The house was adorable on a beautiful lake! Sunsets were incredible with peaceful nights next to fire pit making s’mores. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return!!

Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. TV sets easy to use. Lots of chairs for outside seating. Boat dock on lake a few steps from the house. Four kayaks in the garage. Stacked firewood for firepit in back yard. Property is very well maintained and spotlessly clean.

We had the best time at this beautiful property. All of the kids had a blast playing in the water and just hanging out in the home. The home was clean and beautiful. The sunsets were gorgeous. I hope we can come back some day. I don’t know how another place will top this one.

The property and owners are top notch!! Anja accommodated our needs for a great extended weekend. House was as described very clean and updated. Location was amazing and short drives to area towns. This home was such a pleasant and lovely retreat. Nestled in the woods, on the south end of Torch lake just a few steps to dock & swimming, kayaking or boating. The home is well stocked, extremely clean & beautifully decorated. The owners are nearby & offer pontoon rental for a very reasonable cost. I would recommend this property to anyone Looking for a lovely getaway

We had a great experience at this unit. Very clean and spacious with great, clean bathrooms with plenty of towels, TP, and linens and a well-appointed kitchen with everything you need to feel like you are cooking at home, yet on the water with fantastic nightly sunsets. We brought wood for the fire pit, but were surprised to find a hearty stack of seasoned and split hardwood. The Adirondack chairs were plentiful, weighty and sturdy, no plastic chairs at this place. Also we found the mooring bouy for our boat to be well-located and secure, which is important on Torch Lake. Finally, the owners, who reside next door, were available if you needed something—anything—but certainly did not hover. They could not have been nicer or more engaging. Bottom line: our family really loved our stay and we hope to come back again. .

I have to echo so many of the past reviews of this property. To the beautiful well appointed house, outside firepit and ready access to the crystal clear waters of Torch Lake our stay was wonderful! We rented the host's son's pontoon boat and cruised the lake with a stop at the Dockside restaurant and back on the lake for swimming to work off the good food. (Rental of the lily pad is highly recommended.) Day trips included Mackinac Island, Petoskey State Park and Elk Rapids. Honestly it was very hard to leave the property. A very big thank you to the Stoldt's family for helping us to make so many magical memories!

We stayed at this lake house with 6 people (2 parents and 4 adult kids) and had a great time. The lake house was very clean and had all of the kitchen and household necessities. There were 4 kayaks which we enjoyed using and we rented the BoatTorch pontoon boat for 2 days. The lake is beautiful and the bottom is nice and sandy. The famous sandbar was just down the lake a bit and was fun to hang out in and play frisbe and see the people and dogs. . We used the outdoor grill and the fire pit which was nice. The host lives next door— they were helpful and not intrusive. Loved our stay there and hope to return someday!

The house was wonderful, and the hosts were available and helpful. The dock on the sandbar made this a PERFECT location for families with little ones. The kitchen was the most well stocked rental I've ever stayed in. There was not a tool that we needed that wasn't there, which made cooking great. The only criticism (which I hate even using that word) is that the one bunk room isn't really suitable for adults, as there is no closet, so if you are traveling with 4 couples that want separate rooms, it's tight in the bunk room. The house was roomy, the kitchen was big enough for several people to be cooking, the fire pit was stocked with wood. There were toys, kayaks, life jackets and a few rafts. It was truly a dream and I would not hesitate to rent again from Anja. It was the perfect family vacation. Thanks, Anja!

This home (by no means a cottage) is beautiful, in a wonderful location on Torch Lake and with all the modern conveniences one could hope for. The host was welcoming and has thought of everything a guest could need. This is a top notch rental!

This home was awesome with fantastic hosts that made this one of the best vacations we’ve had. The home is completely remodeled and beautiful. The location on the lake is awesome. It’s minutes from the crowded sandbar if that’s your thing and far enough away to enjoy the peaceful quiet. The lake is shallow in front of the house with gorgeous clear sandy bottom- perfect for swimming. The house comes with everything you need, a lot of thought was put into the decor and amenities and I cannot think of one thing that was missing. Anja and her family are lovely and super helpful.

We stayed this past New Year’s Eve weekend and had a wonderful stay. Although winter time we enjoyed the view of the lake - can imagine how fun it would be in the summer time ! We skied at Schuss and dined in nearby Alden and Bellaire . The house is very comfortable and has such thoughtful and warm touches . Thank you for sharing your home

Everything about this home was wonderful. The house is recently renovated so very clean and fresh, beautiful spot on Torch Lake, very well stocked and lovely owners. Highly recommend!

