It was a fantastic week out on the lake. The house was great, well equipped and maintained - perfect for the kids with a wonderful bedroom, game room, super nice dock, tons of lake toys and entertainment. We look forward to returning next year!

Great for family stays.

The place was well stocked and had everything we needed. We were traveling with another couple and 5 kids aged 2-5 between us. The bunk room was great for the little ones and the toys and books kept them occupied when it rained. The dock was great for fishing…we caught bass and sunfish and we loved that there were plenty of life vests for the kids to wear when fishing and joining us on the kayaks. We also loved the sun room on the dock and the kids loved the beach area. Overall great visit and we will be back!

We booked Tara Cove Cottage for a quick trip with our kids and grandparents. The home is in a lovely quiet area of lake Anna, not too far from the food lion should you need to go to the grocery store. The house was extremely clean and well kept. You can tell the owners take good care of their property. It came fully stocked with all your kitchen needs. All kitchenware lightly used and was cleanly organized with updated appliances. The house was full of entertainment for the whole family. The dock/boathouse was the highlight of our trip. We did not rent a boat this time around but if you do this home has everything you need, boat slip and lift. We did spend hours on the water even still with the kayaks and paddleboards which the home came equipped with. There were also fishing rods, life jackets and plenty of water toys. We loved how organized and easy it was to find everything. You could tell everything in the home is well cared for. The dock looks newly built with fans and lighting installed throughout. The screened-in porch is a nice bonus for those who hate bugs. Garage had pool table, ping pong, foosball, darts and lounge area. So many things for your family to enjoy. We will be sure to rent again, hopefully in the summertime. You won’t regret it! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The house had everything you could need. The view was beautiful! The location is great. We visited Fredericksburg, Washington DC, King’s Dominion, and Lake Anna State Park. The hosts were very quick to respond to any questions I had during booking and while at the house. We would definitely stay at this wonderful lake house again!

Perfect spot for our vacation. The house is beautiful and right on the water. Easy kayaking and fishing, plus BBQ and bonfires. The house was clean and well stocked with the essentials. The kids loved the bunk room with game closet and books. Having the garage game room was an added bonus that everyone enjoyed. Owners were very nice and responsive, we plan to come back again!

This could not have been more perfect! Location was fantastic, arriving was a breeze, the house was immaculately clean and it was perfect for our small family get together to celebrate a 60th birthday. Unfortunately rain kept us inside but there was still ample space for everyone to hang out. On top of all that, the owners were wonderful to work with. Super responsive and so nice! 10/10! Not only would I absolutely rent this house again, I will be recommending it to anyone looking for a place to stay at Lake Anna!

Our short Sept weekend was exactly what we wanted: Perfect weather, warm water, TONS of activities for our teenagers without having to leave the property, plenty of space, lots of flexible sleeping options. By far, this vacation rental has been the most accommodating one we’ve been to. There were so many little, thoughtful ways that made it feel like home - from kitchen items to beach towels to lovely linens to water activities to daily supplies… We hope to be back. This property was fantastic! Excellent location, plenty of room for the whole family. Kitchen is fully stocked with a large TV in an open family room. The bunk bed room was great for the kids. We loved the boathouse and swimming/paddle boarding/kayaking. Much of our time was also spent enjoying the spacious deck and the screened-in sitting area in the boathose. We went in early September and the water was perfect temperature for swimming. Definitely would return!

House was great and listing of the property was very accurate. We had a great stay and enjoyed all aspects of the house, the garage with the games, the deck, and the dock for swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, and SUP'ing!

Jay & Cynthia have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable! The house had wonderful quality linens and lake towels for everyone and the beds were so soft it took no time to fall asleep. Our kids enjoyed the bunk room and the games in both the game closet and the garage. The water amenities kept the children busy for hours. Kayaks, paddle boards, fishing poles, tubes, water mat, and floats. You truly need to bring nothing to enjoy the water. The screened in dock area was perfect for lunch time and evening relaxing. There was ample space to tie the boat and jet skis off. There was a detailed binder available when we arrived to outline the property and needs for our stay. Jay & Cynthia were very responsive when we had questions. The cove is well located floating and kids playing without worry of main lake traffic. You’re a short boat ride to the marina and the view is absolutely breathtaking. You really couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.

We had such a great stay! The location was perfect and the whole family enjoyed playing in the water and relaxing. It was everything we needed and the perfect amount of space.

Everything about this rental property was great. The home was loaded with all the amenities from my home, plus some. The location is perfect for family’s with young kids as well. Thanks again to the owner for providing us a great week!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were plenty of toys to keep everyone busy from 12 to 80 and the house worked very well for 10 of us. The host was very responsive and answered all of our questions. We would stay again.
