Apartment above the cottage so there is some noise but it was no bother for us.

Die Auswahl in der Region Glen Coe ist schnell ausgebucht und alle Unterkünfte sind überteuert. Wir hatten keine andere, keine günstigere Wahl. Neben der Hauptstraße liegen an einem parallelen Schotterweg ein paar Häuser, die sowohl privat bewohnt werden als auch einen Teil an Touristen vermieten - wie bei uns. Wir hatten gemütliche Sofas am Elektrokamin, einen ordentlichen Esstisch an dem wir auch Karten spielen konnten, eine kleine Küche, eine separates Gäste WC am Eingang und ein Bad mit Dusche, WC und Waschbecken beim Schlafzimmer. Schlafzimmer mit viel Schränken. Wir konnten gut heizen - und warm duschen.

Rund um das Haus gibt es gepflegte Gartenanlagen mit Bank am Fjord: gehört alles den Nachbarn und kann nicht genutzt werden. Ein öffentlicher Trampelpfad führt ans Wasser. Die Küche ist ohne Spülmaschine und der Herd ist noch mit 4 Kochplatten… der Backofen ist innen klebrig und schon lange nicht mehr grundgereinigt. In den Schränken sammeln sich unkontrolliert Lebensmittel Reste vorheriger Gäste. Natürlich ist es angenehm auf Salz, Zucker, evtl. Mehl, Essig und Öl zugreifen zu können. Aber auf den Zustand kommt es an. Ärgerlich ist die Kühlschrankkonstruktion. Hinter einer zusätzlichen Küchentüre (passend zur Küche) verbirgt er sich und so müssen immer 2 Türen geöffnet werden. Es ist eben kein Einbaukühlschrank. Sehr unpraktisch. Die Durchgangsstraße ist stark befahren und laut- aber das ist eben so in Glen Coe. Auf den Fotos sieht man eine großartige Natur und in echt wandert man parallel neben einer Schnellstraße

Good location - close to Ballachulish and a short walk to Lock Leven. Quaint, well decorated. The one bedroom was spacious, probably more so than the rest of the cottage.

If you are not a couple, then don't stay here. The cottage advertised a sofa bed, which doesn't exist. What does exist is a portable bed, which, when assembled, takes up almost all the free space in the common area. The slats on the portable bed kept detaching, leaving the only other sleeping option to be the couch, which is too small for a grown man. The cottage is super tiny. It does not help that the couch and chair are gigantic, leaving even less space. The cottage is attached to the Craigavon House, and the walls seem to be thin since it was easy to hear the noisy children and whiney dog. Finally, we have stayed in multiple places in Scotland, and I feel this place is the worst value. e.g., highest price for the product.

This was a comfortable cottage for a short break in Ballachulish. I didn't meet the hosts in person but they left a welcome pack, which was very good, and they checked how things were by text message. Kitchen was well equipped.

Had to cross a main road for access (by foot). Limited views and nowhere to sit outside.

Warm, stylish, comfortable place in a perfect location. Definitely recommend!

Standard older lockset didn't work, needing replacing, but the kind hostess who lives right next door to the right was able to work the mortise lock and said it would be fixed. Walk to the right, around the home and to the loch. Sit and ponder the universe in privacy. Gorgeous. This is a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and clearly loved. I'd return in a heartbeat.

There is a bit of road noise which dies down. I didn't find it easily but the hostess is available.
