Located near the Happo Mountain in the Japanese Alps, a lot of nature and very good air. Jacuzzi on the veranda of the room is wonderful. The hotel has a very old vibe, like entering a different era. Habuka is in the summer completly empty, if you enjoy a very quiet place this is the right place. The personal and the general manager are very friendly and will go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable.
Breakfast could be better.

It’s cosy, very friendly and personal service. Awesome food, and nice room. Feels like home away from home.

This was a lovely traditional hotel, well located for skiing. We were transferred and collected to the slopes every day which were only about 10 mins away. The staff were exceptional and couldn't do enough for us. They would have our ski boots ready for us when we left the hotel and would book our taxis and recommend restaurants for the evening meals. The room was spacious with a living room as well as a bedroom. We had a nice view of snowy trees.
The buffet breakfast was not very satisfactory although you could order a cooked breakfast FOC.

The staff are amazing and very helpful.
No lifts, just stairs but only 2 stories high and basement. After skiing though legs are sore.

Service and staff were top notch, the hotel has so much charm with comfortable and spacious rooms.

The hotel was very sweetly decorated and the breakfast was excellent. Staff were very accommodating and attentive.
Would have liked a bar to sit at and have a drink. Also, we didn’t see a hot tub on site, however, there is a number of onsens in walking distance.

exceptional service. Very friendly, polite, helpful staff. comfortable but non flashy luxury. great location
almost everything was close to perfect. I would prefer a buffet breakfast, but thi sis temporarily suspended because of covid --like everywhere in japan

it is a beautiful intimate and elegant home away from
home. the staff are amazing as are the rooms. there is nothing the staff in their lovely gentle Japanese way, won’t help you with.
it would be lovely if it had an onsen or at least an outdoor spa in winter but you so have a spa bath in the room with a window to the snow you can open.

Decently spacious, bath was big, staff tried very hard to accommodate us
Wifi is godawful... need to work on that, rooms a bit gaudy with decor and colors, need more outlets not by the bed

The staff is over the moon especially Mr. Minami who picked us up from and to the station and helped us prepare our plans and made reservation for us with restaurant.
Nothing.

The staff went above and beyond to make our short trip low stress. We were served hot tea and snacks upon arrival and all arrangements for skiing were available or/near the hotel.

People: all the staff (reception, driver, restaurant staff) are very professional and welcoming. We feel so welcomed and relaxed during our stay. Special thanks to Manabe-san and his team for their sincere and wonderful customer services.
French restaurant: the French cuisine is very high quality. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all well prepared and freshly made. Nice atmosphere and decor with beautiful flowers and lovely tableware.
Hotel room: we booked a standard room for 3 nights and was kindly upgraded to a deluxe room with a spa bath on the 3rd night. The standard room is spacious with lovely furniture and a standard bath while the deluxe room is gorgeous with huge bathroom with a jacuzzi; the bedroom is also spacious with beautiful classic furniture and relaxing music/CD player provided.
Free shuttle service: not only from Hakuba bus station to hotel, but also free shuttle to the slopes everyday. We don't have to wait for the public shuttle bus anymore (or check the bus timetable). Whenever we finished skiing, we just made a phone call to the hotel and they would pick us up immediately. So convenient and hassle free!!
Ski rental shop nearby: 2 mins walk from the hotel; you can rent all the ski/snowboard equipment there and the hotel staff will pickup and return on your behalf. Very convenient!
Onsen: we stayed at Tokyu Hakuba and Laforet hotel (now Courtyard Marriot) before and both have public hot spring baths. It would be great to have onsen after the whole day ski trip. Of course we know La Neige has no public hot spring before our booking. Thus I would recommend to book at least a deluxe room with spa bath instead of a standard room.

Nestled in the woods, away from businesses, traffic, and people. Quiet and serene. Usage of dark wood, high ceilings, lobby with lounging space, refreshments, fire place and classical furniture is fit for those who like to enjoy spaciousness, indoors, reading, and the hotel itself.
while everything is functional, the toilets and bathtub is outdated. very low toilets (ok for short people) and does not have automatic flush (my boys kept on forgetting to flush). The beds were stiff, too. An upgrade on the toilet, bathtub, and beds would add value for sure.
also, it would be helpful if the hotel rents out snow boots, so guests don’t have to go out to a rental shop to rent boots.
food was exceptional but they serve too much food. we felt bad for the leftovers.

The fine French cuisine dinner and breakfast were exceptional. All served on gorgeous unique dinnerware, quite the rare treat with beautiful fall colors right outside the big windows.
The large suite like room was very comfy and the red leather sofa was perfect for gazing out the window, watching the leaves fall from the very tall trees.
Everything was great. No complaints.

wonderful breakfast, excellent service, very kind staff and very professional, great location for your winter holiday, lifts are a short walk away , or the staff will bring you to the lift of your choice.

Gorgeous property and friendly staff. The breakfast was outstanding if, maybe, a little too fancy for our family. My daughter have a food allergy and the staff went out of their way to accommodate. Close enough to walk to Sakka ski liftZ
Not a ton of restaurants near by and the restaurant on the property is very fancy and expensive. The heated in our cottage were quite loud at night.
