As soon as my husband and I walked into the house, we could tell how much time and effort was put in to make it clean and welcoming to guests. The king bed was super comfortable! We even got to see some hawks from the back porch! Only complaint is in order to contact the “owner” you have to call the Oak Island Accommodations phone number. They don’t reply on Vrbo.

No guest Book, No binder about the island. No lighting on stairs, underneath lights only had a underneath which caused me to miss the last stair in the dark and I landed on the concrete. The lady next door brought over a mat so we could see were the concrete was.

This stay was awesome. Plenty of room for all 8 of us. 5 kids and 3 adults. The backyard with the fireplace was great. Close to beach and a quick ride to Southport. It was relaxing and beautiful.

Lovely spot. Very comfortable place to stay for a family vacation. Good proximity to beach and local restaurants. I only wish we knew renting a golf cart was something we should have thought of for this location! If we stay again we will remember to rent a golf cart in advance! We were very happy with the home though!

My husband and I rented this property for a week-long beach getaway with some family. It is a lovely house, and we particularly loved the screen porch and sun deck options. The house looks very new inside and is nice and cozy. The rental company was quick to respond. The beach is about a 10-min walk from the house. We rented a golf cart for the week which is a very popular thing to do in OKI, and I highly recommend doing that, as there are designated golf cart parking areas at the beach access. The house is about 3-5 miles from OKI restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream parlors, etc. If you value being able to walk/bike to those places, you will want to rent closer to 30-40th st. The house met our needs, and linens/towels were provided. We brought our own paper products, although there were a few rolls of toilet paper, and some dish soap/dishwasher packets provided by the rental. We did cook while there, and while the kitchen has basics, you will need to supplement with your own items if you’re a “serious” chef. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

This is a beautiful property and the pictures don't do it justice. However it is actually managed by an agency that is not great to work with. The communication is poor and they send people out without notifying you that they've been there when you aren't. Also they apparently offer discounts but they aren't advertised so no longer available when you see them. Otherwise the home itself is beautiful and perfect for a family vacation.
