Location, good kitchen, everything worked. key lock allowed us to come and go. Communication with owners excellent especially as we were a last minute booking.

terrifying experience

Unfortunately I cannot say anything positive about this experience: I was left on the street in the beginning of my vacation and struggling to find new accommodation, stressed and deeply disappointed. Next steps: I am involving my legal advisors to proceed and find justice as Booking.com refused to reimburse the cost of rented apartment. Background: There was a leak of the water and as a consequence unbearable strong smell of humidity that was causing a headache and wet ceiling therefore i was obliged to find another hotel to sleep over and bear unexpected extra costs. Actions of property owners: property owners have been not collaborative and not understanding. No other solution was offered except staining over in humid , smelly apartment. Attached are all photos and communications with owners. please be informed that they have been having this issue for a month which is disrespectful and irresponsible towards tenants. Actions of Booking.com: No correct assistance was provided by booking com. No solution was offered.

We left the apartment tidy but ofcourse did not vacuum the entire apartment, it is not expected for a property booked on this website and that too just for 4 days. Husband of the owner was forcing us to vacuum the entire apartment and when we said no, he tried to man handle us (by pulling and tugging). He broke my bag. He also pushed my wife, to which I lost my cool and yelled. Me and my wife have traveled a lot and have booked several properties on Booking.com and AirBnb, so never expected such pathetic property owners on this platform. Booking.com properties includes cleaning fee and even if it doesn’t or if there is any argument or disagreement this is not the way a host can handle his guests. Just stay away from this property if you do not want to ruin your vacation in such magical place as Corsica. On my above review, the liar host left a comment, and given they have lied so much to save their mess, I wanted to clarify: 1. Yes we had asked for a late checkout as our flight back home was late, but we were not given one. Instead she asked us to leave by 10.30 am (checkout is 11am) and said we can leave the packed luggage behind. I have a whatsapp proof of this. 2. We did not agree to clean the apartment. These people expect you to vacuum and wash linens. Sorry no guest does that after 4 night stay. And if they expect such detailed cleaning, they should mention this upfront on house rules on Booking.com 3. Her husband kept calling us and called us back at the apartment. We saw our luggage was thrown out. He asked to vacuum the apartment and had kept linen out for us to wash. He said we need to Polish the apartment. To which we said no, and he got furious. After bearing this person for some mins, when I yelled at him, and some crowd gathered, only then the coward ran away. Ofcourse its upto others whether to book or not, and I don’t say that everyone will go through same experience, but they do not deserve good guests. There are many other good properties.
