Overall it was a good stay for us.

Loved the pool! The owner was very responsive - fun time.

The house is situated in the Vista hills, overlooking the town, and has a wonderful sunset view. The landscaping is very pretty with tropical flowers, passionfruit vines, and succulents as the backyard terraces down to the good-sized pool. The owner has made a lot of effort to have games and pool toys for kids. The kitchen is furnished with a good variety of utensils and kitchenware. We were a family of 21 (and 2 dogs) enjoying a reunion. We used every room and bed, yet the house could accommodate our large group without our feeling "squished." The interior of the home is comfortably and attractively furnished. The owner is very attentive and quickly addressed any question we had.

Host was super easy to communicate with, and was very accommodating. Great space in the back for entertainment. There’s actually a pretty nice view as the house sits up on top of a hill. Pool and hot tub was clean. It had beach chairs too. I would definitely recommend staying here for large parties given the amount of beds and short rideshare access to town!

Manuel was extremely responsive and provided a helpful walk through when we checked in. Home was perfect for our stay. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Came with plenty of towels our use. We all enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay again.

We had 4 families staying at this property and plenty of room. Everyone had a great time on the shuffle board, and the pool was as great. The owner was responsive to questions and requests and even met us there on day 1 to walk us through everything. A couple of the showers were tight but worked just fine. The views were great and we would definitely stay there again.

Great place for a family get together. Adequate space, furnishings, and amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and outdoor areas.

Highly recommend this house! We rented it for an extended family vacation, and had a wonderful experience. Manual was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the entire process - From our initial questions before booking to the end of our stay, he responded to inquiries quickly, and was always very accommodating and helpful. The house was great - Very clean, fully stocked, beautiful backyard, plenty of parking, awesome pool and hot tub, and incredible views. Loved it!

I was expecting to see the luxury and beauty I saw on the pictures of this property. I realized once I got there that pictures are edited. The house was very run down, I didn’t see any renovations on any of the rooms, very expensive for what it is.

House was clean and nicely maintained. Backyard was beautiful. It was raining during our stay. Didn’t enjoy much outside. Owner was mostly responsive. We paid premium price for the rental because of the heated pool description but were told it’s only by solar heating when inquired before our trip. Little disappointed our kids couldn’t enjoy their time together in the pool. House was felt small for 21 people.

The pool needs a cover. We were told the pool heats with solar but it never warmed even though it was sunny for 4 days. The pool was too cold to use. A pool cover would have made the time much more enjoyable. Other than that the place was very clean and well taken care of. Property manager, Manuel, was very helpful and responsive.

We visited with our team for a frisbee tournament in San Diego. Lots of room to spread out, good sized kitchen for cooking meals. Manuel was very responsive with questions and any small issues. Backyard & pool hangout area was beautiful, and easy check-in & out process.

This was the perfect place for our group - the house had all the amenities we needed. The kitchen was large, the pool & spa area gorgeous. The property owner was easy to communicate with and very quick to respond to any of my questions.

Manuel was wonderful & accommodating. We were able to have a wonderful time with friends and family with enough room for gathering inside and out.

The owner was very attentive. Met us on the day of arrival and did a walk thru to show how everything worked. Was even kind enough to mail a swimsuit my granddaughter left behind. The pool and spa were throughly enjoyed by my 8 grandchildren. Good house for a large family getaway.

We had a group of 20+ stay for a family reunion and had a great time. Manuel was extremely attentive to our needs and couldn't have asked for more. House was clean, location great, and had everything we needed.

The house and guest house were comfortable enough. Overall, we had a significant difference with the host regarding the definition of good hospitality. Upon our arrival on a very hot July day, we had a few concerns. For one, the temperature inside both the house and guest house was very uncomfortable (80 degrees). Too hot especially for our newborn grandson. Also upon arrival we where informed there was a chlorine shortage in the country and swimming pool could be kept warm water for sanitizing purposes. The grounds are very well landscaped with many lovely plants and trees. However, a very small plant was damaged which we were not aware of and for which we did apologize. The host accused us of deliberately disrespecting and deliberately damaging the plant. Finally, and absolutely unacceptable to me, a flea on me in the master bedroom.

