Located at 5225 Collins Avenue in the South of Mid Beach directly on the beach this location is recognized for its intimacy, charm, and direct access to the beach. It is the perfect spot for singles or families, is safe and friendly. We are less than 3 miles to the center of South Beach. Local activities include delicious eateries, fine dining, tourist attractions and night life. The beach and boardwalk are just steps away from our pool area where we have two heated pools and hot tubs. Property Manager manages many of the finest units at the Alexander. Apartment 718 at The Alexander (7th floor) is a large 1200 sq ft BRAND NEW beautifully furnished and decorated (in March 2015) 3 to converted 4 bedrooms, 3 bathroom signature apartment with both intracoastal and ocean views. 2 queen beds, 3 adult single twin beds, and a sofa which converts to full size bed and additional rollaway for added sleeping. Includes a 20-ft balcony, full kitchen with side by side refrigerator, oven, microwave, dishwasher, granite counter and double bowl sink, washer/dryer, dining area seats 8, living room and den which converts to a 4th bonus sleeping area. 5 HDTV TV's, cable channels and Wi-Fi. The master bedroom has been divided into two separate smaller rooms. Both of those rooms have queen beds and has its own private bathroom and area for hanging clothes while the second room has queen bed and windows with its own bathroom in the hallway.
Extra guests: Standard rate includes sleeping up to 7 guests, additional guest is $35 per night up to maximum of 9 guests.

Our brand new upper-level poolside cabana is available to rent 10am - 8pm, during your stay. Great Rental in an Awesome Location
We were all very impressed with the layout, decor updates and style of the rental unit. It is very spacious with plenty of beds and great views from the windows. Some rooms include large sliding room dividers which were great for added privacy when needed. Every bathroom was clean and we had plenty of towels to go around all weekend.
The building was still being renovated so the hallways and outsides, including our balcony, were not looking the best. But we know that going in and it honestly didn’t take away from our experience. The outdoor amentities and beach access were wonderful, especially the heated pool and hot tubs this time of year.
The only issues we had were with the ice dispenser on the fridge not working (it made ice but didn’t dispense it out the door) and the clothes dryer in the apartment not working through a full cycle. The dryer ended up not being an issue because there are public laundry machines available on each floor. Also, when we called the maintenance contact they sent someone to make repairs by the next day.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time!

Overall a nice stay.
Overall our visit was very nice. The unit has a couple of maintenance items that need to be addressed. I was dismayed by the management company coming by at 5AM on the last night we were there to pick up the money for the groceries we had delivered. When I met her the day we arrived I asked her to come by the day the next day. She didn't come that day and ended up emailing me the day before we departed to ask when she could get the money. I told her 10am on the day we checked out (next day) would work. She came at 5am and 7am and finally at 10am. I hope it was a language barrier, but to me common sense would tell someone not to come by at 5am unless specifically asked to do so. On the plus side, when our ice maker didn't work they came right over with a bag of ice and then fixed the ice maker.

Bachelorette Bash!
Our group of 7 of girls stayed at Alexander 718 for 4 nights while enjoying our bachelorette party! We absolutely loved the condo! We had plenty of sleeping space and having 3 bathrooms was so helpful when all the girls were getting ready! The condo is beautifully decorated and in very good condition overall. It was very clean when we arrived and we had no issues during our stay. Like previous posts state there is A LOT of construction going on. During the week construction started promptly at 9am and it was pretty loud inside our condo but we were expecting that. However the construction did stop at 4pm every day and they did not work on the weekend which was nice. Again, like everyone else had said the building which the condo is located in is older (hence the construction). The hallways are really the only place where it was noticeable. The pool/ bar area was awesome and the beach access was just past the pool!! We did not eat at the restaurant because it was a little expensive for us. However there are several very good, affordable local places to eat near the condo. I would highly recommend the New York Bagel Deli and Venezia (they deliver for free 24 hours a day!). Both places were fantastic and we ate for under $10!! We enjoyed several clubs while we were there and the condo is a short drive to all of them (we used uber/ lyft to get around). I would highly recommend this condo! Thank you Hora Rentals for a wonderful trip!

Beautiful Condo- but NOT a 3 bedroom !
Apartment quality and furnishings were beautiful, but doubt if I would stay here again. Calling this a 3/4 bedroom is really false advertising. You can't just put a sliding door in the middle of a bedroom and say you now have an extra bedroom. You don't need a real estate license to know this.Even if you were to call this another bedroom it's not much larger than what I imagine a typical jail cell is. No closet, no windows, bed is 6 inches from wall. Also, saying there is a den/4th bedroom is more false advertising - they just put a sliding door in the middle of the living/dining area. Other reviewers have loved this place; maybe I could understand if you have 10-15 people, but we had five - 2 couples and our 18 year-old daughter. We love the Alexander, but would have much preferred the normal two-bedroom with a full master, or a real 3-bedroom.

