BBQ was out of propane and pool was definitely too hot unless ur looking for a Jacuzzi 😜.
But overall a very nice place to stay and enjoy Bastrop

I enjoyed the cloaenes of the walking trails.
The permission to bring pups was great.
I wish I would have had instructions to turn off the pool filter to clean out the leaf trap.

We really enjoyed the property, especially the cowboy pool and the large kids room. The kids loved it.

This was a perfect place for us! Great location! Very considerate host! The house was very clean, attractive, and comfortable. The spacious backyard gave our dog plenty of room to get some exercise and explore. Personally, I enjoyed relaxing on the back deck. We had all that we needed for the time that we were there.

Your home is beautiful and very comfortable. I was on a trip with my four grandchildren and we all found space to relax and enjoy each other's company. I might suggest adding a few extra basic spices to your cabinet. Otherwise everything was great!

This was last minute booking, we lost power during the Houston storm on 5/16/24. This was the perfect place to wait out the no power issue. Nice kitchen, with everything handy. Nice deck to sit on, close to the parks. We will be back.

We had a 5 day get away to visit a friend who lives in Bastrop...right around the corner from this property. The property was beautiful and so well equipped. We had a great visit and loved the property.

I was pleasantly surprised by this property! Although I was staying by myself for just an overnight in the area, I can see how much care and thought the property owners put into making all visitors feel welcome. The decor is very beautiful. Great coffee bar and lots of games for families with children. This would make for a great family get away for anyone wanting to visit Lake Bastrop. They even had white noise machines for an added touch of comfort for a wonderful nights sleep.

Love this place. Wish we had a few more days. I will for sure recommend to friends & family travelling to the area. The house is perfect for spreading out and love that it's pet friendly.

This was the perfect place for us. It had everything we needed, an amazing view, and it is super clean and comfortable. It was also close to everything you’d want to do there. We had an event at the convention center and it was so close but still so private.

How was great for us but we have a few comments
The front door window and play room door need some cover or blinds. Felt strange being so open to the front and the neighbor on the side
The back porch really needed some tables and chairs
Possibly a TV in the main for movies with the kids
The grill was out of gas and pretty dirty
The laundry room was fantastic
The beds were comfortable and the room had great decorations and a home feel
The fire pit and backyard with the lights were awesome
Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed
The fridge was small but worked well for our quick trip
Overall we had a great time and would stay there again for our next trip

Overall my stay was superb. I will break it down to pros and cons.
Pros: beautiful nice size back yard. Bon fire was nice. The home itself was clean, well decorated and suited all our needs. It was easy to get into the house and lock up. I also loved that the rules for when we left were more than reasonable. I’ve stayed at places that have a million rules that ruined the fun. This place had normal rules and the clean up was easy.
Cons: tiny refrigerator so not a lot of storage for that if you are staying awhile and cooking meals. No backyard fence. The yard was huge but I brought my dogs who kept running off and I couldn’t relax because I had to watch them. They being said… I was aware of this when booking so that’s on me.
I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you!!! We shall be back.

My husband and I stayed a couple of nights while in the area shopping Round Top. The home was lovely, on a pretty piece of quiet and peaceful property. The property manager was very nice and helpful with ‘check-in’. I highly recommend this rental.

We had a great time here. We are a family of five with kids ranging 3-8. The house was perfect. We didn’t even use one of the beds so it could easily fit 2-3 more people. The backyard is super relaxing and there are plenty of activities nearby.

We had the best time at this property! We had a cousin getting married in Bastrop and didn't feel like making the trek down from the Pflugerville area on the wedding day with young kids. We ended up making a weekend out of it and booked with another cousin and her kids. Overall we had 4 adults and 4 kids. This house was really perfect for us. Our older boys (7yo) had a blast playing in the "boys room". It was so nice to have a VRBO truly think about and cater to families with kids. The toys, the video games, the foosball table....everything was a hit with the kids ranging in age from 3 to 7. They explored in the woods, played on the hammocks, etc. We dropped by the lake on the way out. Our boys are already asking when we can go back. I also didn't realize how charming Bastrop is. Great house with great hosts who truly thought of everything. Loved it <3

Easy checkin and checkout. Great location - close to downtown, but feels secluded and relaxing in the forest. Lots of natural light. Very clean and spotless. Nicely appointed amenities for guests. Loved the binder with instructions and local recommendations. Decor was lovely as well as functional. Would definitely stay here again!

I found Camp South Shore on VRBO while searching for a place to stay during the US Grand Prix. What a great find. The house provided a perfect retreat from the hot and hectic days at the races. Beautiful tall pines shaded the property and we found it very relaxing to unwind from the day. We enjoyed local eats and drinks in Bastrop and enjoyed a few hikes in the park before we left. The house was clean, spacious and Sara was a great host.

We had a really relaxing time spent with our adult children. Especially loved the hammocks and backyard. Really cute house with lovely decor and plenty of space for us all. Would recommend whole heartedly.

Property was just as decribed! Wonderful area and was perfect for our golf trip. Also very close to Austin for day trips. Host was very attentive to messages and made sure we had all information needed for our stay. Definitely recommend and will stay here again if possible

This beautiful and comfortable house surrounded by pine trees provides a wonderful escape from busy city vibe but is still very conveniently located to any thing you might want or need. So peaceful and relaxing. Plus, the Cowboy pool provided an easy way to stay cool during the extremely hot weather. Would love to visit again one day!

This property was perfect for my family and friends. We brought out kids and they really enjoyed the inside and outside of the house. The game room got a ton of use, as well as the fire pit and stock tank pool. The house was very clean with everything needed for our young kids. We would love to stay here again!

Great location to parks and City of Bastrop. Lovely house and the pool is great for hot summer days! Only comment would be to get back deck feet friendly as it has a lot of screws backing out otherwise the place is a win!

Just what we needed! weekend getaway with my brother and sister-in- law. Wonderful in every way! House cheerful,perfect layout with everything! Pool was so fun!
My husband and I used to work at a hospitalin the area 30 years ago was good to see the Pines again and all the growth!

As parents of two children, we loved both the location and the toys and activities for the children and adults. Wish we could have stayed longer to fire up the fire pit but overall a good stay.

Really enjoyed our stay! Spend time visiting my grandson and family. The game room/ play room was awesome! House was yvety kid friendly. My daughter loved the lay out,color scheme and decor. The rain made it tough to enjoy the out door immunities, but the coziness of the home made up for it! Have marked as one of my favorites in the area. Will definitely use/ stay again.

My friends and I came for a girls weekend and had a great time. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. I had a couple questions for the owner prior to our visit and they were all answered promptly. Very close to downtown Bastrop and the South Shore park but it felt cozy and private, plus we enjoyed the stock tank pool and fire circle. One thing to note (because we didn't realize before we arrived), there are two bathrooms, but to get to one of them you have to go through the main bedroom - so that person has to be willing let others through their room OR all other occupants of the house are sharing one bathroom. This wasn't a problem for our group, but I thought it was worth a mention.

My family and I stayed for a long weekend. The house was done well with plenty of games for my kids. The lake was close and convenient to go fish. I would recommend this to a family.
