2 doors to the deck would not work. One was closed and held with a tie down strap which to me is a potential hazard in case of fire. The stove and countertop is taller than standard. Our friend had to stand on a step to stir her chili. The cooking utensils pots and pans are pretty tired and should be refreshed. The knives were so dull we had to go buy new ones. The carpet has lots of stains and should be professionally cleaned or replaced. The upstairs shower head (not the main bedroom) should be replaced. Should have instruction on how to lock the front door. The entry needed to be swept and cleaned up as it’s the first impression when you start to enter the home. Location is great

Overall a great stay. The location is perfect, the rooms were great sizes and fit us well. Would book again.

So all in all this was an amazing stay. The tubs downstair could use a scrub. There some dishes that were tidy as well, but all in all it was super fun.

Beautiful home and view.

Such a beautiful house and gorgeous view! We had such a wonderful time even though the oven wasn't working and the downstairs toilet wasn't operational. The hot tub was fabulous!

Great house, amazing view! Only complaints were the stove and downstairs toilet were not working, and all but one of the deck chairs were al broken. We were informed about the toilet and stove right before our stay and they did have an air fryer. It was very clean and comfortable.

this is a nice property. Unfortunately, the property mgmt. response to the shower issue never happened despite my texts to the mgmt. company. they just strung me along until it was too late to do anything so we had no showers for 3 days. on top of this, the northerly french doors in the master are broken and wont stay closed in wind.The problem is that the upper and lower latches were removed from the door and the door lever latch is impeded. by a piece of metal so there is nothing holding the door closed. it was windy second night and the door blew open 3 times before i figured out what was wrong. We ended up just moving the bar chairs against the doors(being careful not to mash the window shades in the process. So. Not a great trip. Having said all of this, we really liked the house and the attention to detail the owners exhibited. well stocked kitchen, nice jacuzzi tub(i suspect the showers are all on a seperate water circuit), nicely furnished and nice art prints and originals throughout. I suspect these folks MAY have lived here for some period of time--that nice was the house. we would love a "do over" as we've stayed out on Road's End before and like the area. it is really up to the property managers to decide what compensation we should receive. i am waiting on that and will update my review when (and if) we hear anything from VRBO/Vacasa

Oven didn't work but apparently they knew but we weren't told it And spent a long time trying to figure it out to cook all of the food we had brought.. Code didn't work to get in until we had to call and message for a new code. One bedroom had dog hair all over The bed. It's a big house and a great location though.

This large and lovely oceanfront home is perfect for a family gathering. The views from the living/dining rooms and the master bedroom are incredible. The house is very well equipped, and there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We had one problem with the oven not functioning, but it was addressed very promptly by the property manager. Highly recommended.

You can’t beat the views and room for everyone.

We love this house! It was our second time staying here. We hope it’s available next year for our trip. The sleeping set up is great and we love the big dining table for playing cards

My adult children, with spouses and 2 toddlers, had a wonderful and comfortable 3 day stay. Plenty of room for us all. Very spacious master bedroom. Nice amenities. Worst thing, which is not within the house itself, is the rough trail to the beach. Rough and rocky, but manageable. Needs work. I recommend the house.

Great space with privacy for more than one family. Downstairs houses a grandma and a family of 4. Upstairs housed one family with 1 kid. Could have had more folks up there. We liked the layout, the view, the quiet off the main drag location and beach path. We could get to most needed things - groceries, pharmacy, ice cream and restaurants. It's the 2nd time we have stayed in this neighborhood. I've already booked this place again. The place was clean and had most things you might need. We like to cook and we did want to have more cutting boards. The dining chairs were so loud on the floor - they just need some felt pads. I give this place a 5/5 and will book again to share with friends and family!

This house was perfect for our family! The views were amazing and beach access was a short walk down the street! The house has plenty of room to spread out and the hot tub was lovely at the end of the day. We would definitely stay here again!

Clean and comfortable

This is a beautiful home! We had everything we needed for a wonderful family getaway……in the midst of a freak snow weekend at the coast. The rooms had comfortable furnishings and pleasant decor! Kitchen was well appointed. Met all our needs!