OMG!!! This Place was PERFECT!!!!!!
I can't explain how pleased we were to stay here. This place looks exactly like the pictures!! It was beautiful and spacious! We stayed here for my cousins bachelorette party, and everyone's mouths dropped when they walked in. It met and exceeded all of our expectations. Mark was great to deal with - starting from the initial booking, all the way through the entirety of the trip. I would definitely love to stay here again. 5 stars is not enough for this place. Thank you again for everything!

I liked the location and the amenities the problem we had is a really big noise all night coming from the vent in the bath at the master bedroom we called the maintenance but they couldn't fix it, other than that was good thank you

Great place for large group
Stayed here with 7 other girls for a bachelorette party in June . The pictures provided gave an accurate description of the suite . Overall had lots of space and everybody truly enjoyed the stay . I will note that they are doing construction on the whole building and when I arrived around 4:00 the noise was pretty loud . I reached out to the owners who said it would stop around 4:30 and it did .

A Diamond in the Dust
This condo was amazing. It really exceeded our expectations. Despite all the dust, noise and renovations going on on the property, our stay was still a pleasant one. We definitely look forward to going back and staying again once all renovations are complete.

Beautiful, Modern Condo in Average Hotel
I rented this condo for a bachelorette party with 9 girls. It fit us perfectly with 2 people sleeping out on the sleeper sofa! 3 bathrooms was a plus, and the condo is absolutely beautiful and updated. The hotel (The Alexander) is undergoing construction so it was dirty, noisy, and a little run-down. We ended up spending no time at the hotel aside from when we were in the condo which ended up being fine. The owners (Mark especially) were very responsive to our questions over the weekend regarding construction hours, etc. and made sure we were compensated for the inconvenience caused by the construction and overall state the hotel was in at the time.
The condo would received 5 stars if it stood by itself. The hotel would receive about 2.5-3 in general.
Would rent again if I was looking to accommodate such a large party in one space. Mainly just because of HORA Management personnel's responsiveness and the spaciousness of the condo.

Home Away From Home
The vacation rental looked as pictured. The pool area was very nice. The room was clean, beautifully decorated, and spacious. We had a group of 9 and we fit well. The 3rd sleeping area (extra area divided by partition) is very small and not really a room. We rolled the pull out bed into the living area and was just fine. The hotel is dated as most reviews state, but the room was awesome. Mark left very clear instructions, and helpful information in the information emailed. Entry into the property was a breeze and overall we had a wonderful stay!

Beautiful apt.
Rented for 5 nights in late March, 2015. Apt. was nicely furnished with plenty of beds and bathrooms. However, construction was going on in pool area that was loud and pool bar was closed. Also construction taking place in building directly across from apt. So the reco is to wait for construction to be finished then apt. will be great!

The Alexander 718
Very nice apartment. The Alexander is under EXTENSIVE renovation, it almost looks abandoned. Once we got into our actual condo, their were no issues! The condo was updated, very spacious, and clean. If you can look past the outside of the hotel, you will enjoy your stay.

NICE STAY!!
The hotel is currently under construction but the suite was awesome. There was enough space to comfortably hold 8 women with luggage...LOL...The pool and beach were just mintues away from the room. I would definitely stay again!!

Miami Beach front suite with 4+ bedrooms
We had a great experience with this property. It was New, clean, well located and perfect for 6 adults and 3 children. The hotel is being renovated, so you need to overlook that, but the condo was fabulous.

Worst Stay EVER
I am thankful for my family vacations and our time together, luckily we have learned we can survive a horrible place to stay in Miami, this one. This place looked like it had been bombed and the hallway conditions were frightening to my children and ourselves. It was disgusting. The staff, aside from one person, Leslie, were rude, mean, and unhelpful. Never Ever have I experienced this even as a younger less fortunate traveler. I even have pictures of this dump. Truly the inside of the condo wasn't horrible but the dryer did not work and we could never get towels, the sinks didn't drain, and shelves were broken in the fridge. They are undergoing construction but failed to tell us. The jack hammer at the pool was great and relaxing! We were also charged for a cabana....they don't have any! Pool attendants rude and disrespectful. Overall never stay. I am happy to forward pics if needed to prove this place is awful! Sincerely, KB
