Wonderfully owned property, feet from the water and adorably decorated!

Sunset Circle was simply perfect! Loved the decorating inside the cabin - so clean and neat! We found everything we needed for a nice, "chill" weekend. Our hosts were very easy to work with and were always quick to respond to questions. We would highly recommend Sunset Circle and hope to be back again!

My husband and I stayed here for our wedding. Not only was the place adorable, but Bob was a great host. He communicated very quickly with any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again.

We had our family get together here Aug 12 - 15th. There were 6 of us total 5 adults and a 5 year old. We loved the location and coziness of the cottage. Everything was perfect. The only thing was the construction on the road but other than that the place was great. Thanks much for an awesome weekend.

The House was very clean and beautiful. The lake was beautiful for fishing and kids playing in the lake. I communicated to the property manager 24 hrs before arriving and he never said anything about the construction going on in the neighborhood or that the road was under construction. When taking a shower with no hot water. Was even tougher. All the faucets had hot water but not the shower and all the water smelled like the lake.

This place is beautifully decorated, and the lake location is great. The lake is nice and clean, too. However, there are no blinds or other coverings on the patio doors to the lake or on the back door. Considering that the bathroom adjoins the kitchen and the bedroom is around the corner and down the hall, this is a real problem. There's not even a hook inside the bathroom for a robe, so getting from the bathroom to the bedroom without risking exposure if someone is walking by or if you're with other people is a real feat. Also, there's no way to leave the only outside opening in the bedroom (a door) open to the breeze as there's no screen. Finally, plan to take a very short shower as the hot water gives out fast. I did like the place, and it's generally well equipped, but it needs a few improvements.

I came to Forest Lake with my family of 6, two adults and 4 children (age 12, 9, 4, and 2). This was the perfect home! We were right on the lake and I couldn’t get over the view. The bunk room was great and the kids LOVED have their own little space when the curtains to the bunks were closed. The detail that went into the numbered pillows were so cute! Although it was smaller than we usually stay with our family of 6, the closeness of us all being together was wonderful! We spent so much time outside and the sand area for my little ones was needed!! I would Highly recommend staying here !!

The location is perfect, the sunsets are beautiful and the cabin is decorated so well. Definitely coming back.

We were able to hire a pontoon and keep it docked. We felt at quite at home here. We hosted acouple of afternoon get-togethers with family and their children. We discovered Log Cabin take-away food to share was excellent. Highly Recommend

Our stay at the Sunset Cottage at Forest Lake was perfect for our family of 4. Our two little ones (3 and 1) had plenty of things to keep busy with between the fun bunk beds and games inside to the private stretch of beach in the backyard. The days were filled with playing at the house, exploring the friendly neighborhood with evening walks, and finding parks, food, and ice cream in town. Bob and Kelly were very responsive to a couple small issues we ran into during our time there but nothing that detracted from us being able to enjoy our stay to the fullest!

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bob's cabin. It was just the relaxing, recharging, snowy get-away we were looking for. The decor and finishes throughout the cabin are so charming. I highly recommend a visit!

Beautiful little place!!

We had the best girls weekend here at this beautiful cabin! The updates and decor were perfect and fit our style. We loved everything about our stay. Perfect for the 5 of us to fit too! Highly recommend

We had a nice stay. The place is decorated very well and has Great Lake access with a nice flat yard close to the water. It’s small but the space is well utilized. The hosts didn’t communicate at all during or after our stay. After our stay was pretty disappointing and shocking to get a notice from Vrbo that we were being charged $450 by the hosts for replacement of several light fixtures and some drawers we didn’t use. There were 2 large heavy lamps hanging down below 5 feet in a hallway that every person had to walk through, so of course it got bumped by heads a few times. The full weight of the lamps were hanging from the electrical cord so one of them came disconnected when it was gently bumped, leaving live electrical wires at face level. Another light fixture directly above a pillow wasn’t installed correctly and could have been fixed easily if we had an Allen wrench. I called the hosts but got no answer or call back, just a bill. In short - it could be a great place to stay if you have damage insurance and dont touch anything!

We loved our stay at this beautifully appointed lake cottage. It felt roomier than the listed square footage. The owners did a great job of decorating the cottage. The water was lower than expected but it’s been a very dry spring and summer in Minnesota.

What more can you ask for but a great house on a lake? The house was very clean, organized and provided all the amenities that you need for a stay on the lake. The house was small, but everything is new inside and incredibly well organized which made it feel much bigger that it was. Right on the lake with a dock and even a canoe with life jackets. Coffee on the dock in the morning and watching the sunsets in the evening. It rained a bit, which was nice (seldom see that in SoCal). They thought of everything. Thanks so much.

This property was terrific! We enjoyed sitting around the fire, lounging on the deck, walking through the neighborhood and great laughs around the table!

The property is newly remodeled however it is all IKEA. And there is a mold/mildew problem. If we would have been scheduled to stay more than 4 nights we would have left on day 4 anyway. We all got a cough after sleeping one night. Things you might want to know if bringing kids/infant..... there is no recliner or rocking chair nor any laying down lawn furniture for relaxing by the lake. The lakeshore is not maintained. When I asked for a weed rake to clear an area for kiddos to play I was told there wasn’t one. Yes the lake was extra green due to the drought however that even means there should be effort into maintaining the shoreline. There are no board games, cards, etc. Only the video games and a couple vintage quality yard games. For this price I would expect a perfect lake shore and at least some relaxing lawn furniture.

The house has been recently renovated and the owners have done a great job decorating and equipping the place. The sunsets from the dock, the deck or the canoe are wonderful. The queen bed is comfortable and there is room for up to four kids in two bunk beds (with plenty of outlets to charge their devices and individual reading lamps). The nearby town has restaurants, supermarkets, and a swimming beach, although we went swimming in the St. Croix river nearby. We highly recommend the place!

Cabin is just as cute as the pictures. Kids loved the berths and the game room, the water is warm (it's shallow so no real swimming but great for younger kids, and we were just as happy to float around in the sun). The fountains on the shore are a fun touch, too. Owner is very responsive and helpful. Great place!

It was the perfect little spot to spend a long weekend. The hosts are fabulous and the house and property were excellent. Will definitely come again!!!!
