there.

Steve was an outstanding host, answering all our questions quickly. The house fulfilled all our needs plus some. The beach and dock were stupendous which led to hours of water play. We will definitely try and come back again next year.

Beautiful house and property. Furniture and electronics have been updated since the pictures that were included on the listing. Very comfortable, cozy, with just about anything you’d need included. 4 generations of our family represented, and everyone was sad to go. Zero issues to report. We sincerely hope to go again in the near future.

The view is beautiful, the house is well-stocked, and the master king bed is very comfortable, but there is shag carpet throughout that retains a strong, musty smell and is even slightly damp to the touch. The spiral staircase to the second floor is a hazard to walk around in the living room and you need to be careful climbing it. We will not return.

Quiet road, protected cove, and very private and spacious lot. All the right toys were there, including a lobster pot. We had a great first time stay at Sebago Lake.

House was thoroughly cleaned prior to arrival. Great outdoor space for playing, swimming or just relaxing.

This Maine vacation home was just perfect! The owner forgot to tell you that in addition to the kayaks and canoe, there are lawn games, water floats, life jackets, fishing poles, beach chairs, noodles, and a hammock to add to the lakefront charm. This home has everything you need: extra blankets, pillows, A/C, kitchen essentials, and cozy, comfy furniture. The quiet cove is a perfect place to spend the day!

My family and I have been going to the Sebago Lake area for years and as the family grew and we needed to find new places to stay each year. We may have finally found the place to stay for years to come! The home is beautiful and has plenty of space for my family and my brothers family. It was very clean and comfortable. Outside was a sprawling property for the little ones to run around as well as the private beach and dock. I look forward to staying here for years to come. I would certainly recommend this property to friends and family!

The property was gorgeous. A bit rustic But was very clean. Well supplied with items we needed. The lot was amazing, the deck was huge. Our family enjoyed our week there!

The location is great, nice yard and lake front. On a quiet cove and close to The Mosquito ice cream stand. Would recommend you stay here.

The Sebago house was everything we were looking for for our vacation. Boat dock, beach, fire pit,kayaks, cano and enough room for all 9 of us. Steve’s place was fantastic !! The accommodations were superb and being on the cove was phenomenal!! We had the added benefit of a family of owls joint our nightly fire. We just loved being there and and Steve was a great and accommodating host. Hopefully we’ll be back next year❤️

Absolutely outstanding in all respects. The owner was extremely responsive to the few questions we had and was an excellent source for local info. This clean, quaint and comfortable property is almost to good to be true with a beautiful setting ON THE LAKE, it perfectly accommodated our adult group of 6. Access to stores, main roads, yet still such a quiet setting. Very much looking forward to returning here again!

Our grown daughters and families (3 grandchildren) stayed one week with us during a heat wave, perfect timing. The water front was special, and we all made good use of the raft, dock and lake. While the house is slightly dated, it was clean and comfortable and met our needs. Not all 9 of us overlapped the whole week, but when we were all there it was convenient and fun to eat out on the deck. I would rent this property again!!

We stayed for 4 days at this beautiful cabin. The view and yard are amazing. The house was clean and well kept. Plenty of room for multiple families. We will definitely be back.

This was just what we were looking for. Relaxing and private but just a short drive to Portland and the nearby areas.

Because I had never arranged a stay in such a spacious cottage before, I had no idea what to expect for my family and I, as I planned our surprise 40th Wedding Anniversary weekend. I needn't have worried. The layout of cottage and its grounds was everything I had hoped for, and more. The peacefulness and beauty of this place, and the welcoming attitude of our host, Steve, made this event so memorable. We are already talking of returning.

Took me a while to write this review, but now that I'm looking for a rental for this summer I'm remembering how amazing this house was. Private and spacious, it fit our family & friends perfectly, allowing everyone to have their own space as well as bond together in the family room/outside. The water area is wonderful as well. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The home was very welcoming and we were all very comfortable here. The best part is the private beach with a dock and kayaks to take out on the lake. I very much recommend this place!

I rented this beautiful house for two weeks , this house was perfect for a large family ! Every comfort of home and then some !! This house is in the best spot of the lake ,close to ramp gas and stores ! Great neighbors also ! I would love to rent this house again !!! Thank you Steve Rob

The description of this property was very accurate regarding the location, layout and all the amenities! The privacy of the lot was fantastic! The lot is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The firepit and all the chairs provided were also a delight to use in the evening hours. Location to local stores was also very convenient. We loved the large open room on the second floor as well as the bathroom. Great extra space! The 2 patio tables came in very handy, and the deck was a terrific extension to the house! We used it with much delight. We loved the ability to put the air conditioners on when and if we needed them.....a big plus. We also loved the fact that we could bring the pets too. We would definitely recomment this vacation home!! Thank you to the Cowan family!!!
