Beautiful property, spotlessly clean and Barbara was a fantastic host. Room was spacious and very nicely finished and the bed was really comfortable. We had a great nights sleep and in the morning we were served a cracking breakfast

Very conveniently located to visit Connemara. Barbara, our host, was very welcoming and gave us very useful tips to visit the area.

Very friendly hosts giving us a warm welcome. The room was placed at the top floor. It was nicely decorated. Everything was well cleaned. The location is only a view minutes from the lake away so we enjoyed a nice evening walk that day. There is also a good choice for several restaurants nearby. We also had a good breakfast in the morning.

Perfect location to explore Connemara and really close to Galway as well.
The hosts were super welcoming so you feel right at home, with the privacy and comfort of a hotel.
Breakfast was great, choice of pancakes or full Irish.

Woodlands Guest House was just what we needed after a long day touring. The accommodation was spacious, bright, comfortable, and clean. Barbara was very welcoming and made us feel relaxed and at home. We would definitely stay again and spend some more time exploring the local sights.

What a wonderful place to stay! Firstly, Barbara was such a wonderful host and she was so nice to talk to. She makes you feel right at home. The house is very well kept and everything was clean and tidy. Very quiet area too! Bedrooms were well stocked and comfortable. It's a short walk into town with some great restaurants and shops. Make sure to ask about the shortcut to walk into town. Breakfast was as excellent as most full Irish breakfasts are. If you're traveling around Connemara, this is a great spot to stay. Less than an hour to the ferry and airport for the Aran Islands. There's a beautiful drive that runs straight to Rossaveel. Kylemore Abby is about an hours drive. I wish we had time to spend at Woodlands a little longer! When we come back to this area we will definitely look to stay here.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. The room was also warm, but not to warm, the bed was very comfortable and it was quiet and close to the town, which had a tesco, and some take Aways and restaurants. The bathroom was clean and the shower was great! The breakfast was nice to! The lady was very friendly and her lovely dog was there to welcome us with a smile.

Barbara and John are amazing host. Barbara prepared lovely breakfast for us. She packed sandwiches with her homemade chutney for our road travel. She and John, both, are very welcoming - we spoke alot about our diverse culture. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and neat. We had a very good night sleep :)

Superb stay located in a very quiet area near to the village . Rooms were clean and comfy. Breakfast was also so good and highly recommend.

Great location for cycling/walking and the village of Oughterard was a short walk away. Barbara, our host was lovely, the room was exceptional and the breakfast was really good. 100% recommended.

Barbara was an amazing host and was very welcoming and friendly, and made us feel very comfortable. Our grandson felt very at ease with Barbara and she looked after him like one of her own family. Max labrador was an added bonus for our grandson. Excellent host, beautiful home, local town and residents very friendly great shops, cafe and bars. Thank you so much Barbara for a lovely stay hopefully see you soon again.

I’m 6ft 3in and I was in a room with a slopping ceiling on both ends. The only place I could stand upright was in the middle of the room.

Everything was perfect! The house and our room were spacious, bright and cozy. But the best part was Barbara and Max, our daughter loved him. Barbara was so nice and helpful. We will definitely come back.

Everything about our stay at Woodlands was superb. Barbara is a great host; she even managed to get our wet motorcycle gear dry. The house is a short walk from Oughterard with bars and shops, and a good bus service to Galway city. Thoroughly recommended.
