House had a lot of great features like pool table, hot tub, which made for a very enjoyable stay. Perhaps a little on the expensive side, but it is a big house.

Such a great place. 5 of us stayed for a long weekend. Lots of rooms for all of us, great instructions, binder full of information, just an overall super experience!

Great place for adults or families with teenage children. Easy drive to the beach. Lots of wineries close by. Close to shopping mall with grocery store and liquor store

The place is very nice. The professionally staged pictures of the place pretty much represent what you get. The pool table was fun to use once you figure out the no-bounce cushions. Our adult kids still had fun challenging each other at pool, and the table tennis was also appreciated and well used. The kitchen has a lot of utensils and there was coffee in two forms; ground for drip and Keurig, which was nice. There are a lot of spice blends to use which you often don’t get. The 3 upstairs beds are comfy and large. You will need to bring your own shower soap and shampoo tho. We really enjoyed the large deck but it was too hot to use the hot tub. Communication was pretty good but my last message about a discovered hornets nest in the railing going up the stairs and lack of TV service (Netflix etc.) took several days for a reply, the reply coming about 48 hours after I sent the message. The TVs were not connected to any service that we could figure out. We were supposed to be able to use our own Netflix account. There were no instructions provided on how to do that. According to the day late reply, you need to connect a device to the HDMI port. You might want to bring your own cable if you want a streaming service on a TV.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Balsam house in Penticton. The house had everything we wanted for our week in Penticton. If we return we would certainly look at renting this property again.

Nice beautiful house with fantastic amenities. It is a bit away from downtown area, but everything else was 5 stars!

This spacious and comfortable home complete with pool table and hot tub made for a fun family vacation. Apex ski resort is a 35-40mins drive away and was refreshingly crowd-free compared to other BC ski resorts we’ve visited. We enjoyed views of the surrounding mountains from the living room and bedroom windows. The house is set in a nice, quiet neighbourhood not far from the amenities of downtown Penticton. The lighting in the house could use some upgrading as the ceiling pot lights were rather dim and several would flicker out unexpectedly making some rooms quite dim at night. That said, the owners were very responsive and attentive in mitigating small issues such as this and brought us a floor lamp during our stay. The hot tub was very well maintained/ph-balanced and worked well. Would recommend the dishware (e.g. plates, bowls etc) be expanded a bit so that the dishwasher need not be run after every meal. Overall, we were very happy with the rental and would use it again.

The home is beautiful. Pool table and hot tub were a bonus. Barry, the owner, responded immediately to minor issues (light bulbs) and he was very personable. We would highly recommend!

This property had so many great features for our family. My son is an avid hockey player and played in the garage on the hockey set up anytime we were at the house. My daughter plays piano so she was thrilled that there was a piano for her. My husband and I played countless games of pool and loved sitting on the patio with morning coffee and in the evening with a glass of wine. It’s just a 5 minute drive to Skaha beach and there are so many restaurants and stores within just a few minute drive as well.

Great property in a quiet area that was perfect to relax at after a day of hockey drills. Played pool, watched movies, relieved sore muscles in the hot tub. Very close to downtown Penticton and easy drive to the wineries, without the congestion or noise around the hotels

It was a nice place to come chill and relax. With lots to keep the family entertained and yet it was close to beaches and downtown.

We had such a great vacation and this property was the perfect fit! It is in a great central location to anywhere we wanted to go, had lots of space and the hot tub was a bonus (actually the hockey area in the garage was also pretty awesome)!

The house was larger than we expected. Lots of room for everyone to have their own space. My teens enjoyed all the entertainment, especially the pool and foosball tables. The kitchen could use more dishes and cutlery. We had to hand wash dishes more than once because we ran out before the dishwasher was full enough to run.

We loved this property. It is extremely clean, and a huge house! The photos reflect the property accurately. We enjoyed the hot tub daily, as well as many trips into town, and vineyards. The Schumachers are good hosts. They responded to all my questions quickly! I would return to this property will family and friends. Thank you!

This house is so much bigger than the pictures make it look. It was ample room for the 3 couples that stayed for the weekend. The communication with the host was very easy and there were no hiccups at all. There is a gym, ping-pong, hockey area set up in the garage, pool, foosball, a couple of versions of working old school Nintendo set ups. It was a great place to play games and hot tub after touring the wineries and breweries in the area. Penticton is turning into a foodie haven! Only warning is the driveway is very steep and we all had front bumpers connect with the road. Approach the driveway at an angle. Would 10/10 stay here again.

Arriving at this beautiful home literally took our breath away. Not only was it spacious and full of amenities but it was spotlessly clean as well. This extraordinary home made our stay in Penticton one we will never forget.

Great spot for our family of get together. Nice spacious, well equipped home with fun amenities like hot tub. Large kitchen perfect for family meals. Close to everything we wanted, mountain bike trails, vineyards etc.

We loved our time at the house! We used the hot tub and the gym downstairs. The views from the deck were lovely. The house was big enough that we all had lots of space to spread out and relax. The hosts were super responsive and super friendly! Thanks for everything! One tiny thing we noticed is that the driveway is pretty steep so if your car rides low just take it extra slowly.

This place has something for everyone! We loved the hot tub and trails behind the house. The hosts were very attentive and easy to reach. We would happily return.

The house worked out very well for our 3 couples week away to do some wine touring. We travelled both to the south district and Naramata bench so the location was very good. The house worked out well. We were lacking a few kitchen items initially but Crystal was very prompt in responding and dropping what we needed. The one thing we would say is we would've prefferred the third bedroom having a queen bed vs the double. It's fine for kids but much more appealing to adults to share a queen. The hot tub is a great perk!

We came to Penticton for a long weekend stay with our adult children and their partners. The Balsam House was an excellent base for our visit to the area.

Wow! This property was epic, the pictures don't do justice. We were a family of 5 (3 teenagers) and we had a lot of extra room. It was immaculate, very comfortable beds, functional house layout with all the extras including outdoor hottub with mountain view and perfect gym in the basement, big kitchen with tons of storage and, and great hiking trails a couple blocks away. The garage has an impressive hockey training area with all the gear imaginable and kids spent hours playing pool. Owners great to deal with, quick responses and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Everything about our three night stay here was amazing. The home is enormous - kitchen had everything we could need and more, the patio and bbq were great - hot tub, pool table, ping pong table, gym... Crystal the host was amazingly responsive and attentive both before our stay (to ask if she could customize any recommendations for us) and at the time of check in, when she and her husband messaged us to make sure we had got in okay. Penticton is super centrally located for all Okanagan activities and the home itself is in a quiet neighbourhood, but also a bit secluded. Highly recommend!
