Room was good

There was hair all over the bath and a big pile of someone's shaved pubic hair inside the bathroom was horrible

very dated, rooms tired. Rooms too hot and air con didn’t work properly. shower broken. breakfast average. overpriced for the standard of accommodation - didn’t seem to be of a 4-star standard sadly.

The staff were friendly, helpful and understanding. Checking in was seamless. Location was really good.

When you go through the main door you enter the hallway that is shown in the photos as white marble, nice and bright. However it is very dull and more of a cream and brown marble that is in much need of some elbow grease. Compared to the photos on booking.com the place is in much need of a clean. When going to our room at first you think oh this is great however when you actually start to look closely you can see that the place hadn't seen a duster in some time, the room required a hoover. The room felt like an oven, the air con/heating system wasn't working and the lady at reception tried to fix it from her end but it still didn't work. There was a fan in the room however all that did was spread the dust around and cause my husband to have an asthma attack The toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall and the shower cubicle was covered in cracks. The fixtures for the lamps beside the bed were loose. We went to open the one window in the room that was supposed to have a city view (it didn't) and you couldn't open it. The receptionist did try to help us however advised there was no possibility of a different room as they were fully booked Within twenty minutes of checking in, we had checked out and gotten a full refund. The staff never questioned this it was almost like they knew and understood our reasoning and couldn't argue it Overall the hotel is in desperate need of repair and a deep clean (from what we seen). Again I want to highlight the staff themselves were tremendous it's just a shame about the rest of it.

The bathroom in our room was dirty, shower hadn’t been cleaned there was mould on it and also in the bottom lower left corner. The Beds where uncomfortable and only received 2 pillows for a double bed they where tiny, view out of the building was a literal construction sight, no balcony/terrace as stated in the room description, took a short walk to the actual “terrace” and it was dirty, cigarettes everywhere and it stunk! not kept clean in the slightest. No plug sockets beside the beds so had to walk to the other side of the room to grab my phone ect. room was freezing and heating did not work.

Not a lot

When we first arrived, we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned yet, and the man at reception did apologise and said he would go check another room while we waited in reception. He came back and gave us another room. The second room appeared to be ready but on checking, the glasses were all dirty, the shower head was black with biofilm, there something sprayed up one of the walls, one of the tables hadn't been wiped down and the coffee cups hadn't been cleaned properly. We decided to leave the hotel and thankfully found another one. There was another woman at reception who did apologise, and I've since had an email apologising from the general manager, offering a discounted stay, should i choose to return (which i won't). But I'm still really disappointed in this '4 star hotel'. All I could think was that if they hadn't cleaned the obvious, what else are they not cleaning.

Staff are amazing, very handy location. Nice modern style.

The room was supposed to be a superior double the curtain was hanging off window carpet full of stains had a musty smell throughout the stay I had to constantly spray perfume the toilet pan was dirty not been cleaned bathroom walls stained breakfast not great poor choice didn’t go back on second day

Clean, modern, functional.

No issues

It was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfy and homey and very clean.

Only down side was there was no parking or discounted parking for one of the car parks, however this was something the manager said they were working on as they have just recently taken the place over so was not a major issue for us. Local car park was expensive but not overly expensive.

Had to be allocated room 3 tines as first 2 had not been cleaned. No servicing of rooms had to ask for clean towels

Friendly staff on check in

My partner and I didn’t get much sleep during our stay as the room was way to hot, the air on kept switching itself off and there was a window that could be opened in the room.

Great hotel in the perfect location

Poor air conditioning (turned on for a maximum of 2minutes each time), inoperable windows and a very hot day made for a rather sticky and uncomfortable nights stay

The room was lovely and clean and the location is perfect

Breakfast was not good. No cooked breakfast but even the selection for continental was poor for a 4 star hotel.

There weren’t a lot of staff in the hotel. The hotel felt generally run down.
