Clean, comfortable, and homey!!
Parking needs to be better marked… two out of my three nights we had to park either in a non-parking spot or far far away.

The property is very close to all that Lake Lure has to offer. The furniture was comfortable, the king bed was comfortable and the outside deck was lovely to watch the sun come up. I believe with a few extra touches, the property could be a 5 out of 5. For example, a throw for the outside deck; dishwasher detergent; an ice maker; instructions about the garbage; any kind of written guide to the TV, working outlet near the vanity, and a warning about the lack of phone reception outside and inside the property.
The bathroom is divided into two parts, which is not a problem. The shower and toilet are in one room and the sink and vanity are in another. The problem is there is no electrical outlet to be found where the sink, vanity and mirror are located. Even though there was a hair dryer provided, you have to sit in the kitchen to use it. And while we did not use the kitchen to prepare any meals, we did notice the oven needs to cleaned. I had hoped to use the dish washer but there was no detergent to be found.

I loved everything about this place. It was a quaint and romantic get away for my husband and I. The location was wonderful as it is one mile from lake lure which is a great get away in itself. The lake and amenities alone were a benefit of booking at this property. Upon arrival the internet was not working and the owners Joe and Melanie responded very quickly and resolved the problem immediately. The pictures posted are right on cue. The apartment is very cutely decorated and called the "turtle Shack". I will definitely be returning to this property. I want to make it a yearly trip for my husband as we enjoyed every moment of being there :) Thank you Joe and Melanie for the experience!!
