Perfect location

The location of this building is unbeatable- right on the water, with a protected ocean swimming area in the fishpond, beautiful sandy beaches to walk in both directions, and a lovely pool. The grounds are immaculate- major props to the grounds keepers. Other visitors and residents were generally friendly. Loved the restaurant on site- great food. Also appreciated the outdoor rinsing facilities for after the beach, and the grilling area near the pool. For unit 526: Vacasa managed the rental when we booked (Aug 2022), so I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a strong local host experience. We followed the instructions regarding parking and never had any issues. The view from the unit is great and we spent lots of time on the balcony. It's closer to the road based on the configuration of the building, so there is significant traffic noise. We liked to keep the door/window open for the breeze, but closed it for the noise when it got bad. When we did, the AC was more than sufficient for the unit. The unit was very well equipped with beach supplies- highly appreciated. The unit is right next to a stairwell, but not very close to an elevator.

This is specific to unit 526: the living area furniture was horrible. Both the leather loveseat and the rattan one were so uncomfortable. The beds were good, but the linens and pillows were definitely on the lower quality end. The kitchen was equipped with a very mish-mash of things. Enough to be serviceable, but only after some search and compromise. The unit was clean when we arrived, but could do for a deep scrubbing or maybe just a paint refresh, especially in the bathrooms. We never got access to the roof-top deck.

Great ocean front view, lots of room, liked that it had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, nice kitchen and liked having washer and dryer in the unit. Towels were new but no bath mat. Liked that they provided laundry soap, dish soap, and shower amenities.

Decor in desperate need of upgrade. Sofas we're sooo unconfortable old and in shabby condition. Sliding doors were hard to open and close, paint peeling in bathroom, except for the kitchen this unit is old and tired with poor decor. Plates and cups in the kitchen don't even match. Overall everything was tacky, old and worn out. You can tell that the owners don't make an effort to upkeep or make this place nice. It's functional but it's like staying at your old grandma's house. The pictures advertised on booking.com's website was for a different much nicer unit. I feel like I got a bait and switch. Will never trust booking.com or Vacasa again.

I liked the view of 422 and the beds and sofa we’re comfortable.

There were ants in the kitchen.

The greeting snack bag was a pleasant surprise.

Convenient location for exploring Maui.

Room run down (needs paint and a good cleaning) and the furniture had tears and one “couch” was a rattan patio setee- dirty and uncomfortable In the common areas outside- more lounge chairs needed on grassy areas for sunning options other than the pool.

The location was great.

I would have loved a regular coffee maker.
