Great beach front location. Relaxing and private. Hosts were nice and made sure all was well.

We had a great time, the place was beautiful and the hosts were very nice and caring. We will definitely be back in the summer.

The place was clean, with plenty of hot water and decent water pressure. The beds are comfortable and everyone slept well. We were not disturbed by the trains. The wood pile was very nice. Paul, one of the owners, was very helpful. He was the right combination of helpful and available, but not intrusive. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We drank beer by the fire, hung out on the deck, cooked breakfasts, drank coffee and went to the lakeshore! Great location to our wedding venue at Blissful Barn. Bakeries, antique shopping was so much fun! This place has provided us with a great memory of friends and family. Our dog was comfortable too! Host Paul was very kind and accommodates us well!

This is a great location and was a good place for our family to gather for the weekend. The place was clean and we enjoyed the open room. Close to the private beach access and walkable to food. The new owners are working on providing additional amenities but a great place to relax with family.

We so enjoyed our stay at Carrie’s Cottage, the Beach access was wonderful! We enjoyed the walk & even the stairs, were great exercise! The Beach is BEAUTIFUL! Great communication! Property is just as pictured. Not fancy, but clean & close walk to the Beach! It was just the solitude we were looking for.

If you have dogs and family then thos is where you want to stay. We loved it.

The highlight of this property is the quick walk to the beach.

My husband and I wanted a nice Harbour Country beach vacation where we could take our dogs and be comfortable. This was perfect. It was comfortable without being fancy. The fenced in yard was great for our dogs and nice for lounging. The beach is a short walk away. My husband and I are in our 60s and had no problem with the stairs, but it is a bit of a workout. Not a problem for us, just something to be aware of. The train is close by but didn’t bother us at all. We will definitely stay again and recommend it to others. This would be a great spot for a family with several kids! It is very spacious and has three bathrooms.

Really loved the owners Jenny and Paul. Very responsive and accommodating during arrival and departure. This property is practical, spacious, and properly priced. The property needs some updates as the others have mentioned but the space for the kids to run around, the rooms, and of course the private beach access made it worth it. Again, practical but not convenient . It’s a daily stroll and plan for the day. You have to walk to the beach but the neighborhood is beautiful and the neighbors and guests are so polite and friendly you should do more walking in the area. Fairly priced, temper your expectations about the property as it is rustic and make use of the beach and area. I think most will agree it’s worth it

The place is newly acquired by a local family and while there are some kinks to work out in terms of cleaning and amenities, there’s lots of space for an affordable price with responsive owners, and the shared private beach a block away was wonderful.

My husband and I planned this weekend getaway with our adult children and their friends. We had a blast! The cottage is spacious. Kitchen is small but I wasn't planning to do much cooking on my vacation. The beach is only 5 min walk. We absolutely loved the semi-private beach. There are many places to dine a short driving distance away. Golf course is only 15 minute drive. Highly recommend this cute little cottage.

This is a no frills house with a great location. I would have marked it a 4.5 but that is not an option. Overall location is great- private and fenced which is great for dogs and family. Paul met us and us just fabulous at our check in. The train does run more than noted and not per se at consistent times but was not an issue. The beach is fabulous and the main sell. All the amenities for loads of fun! The house is very basic and I think a few updates would go a long way- mainly the bathrooms, paint, kitchen supplies. There is no laundry but a great clothes line. Also extra cleaning supplies would be helpful. Overall we had a great time and would recommend to not let the basic-ness of this house deter anyone. We hope to be back to Union Pier!

Could benefit from some TLC inside and out. Train runs more often and later than what was listed. Safety railing should be installed on the deck and the furniture needs to be replaced to make it family friendly.

Short walk to beach. Spacious.

We have a family of 8, more than enough room, which was such a relief with almost 6 teenagers! Private beach access was the best part! Only a short walk to paradise. The house was very clean. The only con I have is that I wish they supplied more kitchen necessities and the train went by more times at night than was said in the post. But overall a great stay, would stay here again!

This property was excellent for our beach vacation. Access to the private beach was wonderful! The fenced in yard was perfect for our furry friends that joined us! The owner was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for a no frills vacation house

She addressed our concerns right away. We have a son who is disabled and family members who are older and had no idea getting to the semi private beach would be so difficult from her post. She has updated to include that. Overall our stay was good. We will be back.

The property was difficult to find as it was slightly hidden by trees and the gps didn’t recognize the address. Overall clean inside, Just hard to locate.

We had a great time at this property! Super cool access to the lake! We plan to book this property again in the future! This is not a fancy property but it is priced just how it should be! Do not be scared to book! This was the absolute best place I could imagine for our family!

We had a great time using the cabin as a home base as we explored the nearby dunes, beaches, bakeries and breweries. The semi-private beach was just a short walk away and we were able to enjoy a beautiful sunset and roast s'mores over a fire at night and cool off in the lake during the day. Communication was also a breeze and the owners responded promptly to both questions prior to arrival as well as on arrival day. The cabin is undergoing a few changes and updates, once finished this rental will be hard to beat. Thanks for such a great stay!

Very nice place with a very large great room. It provided everything we needed along with Lake Michigan semi private beach access!

The property itself was amazing because the house was very open and organized. The communication with the owner was very easy (just a quick phone call). A short walk down to the beach was very nice as well.

The house was super close to its private beach. We had no issue there; owner was super nice. We would stay there again.

This property is accomodates a larger group comfortably. Our group included 4 adults, a teen and a child. We enjoyed the spacious rooms, deck area and being near the beach:)

We were glad to find this property for a very busy 4th of July weekend. The property is a little rough looking on the outside but spacious and clean on the inside. Owners were very prompt in responding; gave a great tour of the grounds and access for the beach front.
