From the time we looked into booking this VRBO, both Jonathan and Carolyn were so very responsive and helpful. Their rental was lovely, and very peaceful. It’s decorated beautifully with a calming beach theme. They also provide more amenities than we’ve ever experienced before.

My wife and I stayed in the Paradise Suite. The checkin process is seamless as our hosts Carolyn and Johnathan made sure that we had all the information needed. Our place was nestled in a culdesac wooded lot that is very close to the beach. The suite was so welcoming and decorated and outfitted with everything you need. If you forgot it, Carolyn and Johnathan have probably thought of it, and will have what you need. They are super responsive and are truly very sweet people. The complimentary golf cart and bicycles were such a nice touch as my wife and I used the golf cart to go to the beach and rode bikes in the evening to watch the sunset. We would highly recommend you stay here if you want a peaceful, well provided for getaway to Emerald Isle. Carolyn and Johnathan were the best.

What a great beach getaway! It’s a perfect place to stay for a couples trip. My wife and I had a great time. The hosts were awesome and even dropped off baked goodies. I would recommend this stay to anyone.

The Flip Flop couples retreat in the Suite Paradise delivered as promised - calm relaxation! Carolyn and Johnathan were amazing hosts who showed above and beyond hospitality with those extra personalized touches that you can usually only get at a Bed and Breakfast. Easy access to shopping, restaurants, and beaches available with just a short walk, golf cart or bike ride away. Would stay again happily!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. As others have stated, everything you need for an enjoyable time together with your spouse is provided. The host and hostess were extremely nice and welcoming, wanting to make everything work to our comfort and satisfaction. When I initially booked one of their other units (they have 3) I mentioned in my message to them that I recently had knee surgery. Carolyn responded that the unit I had booked was upstairs and that a downstairs unit was available for the same timeframe. I was able to cancel the one I booked and reserve the downstairs unit This was a huge help as making my way up and down stairs was possible but still a bit of a challenge for me. My wife and I spoke to Carolyn and Jonathan a few times and they could not have been a more pleasant hostess/host to get to know. Everything was as described in the listing. We made use of the golf cart a few times, although we also did walk to the beach on one occasion - maybe a 10 minute walk. The place was very clean, everything worked as expected. Inside is an open design - one large room serving as the bedroom, living room, kitchen. The bathroom is off the main room where the stacked clothes washer and dryer are also located. There is also a separate closet from the main room with a dresser and pole to hang clothes. Outside are two lounge chairs which were great for relaxing early in the day before the heat set in. We could not have been more satisfied with our stay.

We had superb service and the place had everything we needed and more!

We didn’t need an entire house this year and didn’t want a condo or hotel. Carolyn’s place was just the right size and we picked this one because it had an oven and stove. Everything was great and Carolyn was very available to help with anything we needed. The golf cart was actually nice since it’s a bit of a walk to the beach. SPOILER ALERT!!! The mini lemon pound cakes were delicious.😋

Beautiful room, very private, very comfortable, has everything you need and then some, highly recommended! Close to the beach!

Absolutely amazing

Carolyn and Johnathan greeted us by our first names. When we approached the property, we felt happy and all our questions were answered. The parking spot was right next to our suite and the amenities were perfect. My husband and I were celebrating our 30th Anniversary. When we opened the door there was a wonderful chocolate cake waiting for us and a sign that said Happy Anniversary. On the bed was a breakfast bed tray with a personalized note greeting us with wine and wine glasses. There were lights lit on the headboard and we felt special. The suite was very clean and all the matching teal and beachy decorations were so beautiful! The access to the golf cart was so nice to get to and from the beach. If golf cart was not available then the bikes were an easy way to get to the beach. Every other morning we were given homemade muffins and they were delicious and so sweet to eat. All things were labeled so we knew where everything was located in our suite. The full kitchen was well equipped and the coffee bar was great! The patio was nice and the lights made it very romantic. In the closet was a beach bag with cute flip flops and soft beach towels. Our suite was always full of love, laughter and music. Alexa was convenient too! We had a full week of sun and only one rainy morning. When it rained, it was convenient to have access to Amazon prime video. There are games and cards to play in suite as well. We will return and recommend to all our friends. Beyond our expectations!

Five stars all the way!! I can’t say enough good things about our experience staying here. Carolyn and Jonathan are the nicest hosts we’ve ever had by far. Also top on my list is cleanliness and this was above and beyond my expectations. The whole place inside and out is just the cutest and she has everything you need to spend the week at the beach. Having a washer and dryer, bikes and a golf cart we’re all added bonuses. Carolyn and Jonathan, Thank you both again for your wonderful hospitality and helping us out and offering us Suite C when it was open. The extra goodies were amazing and just so thoughtful of you. We liked our first visit so much in August we came back again for a long weekend in September. Our hosts were awesome and really define good old fashioned hospitality. The property was excellent- clean, affordable, quiet, private, and great location. Our hosts provided everything- fully furnished suite to include kitchen, washer/dryer, wi-fi, golf cart and bikes to get to the beach, kayaks for intercoastal, beach chairs, umbrellas, snacks, drinks, and a coffee bar in the room. Communication with our hosts (Carolyn & Jonathan) was outstanding and check-in/out was easy. We absolutely recommend this property- a hidden gem on Emerald Isle!