This place was adorable, clean and so well funished. I knew that it was a newer rental on the market and only hope that people that rent it, will respect it and keep it as nice as the property is. So much detail to making you feel right at home and not needing a thing. We were able to drive up to the home so we brought some things with us. Even though we were there during the fall, I can only imagine how much fun it would be in the summer. The area of the lake is very sandy and good for swimming, however, get in the water from the pier and not on land as it's somewhat rocky along the shore and not a clear opening to enter. Absolutely a fantastic place for a family stay with the feel of "home". Highly recommend it! I would've liked an earlier ck in time than 5:00 pm.

This beautiful home is immaculate and had absolutely everything we needed or could want including a coffee station with espresso machine. The kitchen was completely stocked and I cooked for 6 people every day and did not miss a thing. The house has a direct view to the lake. We enjoyed the fire pit (again completely stocked with wood and even smores!). We all loved this beautifully decorated home and Anja was very responsive. We hope that we can return next summer.

Property was wonderful. Would definetly rent in the future. It would be nice if the new trees in front yard were cut down to improve view of lake.

This was our first visit to Torch Lake, it won’t be our last. We were looking for a relaxing week to catch up with friends we had not seen in too long. Even though we were just two couples it is definitely well set up for a family or larger group. The house was larger than I expected, as were the downstairs master bedroom and the two upstairs rooms. Both rooms we used had very large closets so our clutter was out of the way and with the full baths upstairs and down, each couple had our own sanctuary. There are so many areas for groups to play games or individuals to curl up with a book. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and share meals and the guys were happy to man the grill. The sandbar seems to run forever, we tried to walk to the edge, but didn’t quite find the end of it. The sunsets were amazing. We could probably spend an entire week on the dock or in the lake around it. We also rented a pontoon and took a cruise of the entire length of the lake. We only had one small mishap while there and the owners took care of it right away while making sure we weren’t inconvenienced at all. Anja answered all my questions before and during our stay. She’s taken care of so many little details everywhere that you feel like it’s your home away from home.

The home was even better than we had hoped. The space/layout was great for two families of 4. We were able to cook big dinners and enjoy together. Sleeping quarters were amazing as were the bathrooms. We were able to keep our boat tied up overnight with zero issues and enjoyed an amazing sunset!

Our family stayed here for a week with 8 adults and 2 babies. The house was clean and beautiful. Great location relative to the sandbar. The two upstairs bedrooms were very quiet and perfect for putting the little ones to bed while the adults stayed up in the evening. The owners who live next door were friendly and kind. They were also very responsive to a small maintenance issue we had midweek. We would love to come back next year!

We loved our stay in this beautiful home on the gorgeous Torch Lake. The home is beautifully refinished. The combination of beds worked great for our family of 7. The house is incredibly clean and well cared for and equipped with anything you could possibly need. We used the kayaks every day, enjoyed a campfire most nights, played yard games on the lawn overlooking the lake, had coffee on the dock, had one kid that could almost always be found reading a book in the sunroom with a view of the lake when she wasn't on the water, same spot that mom and dad enjoyed a quiet nightcap after busy kids went to bed, played countless games on the huge kitchen table (also overlooking the lake), kids lounged and enjoyed a few chess matches in the upstairs living area, mooring is easy to hook your personal watercraft to if bringing one and launch is nearby. The location on the sandbar on the south end of the lake is perfect, far from the party but yards and yards and yards of 2-3' water before it gets deep. And close to so many other lovely areas. We took day trips to both Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island, each only a little over an hour away, drove 15 min into Elk Rapids for dinner and shopping one evening and enjoyed the nearby town of Alden, as well. The Village Market nearby is well stocked and not badly priced like some resort area grocers. The owners are extremely kind and helpful and interested in making your trip what you want it to be! It would be the first spot I'd recommend to a friend looking for a Michigan lake vacation.

Wow! I hate to write a glowing review because we are now in love with this rental and want it to be our secret spot, but I will. Absolutely the most perfect VRBO we have ever experienced. Everything is well cared for, everything is provided and thoughtful, and my entire group of 9 didn’t want to leave. The owners are so kind and lovely and extremely helpful. Don’t under appreciate all they offer and the beautifulness of their property. Come here to live the lake life! I’ve been going to Torch Lake for 44 years, and I had no idea how fun this side of the lake is! The new renovations are amazing. Bedrooms and bathrooms are a very generous size. Closets are huge! The bunk room is smaller, but it’s for kids that fit in bunks so no biggie! The ping pong table downstairs was a hit as well. They also have a contact for a pontoon rental. Just ask! So much fun! We cannot thank you enough for such a special bonding opportunity for our Brady Bunch group. We will see you next summer!