Spacious house with an amazing view. However some maintenance is definitely needed, which we were told by the maintenance man the owners weren't interested in doing. 1. A set of blinds fell down the first night we were there (hence the visit from the maintenance man). 2. The backdoor to the patio did not lock. Not safe at all. We we asked the maintenance man about that he said they've screwed the door shut in the past but then then only access we'd have to the deck would have been around the front of the house, down a flight of stairs and up another flight. Not to mention a major safety issue - blocking an exit and also allowing access overnight or when we left the house. 3. The hot tub did not work and maintenance or Vacasa never responded to multiple requests. It looked like it just needed water added, but I wasn't going to take my chance. And there was a pretty good layer of sand in the bottom. It was one of the factors that made us choose the house and we did not get to use it the entire 7 days we were there. As has been mentioned, the kitchen counters are weirdly tall. Luckily they provide a step stool. If the maintenance items were addressed and fixed I'd highly recommend this house. But from my experience, I would not rent it again.

The view. The space. The location. The hot tub. The multiple bathrooms. The everything.

Everything

The view from this house is truly great. Location is good, there is no direct access to the beach, however it's conveniently located about 10 minutes walk away from beach access. The house itself is incredibly dated. It does look like there was a partial remodel of the main floor maybe 10-15 years ago, however the rest of the house is screaming 1990ies. There is dirty carpet through the downstairs and upstairs. Heavily used fiberglass showers and 4" tile all over master bathroom are really not adequate for $500+/night rental. Beach towels provided by the host were great, however heavily used cheap towels in the bathrooms were extremely disappointing. The main disappointment was lack of access to the deck from the main level. The doors are screwed shot, looked like because of the broken hinges . Please replace the hinges, so your guests can access really the best feature of your home. There is a grill in a garage, however for some reason they mounted propane tank holder upside down, so you have to disconnect the gas tank in order to move the grill into the front yard for actual grilling. Speaking of the front yard - there is a semi-dead tree there and nobody cleaned the yard from the pine needles in months. In summary - some minor upgrades and maintenance would make this location an excellent choice.

Gorgeous home with magnificent primary bedroom and bathroom and great, well-stocked kitchen. As others have mentioned, the counters are abnormally high but we are all tall so we loved it! The downside for us was that the door from the family room to the deck (that faces the ocean and is the primary reason for renting an oceanfront home) was not working so there was no way to sit outside and take in that glorious view except to go outside and walk down one very long, steep flight of stairs and up another. I am disabled and could not make that trek so the enormous amount of money I spent on this family vacation felt, in large part, wasted. We were given no advance notice of this issue and another reviewer mentioned it in July so it has been broken for over a month. It had also been screwed shut with large, protruding screws that were a danger for our two babies and two toddlers. As someone else mentioned, the floors were filthy … our feet were literally black and my 9 month old granddaughter had to be bathed after crawling around. I’d also note that the sheets on the king bed in the primary bedroom were so pilled that it was like sleeping on gravel. Had this been a $300/night rental I would have overlooked some of these issues. However, I paid over three times that per night for our 4 night stay and feel that, despite this being a lovely home, there were things that should have been resolved prior to our stay.

Positive: The house is spacious, comfortable, very well equipped and has a spectacular view. Master bedroom & bath was awesome! Beach access is only about 5 houses away. Negative: Tile floors were dirty (our bare feet turned black). The door to the deck from the main floor was out of commission and screwed shut. To access the main deck we had to either go out the front door or to the basement, down 15 steps, then back up 15 steps to get to it. One of the two doors to the upper deck in the Master bedroom was also out of commission. The hot tub was nice sized but the temp was never more than 91°, like a tepid bath. There were large sticky spots on the dining room walls, maybe from some type of decoration adhesive. Coffee pot doesn't fit coffee maker correctly so had to manually make the basket drain. Overall: We had a great time, but were very disappointed with the floors, deck doors and hot tub.

Pro’s: Loved location, Floorplan, Beach Access, Hot tub and great views! Kitchen well appointed. Would stay again. Con’s: Some visibly deferred maintenance, carpets desperately need cleaning/replacement as extremely stained, laundry washer was moldy inside and needed a part replaced, and deck doors on main level were broken so we could not access the main deck on the back of house without going down to the lower level and coming up from back yard.

A gas fireplace is a “NO BRAINER”and the full size beds in 2 of the rooms? QUEEN size at the minimum!!! Everything else was stellar!!!!!!!Would rent again at a repeat renter discount!!!

My family had a wonderful time. The place was clean and plenty of room for everyone.
