We loved staying at the cozy mountain chalet. It was spotless with a well equipped kitchen. We chose to stay in one night to cook a meal and enjoy the beautiful view while dining at the cabin. We would stay here again.

This place is perfection. The beautiful creek behind the cottage is breathtaking, it’s a cozy little place in the woods. So nice and quiet. The inside is clean, beautiful, perfect for a family of four. The host is very responsive and kind. We will be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the chalet! It was comfortable and relaxing! Maude gave us lots of activity and food suggestions which we loved!! We could hear the creek even in the house, it was a nice way to fall asleep! Thank you for a great stay!!

Perfect, quaint little cottage! The stream out back is surprisingly large! Wifi signal is very good.

Our family of 4 adults and our dog stayed for 2 nights. House is nice, equipped with kichenware, washer/dryer, coffee maker, AC in main bedroom. Narrow, steep stairs to loft with 2 bedrooms, no door in between rooms. One has queen bed and the other is a day bed with trundle. Trundle bed low to floor was not ideal for adult but we did ok. Loved the brook in backyard with adirondack chairs and firepit. Keep in mind check in time not till 430pm and check out is at 1030am. Close to Smuggs and Stowe if you go thru the notch. We'd love to come back.

Absolutely lovely chalet in a tucked away location yet close to outdoor activities. Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful backyard area with stream. Quick responses from Maude. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Comfortably fit myself, my partner, and my brother. Will love to stay again in near future!

Adorable chalet! Owner was very efficient with getting back to me when I had questions and it was very clean and well kept. Smugglers was literally a 3 min drive! Small things to note when booking….The chalet is tiny. Our family of four (2 adults and 2 kids under 13) found it too tiny. The couches are two love seats and it was challenging for all of us to sit together. The TV is via Chromecast only so make sure you bring a device and know how to do that. Upstairs was hot and we’re from Florida. I’d definitely recommend a standing fan to help circulate air. We tried to use the portable AC/Heater but that didn’t seem to circulate any cold air. Other than that, it’s probably a perfect place for two people, maybe 3. Beautiful surroundings!

Second time here and plan to keeping coming back as long as they'll let us! All the essentials you need. Wifi washer/dryer, well equip kitchen, etc. Smuggs is literally your back yard..Stowe about 50 min ( when 108 closed for winter). Cambridge and Jeffersonville are quaint little towns in the area and have everything you may find yourself needing. Pet friendly with great woods and river out back to explore. Owner is great to work with and always there if you need anything. Hoping to sneak some more time in this winter if at all possible!

The steps to the beds are definitely not for everyone but if you take your time the cabin and the location are wonderful ! The stream in the back made me never want to leave !

Good location across the road from Smugglers Notch but still with a remote feel. Our daughter loved sitting and playing in the creek. Great access to nearby hiking trails.

This cabin has everything needed for a private stay in the Smuggler’s Notch area. The sleeping loft has very steep stairs so not recommended for those with physical challenges. The cabin is situate above a mountain stream that sounds great from the deck. It’s proximity to smuggler’s resort made it good for us to meet up with relatives staying on the resort and go out to explore the local area.

This is the most adorable little Vermont home. It is perfectly in sync with the natural environment and the best sleep we have had in a while! The cabin is clean and comfortable and the perfect size for our family of three (though it can sleep four quite comfortably). Host left instructions for how to work everything, so all that was left for us to do was relax Vermont style. We loved the location with the calming creek behind the yard that lulled us to sleep at night. When there’s snow, as there was during our stay, the whole atmosphere was just magical. We took so many family photos! Smuggler’s Notch is a hidden gem. We hope to return to see this little slice of paradise during a different season!

Thank you for a great stay! It's a super convenient location to the woods. We are big backcountry skiers, so this was a fantastic location. Our dogos had a blast too! Maude was a great host and very responsive in communication.

As advertised, comfy beds, nice location for Smuggs, not much privacy in the house for more than a couple and the loft stairs won’t be for everyone but cute and well equipped chalet.

Great home and property right on the river. Perfectly positioned for excellent hiking and nearby Stowe and Jeffersonville. Highly recommend!
