Basic, clean accommodations with nice people and sweet dog. Super location, good for a short stay.

Location is good

When I was there there were no staff I could talk to. The attached restaurant was closed. So no possibility for breakfast. There were coffeee facilities but I only got a small jug of milk for 1 day. Since there was no one to help- I did not have the wife password so no internet and although there was a bath, there was no hot water. Not the best I must say

Bedrooms a little tired but hospitality excellent and heard all about plans to invest over coming year. Covid set them back but the rooms were very comfortable and clean.

A beautiful old pub with a great bar and outdoor space. We arrived to find oysters and English sparkling wine available in the bar! What a great start to our mini break. The staff were very friendly and professional and have a great vision and enthusiasm for the pub and restaurant.

The bedrooms are still a little dated but part of the owners planned improvement plans

Wifi cut out constantly. Staff member was unconcerned. Door handle to bathroom was defective, someone will get trapped in there at some point

Restaurant was closed, office telephone kept ringing outside the room with no one in it and the door open

Travelling for work I needed to be in this area overnight and this was a perfect fit. Good ale in the pub. Unfortunately, I didn't have chance to try the food-which other punters assured me is excellent.

The location and staff were great

the lock on my room didn't work it took me 10 minutes to get it to lock (I did inform the staff), then whilst I was out someone went into my room to one of the locked cupboards (I could tell as the chair was moved) and then they never locked my door when they left probably due to the issue above but I don't think they should have gone in there and they definitely should have made sure the door was locked as my I.T. equipment and car keys were in there, so not happy.

Comfy, simple, did the job for an overnight stay.

Pub/bar is really nice with friendly staff and good beer. Dinner in the evening was good.

Only enough parking for two cars, so a little tricky. Rooms haven't been re-furbished for years, so really need some investment.

The room was freezing - was sorted whilst we were out. One member of staff knocked on door and then entered without waiting!

The staff and owner were very very accommodating and friendly, location is perfect and very easy to get to

Despite a few ‘teething troubles’ the team did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. The housekeeper, in particular, was really lovely. we will stay again.
