Beautiful room that was so comfortable and relaxed. The sound of the stream and the fresh air made for a lovely sleep.

Lovely big bedroom and high spec bathroom . Tea and coffee making facilities . Quality bedding and very clean .

Would have preferred a king size bed or two single beds . We are both tall and it felt a bit cramped in the double.

Parking is free but just off street only

Very friendly welcome, beautiful tranquil garden, liked the pure cotton bedding, spotless cleaning and easy walk into town.

The reviews were consistently good so we anticipated a pleasant stay and were not disappointed. Stacey was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room is spacious, light and comfortable, the bed was great, everything worked and the bath and shower were clean and comfortable. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

The only very slight drawback with the room was that the blinds let in more light than we are used to which woke us early - but others might not be bothered.

Large en-suite room within characterful property; modern bathroom and very friendly host. Lovely view into the treetops!

Only access to the property via 2 narrow flights of very steep, worn stone steps with low height clearance and then another flight of stairs once in the property. The host did advise of this after we booked but, until you go, it’s hard to imagine how narrow, steep, etc, the steps are. Definitely not suitable for anyone with any mobility issues

Great place - exactly as described. Sofa bed comfy for one. Bathroom exceptional. Stacey the host welcoming and interesting! Happy to share her home. It’s a quiet, lovely place in Holmfirth within easy walking distance of the town centre.

Only minor point for my mum was the step into the bathroom wasn’t obvious as it blends into the other floor tiles, so maybe a white strip along the step edge, or something similar would make it less of a trip hazard.

Such a beautiful home, quiet and relaxing place to be. The room was spacious and comfortable and Stacey is a great host. we will definitely be back when we get the chance.

It is a quirky old traditional property not far from the town. Although you are staying in the home owners house ,it feels completely private and very spacious and has lovely modern private bathroom.

Steps down to property not ideal for a wobbly old bird like me.. So if you have a walking issue they are steep and quite narrow

Stacey was there to greet us on arrival and show us our room, facilities and talk us through all the bits and bobs relating to our stay (ie; how things worked, the keys/door locks etc) and introduce Miles the cat (very handsome!). Our room was comfy and a good size with double bed, sofa, TV (with loads of channels), light and airy etc., plus tea/coffee making ability. The bathroom was large and recently re-fitted - it was beautiful! Fantastic walk-in shower as well as a bath. Nice view from the windows and could hear the stream and the birds/owls at night. Overall a very quiet room at the back of the house. We were able to park our car right outside the house easily, despite the road being a busy one. Walking into Holmfirth was so easy and took about 10 mins at a standard pace - a little longer up the hill coming back. Stacey was happy for us to use the kitchen if we wanted to cook, and we could leave juice etc in the fridge. Excellent stay, terrific host.

Nothing! Just a teeny thing - we’d put an extra small bin in the bedroom, plus a small table to put our hot drinks on whilst sitting and watching the TV (hate putting cups on the floor incase we knock them!).

Room was fab. Good decoration, furniture, facilities and the bathroom was amazing. Stacy was lovely and welcoming. Massive lovely quilt and quality pillows. Loved it.

The parking was the only downside as had to find a spot on street, however the room, views and everything else made up for this.
