The house was in the perfect location for beach access and all of the beach town amenities. It was clean and had everything needed for a great vacation. The owners were helpful and responsive. We want to come back next summer again!

We stayed with our three young kids and their grandparents- this was a wonderfully laid out home, great location, and wonderful views. Easy beach access and quiet culdesac street.

Nice location and just what we needed for our short getaway!

We had a great time staying in Emerald Isle! Host was accommodating to our needs and easy to work with. Getting to and from the beach was super easy with the wooded boardwalk, and we loved watching the super moon from the top deck.

The house was fine until we left. To begin with the house has many stains on the carpets and furniture and when we arrived there was no toilet paper that we could find, nor paper towels or kitchen garbage bags. That was all fine because we are a family of 6 and a lived in house is what we expected. When we left we left a little messy. We didn’t vacuum and left some dishes in the sink and the rest were washing in the dishwasher. The dishwasher was full when we arrived so we didn’t even think about it. I think we also may have left some food in the fridge. We just assumed that there is an implicit cleaning fee in the cost as clearly after a week a house needs to be cleaned. The owner was not satisfied and harassed us with numerous texts telling him she could not believe how we destroyed her house. No one has ever spoken to us like this and we have stayed in numerous rentals. It is ludicrous to think that that house can be restored to a pristine condition given the shape it is in and the lack of supplies provided. All we wanted was to have nice vacation. We had a great vacation but the harassment afterward was not worth it and we will not stay there again. The view is very nice though! Mike.

We had an amazing week! This property is in an amazing location, the views were stunning and it has easy access to the beach right across the street. The house itself is beautifully decorated and appointed, so comfortable to share family time in when we needed a break from the sun. We were so lucky to find this house and hope to return. Thank you for sharing your beach house with us our family made a lot of special memories there.

We have always admired this house from the oceanfront rentals we’ve had and wow, this house did not disappoint! Beautifully decorated, perfect bedroom setups and a bonus room for the kids to play with a separate bathroom was beyond amazing. My husband usually cooks one night during the week for his large family staying in rentals across the street and there was plenty of seating for everyone and he cooked all day long. The rental had all the dishes and pans he needed for a seafood and dessert feast! I loved the soaking tub with an ocean view for quiet time after a long day at the beach. We have been staying on this culdesac street for 15 years and the traffic is minimal, perfect for our young children. We rinsed off after the beach before heading into the house and there were extra blankets and pillows as needed. Checkin and communication with the owner was great and easy. We’ve already asked to stay again next year and if we aren't able to go, other family members are raising their hands second. Oh, did I mention the elevator was greatly appreciated by our visiting elderly family members for dinner. Also helped for loading and unloading our bags!

We enjoyed our stay in this lively property very much. Plenty of room and great location.

Our family of 7 plus one grandchild really enjoyed this home. It had plenty of space for all of us and location was an easy walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again and the owners were very easy to communicate with.

My family had a great time at the property. The elevator was a great bonus, as I was almost 9 months pregnant and another guest had a knee replacement. Being right across from the boardwalk to the beach was also wonderful - never had too far to walk! I don’t think the listing mentioned it, but it also has a very nice outdoor shower as well. Everyone seemed to be very comfortable in their rooms/beds. I really appreciated that the bedrooms had real blinds on the windows (some places I’ve stayed only have had thin curtains). Overall a very lovely home to spend a week at!

We enjoyed our stay at Pelican Post. The house was very comfortable and had a great view of the water. Our only gripe is that the elevator malfunctioned on Thursday and couldn't be repaired during our stay. So we had some climbing to do which was an annoying but manageable inconvenience.

This home was a perfect spot for our family to all gather together, yet have space when we needed it!! It was super close to the beach and shops/stores close to town. We would definitely recommend this home for your family get away!!

We had an absolutely lovely vacation. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The short walk to the beach was great for us. My son has difficulty walking, so this was not too far to walk and allowed for a quick run back if we forgot something. The house was the perfect size for our family of 7 people. We are already trying to figure out a week for next summer. It was wonderful!

We LOVED staying at this home in Emerald Isle! Our first time to EI & it is SO much better, quieter, slower, less traffic than OBX! Home was VERY clean, very organized & LOTS of extra room with the first floor full bathroom & TV room with sectional seating + table & chairs + game selection! Not your "ordinary" basement space! LOVED having an elevator, 2 separate A/C units & enough comfy seating for everyone in front of the TV & the dining room table. Would definitely book again!

We loved our annual pilgrimage to EI and this year didn't disappoint. Wonderful home with an excellent location. Beach access directly across from the driveway made it feel as good as being oceanfront from much less the cost. House was equipped with everything you'd hope. One suggestion for the owner would be to look to install a garbage disposal in the kitchen. Having the second sink was a nice feature, but having the disposal would have been welcomed. Will look to rent this house again in the future!

Communication with the owner was excellent. We are serving overseas so we were literally traveling from the other side of the world literally to get there so was a little anxious to ensure there were no issues on arrival, and everything went extremely smooth and the communication was excellent. The only hiccup was that it is a duplex (which we obviously knew)and a few days in the owners of the other half began demolition of that side of the duplex so there was quite a bit of noise. We contacted the owners and they told us the construction was not scheduled to start until the following week. They assured us the construction should end at 3:00 each day and it did. It also did not start early in the morning so we were not woken up. It was really only an issue on the rainy days when we were inside and it was quite loud, but crews kept the common areas extremely clean and if it wasn't for the banging we would not have known they were thee. The inside of this duplex is even prettier in person and it actually feels like a "home" not a rental. For example, the mattresses were actually comfortable and not the rock hard ones you usually encounter in rentals. It was decorated and furnished perfectly and again like a home not a rental. The kitchen also had everything we needed. As another bonus the kept a few beach chairs and shovels in the outside closets for guests to borrow (there were even fishing poles and a boogie board). We gently used the chairs and shovels and returned them (we might have even donated a shovel or two from our own collection.)The house and location are excellent for the elderly, We had two not very mobile grandmothers with us (recovering from hip replacement surgery) and the elevator was a godsend, plus the beach access is right across the street and there are no stairs! Our stay was lovely and we would love to return sometime. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We really enjoyed our week! House was very clean and decorated very nice. We had everything w needed and loved that the linens where included. Extremely short walk to the beach and great ocean view. The elevator was very helpful unpacking and packing up. Loved the outdoor patio space. The keyless entry was fanatic with having a group of people: Give this a 10/10

Excellent location. Relaxing. Easy beach access. Great views. Couldn’t have asked for a better house to spend the week and Father’s Day. Highly recommended
