We travelled to Cilenia as a group of 13 across 3 generations. It ticked all the boxes we were looking for - within walking distance to a town, beautiful view, games such as table tennis, darts, table football, large swimming pool, brilliant, big and well equipped kitchen and a choice of places to eat with tables that are big enough for our group. All this, extremely comfortable accommodation and the most welcoming host in Miriam, one of the sisters that owns it. Her mother even made us a cake. Only downside was there wasn't a washing machine for us to use and we travel very light so need to do some laundry, but Miriam did our washing for us when we asked so that wasn't a problem either. It's also a brilliant base for discovering the area - lakes, springs, beautiful old towns.

Our family of 13, ages 5 to 70, loved being at Villa Cilenia and the off the beaten path small town of Celleno. The villa is spacious with beautiful grounds & a lovely pool. There were enough bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, so that we all had comfort and privacy. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to prepare & serve meals although we cooked only one dinner for ourselves. The first part of our Italy vacation were spent in Rome & Florence, with much hustle & bustle every day, so being in a quiet, country setting was a great way to spend the final days of our trip. The common areas of the villa are homey & comfortable and the pool was a blessing given the high temperatures Italy was experiencing during our visit. Everyone, especially the children, made daily use of it. Celleno is a small town and it seemed that we were the only tourists there. There are many things to do & sites to see within a short drive. We really liked being there and felt welcomed by the local merchants we met during our stay. Our hosts Carla, Miriam, Simona and Monica were very kind and responsive and always quickly available if we had questions or needed anything. Not only were they lovely hosts but they can cook too! They prepared and served a delicious, multi course Italian "feast" for us one evening that was the highlight dinner of our trip. So much delicious food, wine and dessert that we enjoyed it the next day as well. For our last night, before flying home in the morning, they prepared a "pizza pool party" that was again a highlight and the best pizza we had in Italy. Villa Cilenia was a beautiful and peaceful place to stay with wonderful hosts, accommodations & food!

Staying at Cilenia was an amazing experince ! The house is wonderful and allows you to enjoy the Italian dolce vita. The location is perfect, surrounded by the beautiful tourist sites of the region. Thank you to the hosts, i can only strongly recommend staying at this enchanting villa