Property was very nice. Perfect located for our stay (1/2 between San Marcos and Carlsbad). Met owner (Manuel). He showed us around. Was very open about some improvements he was in process of making (recently acquired property). Quiet neighborhood, little to no traffic there. Would come back.

The host was great. Responsive and polite. The house is nice and private. The furnishings aren't the best but the pool and spa were a joy. Thanks for the enjoying week.

Manuel was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. It is a great house that worked out great for my family and I to stay during the weekend of my daughter's wedding. There was plenty of space for all of the bridesmaids to get ready before the wedding and other family members to hang out at the pool. There was an accident with the cleaning person and therefore the house was not as clean as we would have liked, but Manuel was good about working with us regarding that.

Had a mini family reunion here and it fits our 20+ members here comfortably. The home is beautiful and although the weather was cooler than expected we still stayed in the pool for hours. The house was clean and well equipped. Manuel was very responsive and accommodating Will definitely book again in the future!

The property is nice. It has 4 bedrooms in the main house (2 upstairs) and a separate casita. House is well stocked with things you need for your stay and can comfortably fit a large number of people. The backyard is beautifully landscaped with lush greenery around the pool blocking views from neighboring houses. Property owner lives close by and is easily accessible for any questions prior and during our stay.

We had a great stay at this property. Roger and Nannell were very responsive to our needs. Wish we had better weather during our stay.

This property was amazing! The property had great amenities (hot tub, heated pool, outdoor seating) that my family enjoyed every day of our stay. We did some sightseeing, beach time, hiking... this property is near everything (San Diego within 30-45mins, Beach 15mins) and yet far enough away that we felt we had our own secluded getaway. The house is spacious and inviting. My family and I would definitely stay here again.

The property was clean and the owner, Nanell, was wonderful. We especially liked the pool area. We were very satisfied.

We booked this property for a family getaway with our adult children and young grandchildren. There were 11 of us and the house was large enough to fit us all comfortably. We spent most of our time in the pool and hot tub. Eight of us were usually in the pool at the same time and it didn’t feel crowded due to the pool being fairly large. The pool temp was just right - a little chill when first entering, then warm when swimming around. The hot tub is 104 degrees. Beach towels are provided. There is plenty of seating and umbrella tables around the pool and up near the house. The kitchen is well stocked and we had everything we needed to prepare meals. There is a set of plastic dishes to use for dining outside. The master bedroom has a very large shower and there is a jacuzzi tub. The mattresses in both downstairs bedrooms are super comfortable. The mattresses upstairs are on the very firm side. Bathroom towels were plentiful and in great condition. There is plenty of shopping nearby and restaurants. Unfortunately, due to Covid, the restaurants are only open for take out. Nannell, the owner is communicative, kind and helpful and lives at the back of the property, secluded from the main house. She will tell you, that unless you need something, you won’t see her during your stay. The house felt like our own, is very private, and there is fencing and shrubs between the neighbors on each side. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

This place turned out to be the right place for our very large family. Located on a hill with a nice view. The house had practically everything you would need and more. The detached game room was perfect for the teenagers for entertainment and sleeping. The Pool and the spa were a big plus. But there is always room for improvement and that is one of the reasons why we included the following items: The schedule for the pool creepy crawler cleaning would be better suited for the guests if it was scheduled for the middle of the night and not in the daytime; it took us awhile to figure out how to remove the temperature hold on the thermostat that a previous guest had set, the owners did not know how to remove it; there were some dust and cow webs on the living room furniture; some sheets had stains on them; there was no place to hang your clothes in the master bedroom, the only closet in the master bedroom was locked off; we found a black widow under one of the pool side chairs; the handle/lock on the game room bathroom was hanging on by a thread; the game room bathroom shower/tub was not draining well; still the right place for a very very large family.

Our family of five and our dog really enjoyed our time there. There was so much room and we had everything we needed. It was one of the best places I have ever rented and we had zero complaints. We especially loved the pool and hot tub. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and the beds were very comfy. I highly recommend it! We miss it already!
