Amazing, dedicated staff! Cozy & tasty, organic breakfast. Very versatile and fresh. Conffy beds and pillows. Nice with a balcony to enjoy the views + AC if needed. Several natural trails right from their root. A separate restaurant 2min walk (amazing food!), Haltia - The Finnish Nature Centre and a mini beach. Terrace where to chill after the sauna! Love the commitment with the recycle company Reuse Center. Will definitely come again - was a staycation for us.

Nothing bad to say, the only perhaps disadvantage with the last booked sauna shift was you had the "mature" smell of using a sauna, used towels and empty btls in the mtg space. They advise sauna for 6 pers but I'd say its for 3 pers max.

Comfortable and cozy lodge! It is located in the center of the forest od Nuuksio, but the place is very convenient to access from Helsinki and the airport.

Be careful that you can use the sauna only in 1 hour in morning for free. If you want to use it privately in evening, you have to pay 50 euros

Excellent small hotel surrounded by beautiful Finnish nature. Very convenient location for coming by public transport and hiking, kind and friendly staff, delicious meals, genuine care and respect for nature.

Quiet and serene, we enjoyed our stay at Haltia. Really well placed for the nature reserve and the nature centre. Not directly on the lake but easy enough to walk down to. Rooms not huge but clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Staff very helpful and pleasant and rectified an issue we had straight away. Food was tasty.

It is a sustainable accomodation, and they reduce food waste by having a pre-booking system for breakfast and dinner. The view from the balcony is superb, and it is just relaxing to watch the trees and the lake. Going to sauna in the morning was refreshing. They are very dog friendly!

The room got rather warm at night, but we did not eant to have AC on while sleeping, so we kept doors open. Luckily there were no mosquitos. There was too little surfaces for storing your things, especially in the bathroom. I understand there is less need for a makeup station in the forest, but it would be nice to have at least a shelf for the toilet bag, so that you do not have to store it on top of the fridge.

I stayed two nights because I wanted to experience the Finnish forest. But as a solo traveler, I did not want to go too wild to be extra cautious. The hotel met my expectations, you can walk around the hotel and there is already a good forest walking. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast spread was good enough. I want to visit again!!

Very kind staff and the comfortable room. The bed was among the best I have ever experienced. The location is easy to access from central Espoo. You might want to take a bus or rent a bike to get to major hiking courses.

We loved our stay at the lodge. It was smaller than we expected but in a good way. It didn't feel like just another big hotel churning through guests. The staff were really friendly, engaging and interesting to chat with, the homemade food was wonderful - plentiful and seasonal. It was a perfect escape from busy life for us - chilled out with lovely surroundings.

The setting is great and so accessible from Helsinki. The staff were fantastic, and the evening menu was good for vegetarians. The area is stunningly beautiful and great, easy hike options. Really like the eco ethos.

As with most other negative reviews, it would have been good to have somewhere to put things in the room like a rail with hangers, or some drawers. And secondly that there is only one, early morning, slot for the sauna and using it outside of that time would be €50. I don't think anyone was using it while we were there. Just one more evening slot for guests would make all the difference (if you could go in after hiking) and guests have been saying that on their reviews for years!

We enjoyed the quiet rooms and lovely bar. The staff are all really helpful and friendly. There are numerous hiking trails right by the property, as well as a small beach and nature center.

Really enjoyed my stay at Haltia Lake lodge. Super quiet location and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever had! Staff is very friendly, the food is good, very good breakfast with local products.Nuuksio National park all around is really beautiful. I'm definitely going to recommend it.

Really beautiful and well designed rooms in the middle of nature. There are curtains that black out the midnight sun as well - really nice!

Haltia Lake Lodge won Best Sustainable Hotel in Europe 2022. it is very easy to access from Helsinki or the airport. Beautiful forest, lakes and walking trails. Helpful staff and a very comfortable bed. Perfect.

Great location for hikings, and extremely helpful staff. The breakfast was great and the whole idea of a sustainable hotel was excellently executed.

There were different dogs barking in the morning and in in the evening in the rooms nearby. The idea of hiking and resting was somewhat impacted on the resting part.

The location is amazing. Breakfast is great. Because the accommodation was fully booked we were upgraded to the tent for one night. The tent is something special. However note, in the tent there is no running water (no shower and and a special toilet). You can shower in the sauna area which is a 100m walk.
