Location was a plus, right on the beach with lots of parking space. Easy to access and had the number of baths and bedrooms we needed for our family. The staff was helpful and it was easy to check in and out.

Everything you need is there. Stocked kitchen, comfy furniture and front and rear porches for relaxing. Definitely recommend. Hope to come back next year!

The location and layout of the house was perfect. House was as advertised. It rained the first day and a half while we were there, so the covered deck in back and screened in porch in front came in handy. We enjoyed walking up and down the beach, collecting shells and watching the dolphins play. While we were not traveling with our dogs this time, Vacasa was very accomodating when my brother came down from Charlotte with his two pups for the night. Overall great trip and would not hesitate to book again. Two things to note for travelers, the beach is dog friendly (which we loved) but not everyone followed the rules about keeping their dogs on a leash. We had several random dogs approach us to say hi. The road in and out of Edisto beach can get backed up with traffic, while Charleston is only 48 miles away it took more than an hour and a half to get there.

Can’t beat the location of the cottage on the beach. Listening to waves, access to beach walks and just chilling is wonderful.

It was the perfect weekend. The house was just what we were hoping for and more. The location was great, the weather was great, and the sunrises were breathtaking. We will definitely be back to stay in this sweet house next year.

This was a lovely location, a somewhat dated home but very cozy and personable. Unbeatable views, the beach is literally at your door. I would definitely seek out this location again and refer it to others! Really nice experience.

We had originally booked Corrigan. However, because it had sustained some damage from the nor’easter, Vacasa put us up in Sunrise, Sunset. This was a larger and more updated beach house. It had 2 more bedrooms a larger open floor plan, and a king sized bed with and ocean view. It was very nice. The only challenge was in the bathrooms… the toilets almost feel like afterthoughts and are in tiny cubby spaces. However, this did not pose any major inconvenience. Overall we were very pleased and thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

Can’t beat the location and the view. The house is aging, but it was cute and clean (with exception of being a little dusty, for those with allergies). The main thing to be careful about is for anyone who might be susceptible to falling. Going from the house to the beach is a very steep step down to the sand, wide enough for only one foot. My grandma stayed with us and fell there trying to get to the beach. She was ok, but it was concerning. For that reason alone, we probably won’t rent here again. But if it were just me, my husband and my son, we would consider it.

The house had a great layout for two families to have their own space. House is right on the beach. I would recommend it!

Liked the house set up. Amount of beach depending on tide needs to be divulged in write up. We were lucky the tides were in our side time wise. Also, the big step down is impossible for older folks who had to walk down in order to get in beach. A boardwalk/steps would be great right there. Need new set of knives, glassware (not enough, random), new dining room chairs and new/more rockers on back porch. And I think all beach house lack blackout shades. Place was very clean. Like outdoor shower area.

The house was great, shabby chic beachy, great location!
A bit disappointed in the management company, cleanliness was not up to the usual standards, amenities such as paper towels, kleenex , or any kitchen cleaner was sparse or non existent.
I realize everyone is cost conscious these days and short handed but small gestures go a long way in customer satisfaction.
There was also no answer after normal business hours

Very dirty living room furniture and rug, bedbug stains on old worn mattresses, shabby & uncomfortable outdoor furniture in poor condition, charcoal grill missing parts, extremely rusty & empty propane tank, gate latch falling off.

We stayed in this home for a week. Great location on the beach with about 40 yds of beach during low tide and maybe 15 yards of beach at high tide. The home itself was built in 1970 and appears to be a rental only for quite some time now. Unfortunately it needs a lot updates and upgrades. The sinks and showers all backed up with water when in use. The kitchen sink had no garbage disposal and the fridge had no ice maker. The thermostat isn’t allowed to go below 72 degrees which in April with windows and doors open wasn’t bad. I couldn’t imagine staying there after April, too hot! Probably won’t repeat, but had a good time on the beach.

