Our house outside Egg Harbor was a lovely quiet place to spend our time in beautiful Door County. Away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to explore the attractions of Door County.

Did like: wonderful for family getaway. very quiet and peaceful. Didn't like: We had camp fire and we got lot of kids running around. Probably we can help few more lights probably till the lake shore so that we can enjoy the night time with lights on :)

Very nice would definitely rent again

Our reservation was for several days during the week at the end of August. The property is secluded from the road, but as you approach, you appreciate the landscaping and roomy driveway in front of the house. Inside is warm and inviting - definitely like someone lives there and enjoys it. There's quite a selection of games, as well as ping pong in the garage and some kayaks to use, all of which, we took advantage. It would have been nice to take a bike ride, but time went too fast. The kitchen was well stocked with any implement we needed for food preparation. Our favorite amenity was the wooden deck by the water. We sat and read as well as watched boats go by, the kids swim, storm clouds roll in, and the sun set. We only left for groceries, and to take part in a fish boil. Our time was up too soon.

If it weren’t for the fact that we paid over $1,000 per night for this rental then we probably would have considered a 4 star review, but at that price point we definitely expected more. The beach is all large stones that are hard to walk on and there is a layer of algae along the entire waterfront that is at least a foot deep. There are large black spiders everywhere on the beach and the algae continues into the water. Definitely bring water shoes for both kids and adults if you are considering going in. All of the other neighboring properties have docks and this one really should have one as well. There were also a lot of more minor issues that were nonetheless disappointing and did not meet expectations (dirty dishes in dishwasher upon arrival, no wash clothes or paper towels, no broom, bad AC flow to the upstairs, broken tile at the main entrance, lack of drapes on the upstairs balcony door, etc.). All that being said, the water views are fantastic, we really enjoyed the fire pit, it is a spacious location and good for large groups, and it is close by to a lot of great spots (Egg Harbor beach is only 10 min away and is all sand and completely algae free plus it has a small playground for kids).

Overall the house was okay for our use. There was ample amount of beds and enough bathrooms for 10 ladies. Be aware of the holding tank situation - we were not aware of it and we kind of worried about that the entire weekend. The cleanliness of the place was okay. We found garbage when we arrived. We wish there was a broom in addition to the vacuum for clean up. We were not able to use the living room TV because we could not hook it up to the wireless and there were no directions. The water view was beautiful but the seaweeds and spiders didn't allow us to fully enjoy it. There were cow webs all around the outdoor seating area and backyard also. This place does provide bicycles, kayaks, and paddle boards for use, but we did not use them. You definitely need water shoes for this place!

Our family (adults and kids) very much enjoyed our stay at Shamrock Bay. It was nice being away from the hustle and bustle of the main towns, which were just a short drive away. We loved the yard games, roasting marshmallows, and watching the sunsets. Communication was stellar.

This home is so much better than the photos even show. The yard and access to the water is an absolute dream. This place is perfect for large groups.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Shamrock Bay! The house was updated and clean and the view was amazing! The location was great as it was a short scenic drive to most destinations. We really appreciated all of the extras (fire pit, grill, kayaks, ping pong table, board games, etc.). We will definitely be using this rental again!

This property was wonderful. It was great to wake up the beautiful view of bay every morning. The home had everything we needed with very comfy beds. Clean and so cutely decorated made friends weekend special. Within 20 minutes of so many fun things to do. Would love to rent again.

Our family of 8 adults had a wonderful vacation at Shamrock Bay. With direct water access, we were able to enjoy kayaking, relaxing in the beach chairs, and watching the beautiful sunsets. The wooded area surrounding the property made it feel like our own private getaway. Many Door County destinations were just a short drive away. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking and baking dishes and utensils. The two dining tables, the two living areas, the four large bedrooms and the closets provided us plenty of room. The owner, Peggy, was gracious , friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Shamrock Bay!

Very nice property! Sunsets were amazing! Hi However, had problems opening front door. There was no propane for gas grill and no lighter fluid for charcoal grill.

Comfortable, well kept home in a prime waterfront location. The sunsets were incredible!! This home has lots of spaces for hanging out and relaxing. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook there and it was not far to lovely restaurants, shopping, and sight seeing. 4 bedrooms made it great for our girlfriends weekend. Would love to visit again!

We enjoyed this spacious clean home! We kayaked on Green bay using the kayaks that were available to us as advertised.The check in was extremely easy.The best part was the very comfortable and picturesque backyard/deck overlooking the bay!

This home is so beautiful. It has every single amenity and is cozy and comfortable. Everything from the linens to the dishes are 5 star! The outdoor spaces are great. Just open the back door and the lake is lapping against the shore, stars are shining, fire pit is crackling. The quiet street and privacy make for a perfect getaway from it all. I plan to book this vacation rental place again and again.
