This is the sweetest house. Comfortable and convenient. Short walk to the beach (you can hear the gulf waters crashing from the porch). Beach chairs and a boogie board were available for our use. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had all we needed to cook our meals, we had games to play and puzzles to put together at night. Neighbors were all very friendly. Taking walks down to the marina for dinner or Sunday brunch was great. Our host was available prior to check-in for quick answers to a couple of questions. This was a great place to stay. Great memories were made and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Stayed with some old friends for a surf fishing trip. We tore up the reds and landed a 5' black tip reef shark. It was our fourth year in a row, but the first time staying in a rental. We will NEVER rough it again. Having a hot shower, washer and dryer, clean bedding, a large kitchen and air conditioning makes a good trip into a great one! Only critique would be the coffee. It would have been nice to get a heads up that there was only a keurig (no pods) and no slow drip machine. I finally found the frying pans on the last day (under the oven), but I know I would have had an instant answer had I just texted the owner. It was just hard to find stuff in the kitchen. I will definitely check availability for this house next trip!

We stayed here last year for family vacation and loved it so much, we came back for a second round! Nicole is simply the best! The house is perfect and gorgeous. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient to a nice beach. The fishing off the pier is amazing. The marina has anything extra you may have forgotten, but so does the house. Nicole has thought of everything. Can’t wait for next year!!

We have rented places in Galveston several times in the past. Usually right on the beach. But this time we stayed at Straight Chillaxing. What a wonderful surprise. We have always had to supply pretty much everything except pots and dishes. But our hosts provided so much including spices and pretty much all you need in the kitchen.. even coffee pods for the Kurieg. Hand soap, shampoo, and a first aid kit. We were even greeted by a complimentary bottle of wine. The house was beautiful and spacious. We will rent this place again.

This is a such a beautiful home! Very clean, well decorated, and only a brief walk to the beach! Perfect for our family vacation. The owners have put so much thought and attention into making sure their guests feel at home and welcome. If you love to cook- you will find any and everything you need in the kitchen! There are special touches like shampoo, lotion, soap, and first aid needs in bathrooms and beach toys/chairs downstairs. A bottle of wine was waiting for us at arrival. Beds & sofa were very comfortable! Our favorite part was the outdoor shower downstairs- perfect place to rinse off after a day at the beach and prevent piles of sand from coming in the house. Our kiddo thought it was so cool as well. We will definitely be back!!

We loved this property! It was .5 miles from one of the public beaches, which was perfect. We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the warm Texas weather. We would stay here again.

We had such a great time! The owner is super sweet and kind. We have three kids under 12, and they loved the bunkbed room. The furniture and beds are so comfortable. Everything was ultra clean.

The property and location was beautiful and relaxing! Loved sitting on the porch and listening to the ocean in the morning. Within walking distance to the beach. I'm so glad we chose this property for our Christmas getaway.

This is a great house. Very well equipped, clean, nice. Lots of extra touches like toiletries, laundry and kitchen detergent, paper goods, beach toys and more. The owners are very thoughtful — they provide many of the comforts of home. The home decor is lovely, bedding is high quality. Beds are super comfy. I didn’t want to leave! We had such a fun week there!

This property was perfect and beautiful. It was perfectly decorated and everyone had plenty of room. The only con is having to pay $100 fee to swim in the neighborhood pool. The owners were fantastic and responsive. We would love to stay here again the next time we visit Galveston!

Wow! What an amazing and refreshing weekend we had! This home was beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything we needed! The beds were very comfortable with clean linens and actually the futon in the living room was incredibly comfortable as well!! Perfect distance from the beach we will definitely be coming back!!

Upon arrival the house was very clean and well kept up . The home was graced with inviting beach decor. You can tell the owners have pride in their home.The kitchen was stocked with all essentials to cook family meals and the beds were all VERY comfortable. The bathrooms were also very well stocked and very clean. Under the house was very inviting to sit and relax feeling the ocean breeze while hanging out with friends and family or tinkering with your fishing poles. The key to the private pier was an added bonus. The outdoor shower was nice to rinse off after the beach as well. Can’t wait to return!

The beach house and host were great from the time of booking until check-out. My guests and I loved the beautiful relaxing and clean environment of this home. The beds and pillows were VERY comfy with crisp clean linens. OMG…the towels are plush and top notch quality!!! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The check in process was easy and convenient. I definitely recommend STRAIGHT CHILLAXIN. The owner is more than helpful. All around nice home, you will definitely be pleased.