The property was great and enjoyed being close to the beach. Only issue was the hot water heater leaked and needed to be fixed which took all day Sunday. Otherwise we had a great time…

Right on the beach, while we were here it seemed like a private 3 mile Long Beach. We loved it, our puppy loved chasing the bird. The house is ok, had everything we needed.

The house was clean and well kept. Great spot for us right on beach with 4 young kids and 5 Adults. Close to food Lion and walkable to shops and pier.

Literally steps to the beach! Great deck to enjoy the sunrise with some coffee. Comfortable beds, pet friendly. The house is a bit dated but very functional nonetheless. We stayed cozy despite the freezing temps over the Christmas holiday, we enjoyed our stay. Thanks!!

This was our third stay at Sunrise-Sunset. Love the location and the space. We really enjoy visiting Edisto in the winter and off seasons. It's slow and quiet, but still has amazing outdoor opportunities.

Absolutely heavenly home with a perfect location. We spent so much time on the porch watching the waves and stars and walked so much on the beach. We left the bedroom windows cracked at night yo hear the waves then too. We will definitely return next year.

Clean and comfy. Had everything we needed. The location couldn’t be better. Relaxed low key vibe on the entire island.
Could use a little TLC but no big issues. Dog friendly. Wonderful covered deck to watch the sunrise and the moon crest. See the dolphins from the deck. Already looking forward to next visit

This was our first time to Edisto Island but it will not be our last. It is a great place to vacation. There is not a lot to do other than enjoy the beach and the people you are with - but that is what we loved the most! This house was perfectly located and we loved the screened porch and the back deck overlooking the ocean. It definitely met our needs. We hope to stay there again.

This homes sole purpose is to focus your attention on the beauty of the ocean and the beach that it sits upon. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found the right spot to enjoy a beach getaway and felt we could almost reach out and touch the ocean, it sits so close to the beach, especially during high tide. The sand dune was the only division between the house and the water. There was plenty of space to relax and enjoy the comforts of the home, with a large indoor living area and the deck on the ocean side of the home

Beautiful Sunrises and Sunsets - lovely home that we enjoyed with our family! Very close to the water which was great for small children going back and forth to potty, snacks, rest, etc.

This is our our second time renting this home. The large covered back porch really sells this place. We enjoy the beach and travel with littles and dogs, so it suits us just fine. The other selling point is the ample parking. We had room to park our boat trailer and cars.

Great place to hang out with our adult sons. Plenty of space to hang out on the couches to watch t.v. Loved the laid back atmosphere of the island.

Charming cottage
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunrise Sunset beach front cottage. The house has that old Edisto cottage charm and was very comfortable. We also appreciated that it is dog friendly and the latching gate on the deck was a huge plus. Our only complaint was the short supply of large cooking pots but we made do with what was there.

Excellent Location and Pet Friendly!
Great location, dogs loved it and clean. The kitchen and bathroom need some repair and upgrades. Dining room furniture was very uncomfortable, but the living room and bedrooms were good. Loved Edisto and the location overall!!

Disappointing
My family and I have rented this house once or twice a year for YEARS, but I doubt we will again. The rental is now being handled by a big corporation, Vacasa (previously it was rented through a small, family owned business), and service has suffered! What is more, the price has almost doubled. The house needs some attention: some bedroom windows can’t lock, refrigerator door and microwave door broken. Not adequate place settings for 8. Good luck finding a lid to match a pot. What’s great about the house is that it is clean and dog friendly.

Great beach house!
This house was perfect for our 3 families. It's not new and fancy, but that's not really important to us. It felt clean, comfortable, and most importantly, it's on the beach!! We had never done beachfront before, but we'll never go back now. It was so nice to be able to easily go back and forth between the house and the beach. We loved sitting out on the porch and watching the waves break and the kids play in the sand. It really was just what we all needed!

Sunrise Sunset Vacation
Our first trip to Edisto and the location and house were perfect for us and our two dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed our week. The sunrise views from the porch were amazing. We will definitely be back.