This was truly a couple's beach paradise! We had a wonderful week. We were greeted with an anniversary surprise in a cozy, clean, relaxing space. The hosts made us feel right at home and responded quickly to any messages we sent. They were extremely accommodating and did everything to make our stay the best. We took advantage of the golf cart and bikes and spent much of our time at the beautiful Emerald Isle beach. We took along snacks and drinks provided by our hosts who thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. We would highly recommend this property and hope to come back.

Staying in Suite C was a wonderful experience. The accommodations were just as described, so relaxing, absolutely everything you need is on hand, the owners were so nice and available for info on the area and even provided homemade treats. Loved the location. Would definitely recommend this for vacation.

This was our first visit to Emerald Isle. The suite is close to many amenities and beach entrances. Having the golf cart available for use was a game changer! What made our stay so special though was the hospitality, care and extraordinary planning and customer service we received from Carolyn and Jonathan. The space was beautifully decorated, perfectly clean (and I’m picky) with ALL of the comforts of home - and more! The special touches of snacks, sodas/water, juice and coffee were so appreciated the first morning we were there, because we arrived late and didn’t have time to shop. Add in the fresh baked sweet treats from Jonathan and Carolyn’s kindness and quick response to any question or need and we have found our new oasis! We will be back!!

The suite has all the comforts and conveniences you need, plus the thoughtful little extras you’ve come to expect in a superb vrbo stay… and some neat surprises, too. The hosts live directly above the suite but have set up the outdoor space to ensure privacy for guests, with curtains that can be closed around the patio. WiFi is fast for remote work and streaming needs. Location is convenient. Highly recommend this host for EI visitors.

The decor and ambiance is so peaceful. From the moment we arrived our suite was the perfect home away from home! We visited for our anniversary and my birthday also happens to be the same week. Carolyn and Justin are so hospitable, there was a cute tray table set up on the bed with a mini bottle of wine, wine glasses and rose petals! There was also a birthday cake and present on the table :) Thank you for making our vacation extra special!! :)

Very comfortable space, just big enough for two!

I travel all over NC and stay in many VRBO properties and this one is top notch! The owners have given so much attention to detail and didn’t miss a trick including any toiletries you may have forgotten. Lounging on the outside deck I felt that I was at a Sandals resort with the beautiful decor. Additionally you can walk quickly to several wonderful restaurants. While marketed as a couple retreat… it makes for a wonderful solo retreat as well! I’ll be back!

This property doesn't disappoint, the Hosts were wonderful. From the time you enter you feel like you are in paradise, the decor is adorable inside and out, and close access to the beach was great!

Suite Paradise was truly paradise! From the moment we walked in, the music was playing, and there were lovely touches everywhere. Freshly baked muffins, ice cream in the freezer, wine, and snacks awaited us. The suite is decorated to perfection. Beautiful linens, pillows, and candles adorned the room. The kitchen had every possible thing we'd need, including a coffee bar with whole beans and a grinder! The outside area was another bit of heaven - lounge chairs with comfortable cushions, a hanging swing, firepit, table and chairs for eating, outdoor lights and scarves. Carolyn offers bikes, kayak, and even a golf cart to get to the beach. And "Chef Jonathan" baked for us daily! These owners are more than responsive - they are truly concerned with their guests having the perfect stay. And we did. Highly recommend!

You will be blown away with how amazing this suite is and the hosts are wonderful. Everything looks like the photos and descriptions of the suite fit it to a "T". Carolyn and Jonathan made my vacation so enjoyable with the comfort of the suite and their hospitality. I especially enjoyed all the baked goodies that they left for me - they truly spoiled me during my vacation. I would recommend this suite to all my family and friends with hopes to stay there next year.

Carolyn and Jonathan were excellent hosts! The property was in perfect condition and beautifully decorated in beachy colors. Suite C faced the private backyard so it was cozy quiet. Coffee on the patio in the morning was my favorite! They also provided a kayak, bicycles and use of a golf cart that made getting around super easy. The location was VERY convenient to the beach, restaurants and the attractions of Emerald Isle. I will definitely be coming back!

We celebrated our anniversary. This place was so nicely decoratorated and above and beyond our expectations. Absolutely nothing was forgotten by our generous hosts. Our hosts responded in a timely manner with all of the information that we needed. If you hate peace and quiet or lots of pillows & comfort, this is not the place for you. The location is on a cul-du-sac with woods on one side and privacy.

We had such a great time staying at Carolyn's place! She and her husband Jonathan really did everything they could to make our experience great. This is the most well-equipped VRBO property we've ever stayed in. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook the few meals we are in and so much more. We also loved that there was a coffee maker with every accessory we could have wanted. In addition to usual household things, Carolyn also supplied everything we needed to have a good time at the beach--everything from beach chairs, umbrella, convenient backpack cooler and more. We also loved having access to the bikes so we could easily get to the beach or ride to local restaurants and attractions. The property is exactly 0.5 miles from the beach and 0.5-2 miles from restaurants and shops along an easy to navigate bike path. Finally we mentioned being excited to be on vacation during the summer Olympics and Carolyn went ahead and queued up all of the events on YoutubeTV in the suite for us. Like I said before, she really goes above and beyond to create a good experience. We can't wait to come back!

Suite C was comfortable, super cute decor and had all the comforts of home. It’s a short walk to the beach and a great location to access all of attractions of Emerald Isle. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming. They even gave us warm cookies upon arrival and an amazing streusel one morning for breakfast. We’ll definitely be coming back!
