This is a wonderful place to stay, clean, quiet, close to Joshua Tree National Park. I chose the rental among other choices because it listed washer/dryer on the list of amenities. It turns out there is a cost to use the washer for shorter term stay (booked for 3 nights). It would be nice to know ahead of time before booking. This is my first time booking via VRBO, I learn to ask about cost associated to the use of amenities next time.

This is the perfect place to stay near Joshua Tree National Park. The house is immaculate and beautifully updated with all the comforts of home. The property is large and private, and the neighborhood was very quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Joshua Tree National Park.

The owners and staff made our trip a breeze.. any little question was taken care of immediately without any issues. The home was very clean and extremely comfortable close to everything we needed. Hot tub was great! What a view while relaxing after hiking all day. Owner communicates in real time.. no waiting .. Highly Recommend….

We had a great time at this sweet little get away. Super close to the north entrance of the National Park, and a quick easy drive to the west entrance. We loved the quiet and peaceful setting.

My family and I stayed here briefly while visiting Joshua Tree. The Casita had everything we needed. My youngest loved the oversized Jenga game, and we all enjoyed watching the stars from the patio at night. One thing to note is that there is no garage access at this property - there is now a game room out there. Bring a solar shade for your car if visiting in the summer because it can get quite hot in the driveway. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Lovely well-provisioned house, close to the national park. Kitchen with everything we needed to cook some of our meals (stater in 29 palms is a good source for groceries and wine). Thanks Patrick for everything!

Lost Horse Casita is an excellent home away from home for exploring Joshua Tree NP. Patrick and Kathy have provided everything needed for a seamless stay in their well appointed home! Communication from them was excellent. We enjoyed the hot tub on chilly night, taking in the gorgeous view of the valley below.
Twenty Nine Palms is located near the North (less busy) entrance to Joshua Tree, providing an excellent jumping off point. The town offers everything you need to stock up or get a bite to eat.
Favorite hikes/activities: 49 Palms Oasis Hike, Arch/Heart hike, Cholla Cactus Garden, Pioneertown, Wine and Rock Shop. Favorite restaurants: Crossroads Cafe (Joshua Tree), Pappy and Harriet’s (Pioneer Town), Kings Highway Cafe (Palm Springs).
All in all great long weekend getaway! Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Lost Horse Casita. The home is clean, welcoming and situated in a very quiet pocket of town. The home is quite well stocked for a rental and you can tell the hosts really thought of everything a group might need for a comfortable stay. We loved the close proximity to the North Station entrance to the park. We also had a great time trying some of the cute restaurants around the Twentynine Palms neighborhood. It's also just an easy 20-30 min drive to downtown Joshua Tree. Would absolutely recommend this stay to anyone!

We escaped from LA for a weekend of relaxation and Lost Horse Casita did not disappoint! Beautiful property, great location (love Twentynine Palms) and lots of beautiful amenities. Check-in/out was clear and concise and Patrick was so lovely to work with. I will definitely be back, but probably ditching the fam for a girls weekend 😉!

We loved our stay here! The house was so clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Loved sitting in the jacuzzi each night under the lights in the trees. Patrick responded to any questions within twenty minutes and was so friendly and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

Great getaway
Our group of seven (four adults, three children) had a great time. The property is in a quiet neighborhood, but close enough to JTNP that we could make two trips on the same day. The hot tub worked well, and Foosball and Cornhole toss helped keep the kids occupied. Would stay there again.

Amazing birthday weekend in the desert
This property is perfect for a desert getaway, located close to the park entrance and near a grocery store. We also went to Kitchen in the Desert which was very close by and had incredible food. The hot tub, fire pit and large beds were perfect for my five friends and I to have a relaxing and fun weekend. Make sure to bring your own firewood! I would definitely stay here again!

Hidden Desert Gem
My friends and I enjoyed our stay so much! Patrick and Kathy opened their home to us with open arms. They were great at communicating and ensuring we had everything we needed prior, during, and after our stay. I would love to stay in their home again! It was also great that High View Nature Trail in Joshua Tree National Park was only a 30 minute drive away, so it was very accessible. Their home is very clean and filled with so many amenities to ensure we were fully relaxed the entire time (hammocks, hot tub, fire pit, lots of places to sit).

This place is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the dessert sunsets! The backward is great and the hot tub is such a nice treat!
We were two couples and the kitchen felt spacious while we prepared meals. :)
