Park View was spacious, with comfortable beds and all the facilities we needed. As Australians we were confused about turning on the central heating but the owners came right over and turned it on for us, and even brought an extra towel because they thought they hadn't given us enough. The view across to the park was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay.

The location in the town centre was great, especially as it overlooked the park. The flat was very spacious. Having a parking space in the yard was very useful. Efficient Wi-Fi.

Excellent location. We used Hexham as a home base for exploring Hadrian's wall and other local historic sites.
Very helpful host who helped us quickly resolve an issue with a neighbor who didn't realize they had some kind of alarm going off. The host also left us a fresh pint of milk in the fridge which was a lovely touch.
Private off-street parking was definite plus.
Comfortable kitchen and living area. An electric hearth in the original fireplace came in handy for warming up after a cold, wet hike.
Very cozy and memorable.
Many others have noted the two sets of long, steep stairs. We're in our 60's but we dealt with it.
We found using the combo washer and dryer confusing. Trying to use it for just drying some damp things proved frustrating despite having the instructions readily available.
My biggest suggestion would be to install a grab bar to aid in getting out of the bath without the risk of breaking a hip. We did find the traction mat in the closet that definitely helped.

Excellent location for visiting family and friends in the Hexham and Newcastle area. The property is adjacent to the beatiful Sele Park and a short walk from the town centre the station and the river. Great places to sightsee, walk, eat and relax. Owners were very friendly and helpful , responding quickly to texts.
It would have been handy to have a visitor book with information about the property, user manuals for appliances, emergency numbers etc.

The stairs from the door to the living area. We are both over 70 and had a lot of heavy luggage.

Just the stairs are very steep and narrow , could put a gate at top just in case you fall down if going to bathroom .

Superb location in the middle of Hexham with private parking.

Nicely furnished property in a very central location for all amenities. The flat is above a property shop with two flights of stairs for access to the two floors. It is situated at the end of the block and the windows provide a lovely view of the street, and the park opposite. Ample free private parking at rear of property as a bonus, and my large SUV slotted in with no problems. Tea facilities etc, and fully furnished very modern kitchen. Whole apartment was very spacious and comfortable.

Great location very close to the abbey, shops, pubs and restaurants. (Stalida was our family's favourite. Almost like being in Crete!)
Great bonus of easy, free parking. (Car park was virtually empty for the whole of our stay.)
Pretty rooms, recently decorated with new carpets- nicer than the photos in my opinion. Especially enjoyed sitting in the window watching the world go by. Flat is equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of heating and hot water, too.
Peter rang on the first night to check that all was good, leaving us with his contact number.
I would live there, and I don't often say that about places I stay in UK.
Nothing to "dislike" but a few observations to help owners and potential visitors are:
Key box code went from right to left, not left to right, and confused us for a minute.
Perhaps the living room window seating area needs a small table to put drinks on so that they are not being balanced on the ledge.
Two flights of stairs could be a challenge for some people (and was a consideration for me when I booked), but I was pleased to find that although they are quite steep the hand rails are fairly good. FYI- Toilet is on the upper floor with the bedrooms.
It is a busy part of a town, hence the excellent location. There was some noise from early morning delivery trucks and people returning home after nights out, but it was definitely quieter at night time than during the day and didn't bother us once the windows were closed.

The property was very spacious, clean and tidy in a great position in Hexham, with easy parking around the back. Though we didn’t meet the hosts as they were away, they provided us with a welcome note and a contact number if any issues
Not a fault of the hosts just mine, as I am used to living in a quiet village I didn’t realise how much traffic noise they’d be which I should have done, with being in a city.
Plus I’m a very light sleeper, my wife slept fine.

A spacious and attractive flat in an excellent location with very nice views of a park.
1. Central heating went off just hours after we arrived and required a visit from the landlord to get it right; central thermostat appeared not to be working.
2. The shower ran scalding hot / cold for no obvious reason, at random; we gave up, and just used the basin.
3. The kitchen lights kept turning themselves on and off, of their own accord, at random. We were worried this might be an electrical fault, and a fire hazard.
4. Living room lights were very gloomy.

The fire safety precautions needed adjustment - fire extinguishers were tied up and couldn't easily be used in an emergency; the fire exit would have needed a heavy implement (nothing ready to hand) to break the glass to get the key; the fire exit was impeded by a piece of furniture; there were no smoke alarms; the fire alarm could only be activated by hand from a button just inside the front door, down 1 or 2 flights of stairs from the flat, and again one would need to break glass to access it.

We couldn’t get the hang of the free sat television, luckily we watched IPlayer on my IPad.

Could do with brightening up a bit, furnishings and decor are all brown/beige. A bit of colour and character would help.

Park location. Large rooms. Above the street so not disturbed too much by traffic noise. Heating excellent. 2 mins from shops and restaurants
Stairs very steep. Only 1 bathroom. Parking not ideal as other parking spots blocked our one. Pavement very narrow by front door with cars driving on the pavement by the front door to get around the tight corner

Comfortable, spacious apartment with all amenities, and situated only a short walk from the town centre. Nice views over the park. Very friendly and helpful owners. Very good wi-fi. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The location is great.
The parking is a bit tight but is a real plus point as everywhere else nearby always seemed fully occupied day and night.
The stairs were a little on the steep side but had good hand rails.
No safety handles in the climb in shower or safety mat. OK for one of us but a no go for the other.
