This little getaway did not disappoint! What a beautiful place to escape to for a great family fun mini week filled with everything you need to relax, be entertained or unwind and take in the beautiful scenery. We didn’t even need to leave the house because it had everything you needed.. from the hot tub to the pool table, and so much more! This will be an awesome place to come back to in the summer for sure! Rebecca was only a phone call or a text away and made sure we were having a great time. I highly recommend making this your next place to stay in Deep Creek Lake!

The house had everything we needed for our kids- ranging from 2-6- and plenty to keep them entertained so that we could have a relaxing weekend. We hope to go back again and enjoy it in the warmer months too!

When we walked in the house there was a sign welcoming our family. Plus a gift basket full of goodie! We loved the location. It was close to Wisp, Hiking, Escape Room and a great Brewery. House had so many special notes with excellent instructions and attention to detail with quality furniture inside and out. The deck was brand new. The beds were all very comfortable. The linens also were very nice and plush. The kitchen was very well appointed also! It was a special week for all of us and we look forward to trying other Mad Men Vacation Homes in the future. Thank you Rebecca for being an awesome host!!

Place was beautiful and very clean. Had a lot of great amenities

We had our whole family together for my belated 60th birthday party. We had all four of our kids, our 3 son-in-laws, and 7 grandchildren, all under 7 years old! There was something for everyone!. We rented a boat, took out the kayaks and canoe, sat in the hot tub, cooked steaks on the grill and made smores by the fire. We even caught a fish from the dock! Our four oldest grandchildren loved sleeping in the "tree house" bedroom, and the assortment of toys downstairs. Our daughters really appreciated that, in addition to the full crib, they also provided two additional porta-cribs, so that was one less thing they had to bring. It was also really nice that they had a full range of life-jackets to use, so that was another thing we didn't have to bring. But probably most importantly, everything was clean and comfortable. There were plenty of nice towels. The beds had plenty of pillows and blankets and were comfortable. And the kitchen had everything you needed, including plenty of plates, glasses, and silverware, for our large group. They even had copper mugs for our "mules!" Everything was very well organized and it made getting settled in very easy, including a QR Code that automatically connected your phone to the WiFi. I've never seen that before!

We had multiple families in this house. I will say that the decor is lovely and that a Rebecca is extremely responsive. The driveway is steep and we did have a little slipping getting up the driveway but our AWD vehicles were fine. The house smelled lovely when you entered and it is super bright and airy. We did really enjoy s’mores by the fire while watching a movie outside and then a dip in the hot tub! I don’t think that we would stay here again as we had to contact the owner multiple times and the price for the week is really high. The floors were still dirty and the cleaners had to be sent back out. The rear main floor bedroom doors leaked during a rainstorm to the point I had to soak up water off the floor and leave a towel down to soak up what came in overnight. Rebecca was responsive and I asked that our vacation not be interrupted by the builder coming the week we were there. The couches in the basement are not comfortable at all and we didn’t really have a place where we could all gather together and hang out. The areas, as in most pictures, are not as big as they look. The walk down to the lake is not bad, but getting back up is not easy! I will say that Rebecca is one of the most responsive owners I have encountered and the previous renters really left the house in rough shape. I am sure that a Rebecca will address all of the issues that are disclosed and that another family will have a great time.

This is a beautiful house, well-stocked, and nice finishes. Beds are comfy, as are the Living room sofas! It wasn't as spacious as we had hoped, but then, we were confined for periods of time during the days with rains, and we were not a full capacity group (6 adults, 4 children, 1 toddler). There are many great amenities, and we were able to enjoy the kayaks, the hot tub, and the fire pit several times. Kitchen was great- and has everything you need! Beautiful setting on the lake, and a nice dock for swimming (with a ladder!). They supply life vests too! Be prepared for steep descent to the dock (and ascent back to house) but great exercise! :-) , and steep (zig zag) drive way - to ample parking at house. Air Hockey/Billiard table/Ski-ball/and Pac Man got some use... but again the lower level rec room not as large as we thought. Great vacation, despite the rain! Rebecca is a wonderful host!

We heard from the owners during the stay. Not too many people do that. I would highly recommend the Mad Men Vacation home at the Lake.

Loved it! The house and owner's response to every detail far exceeded our expectations - Cleanliness, spaciousness for nine adults and three kiddos, and proximity to lake were key to making this our favorite Deep Creek rental house ever. Special touches like a personalized welcome sign along with welcome music greeted us like old friends returning home. Well equipped kitchen, game room, private dock and beautiful lake views from the hot tub were all pluses. The tree house themed kids' room with bunk beds and trundle created a perfect retreat for the grandkids. Thank you, Rebecca, for making this a memorable trip for the entire family! One important note for travelers: the driveway down to house is extremely steep, AWD, 4WD a necessity. However, don't fret there is plenty of room to park your car and walk down.

Our moms work hard everyday on their goals and being a great mother for their children. This was a get away needed to breath and reenergize. Lot's of first for many, Seeing so many trees, open fire pit, samore s, hot tub, canoeing, time spend outside, and so much more. We cannot thank you enough for this experience.

We came to spend a long weekend at Mad Men Lake House with 3 other couples and were blown away by everything! The living and dining area is bright and has a fantastic view of Deep Creek Lake. The kitchen is fully stocked and has beautiful new appliances. The beds were comfortable and the whole place was immaculate. The gas fireplace was cheery and easy to start and stop. The game room had something for everyone and we really enjoyed playing ping pong on the deck. We took a side trip to Swallow Falls Park and the falls were beautiful! This is definitely our "go to" place for Deep Creek!

This is fantastic property with beautiful interior design, extremely comfortable towels and bedding and peace of mind for a fully baby proofed that even includes a great crib- baby monitor and sound machine if needed. There’s toy closet in the basement filled with great toddler toys and books. Outside is beautiful and makes for a fun and carefree sit by the fire without worrying about wildlife getting too close. The view is amazing off both decks. Don’t hesitate to book this place you will not be disappointed and the owners are expectional hosts as well.

We have visited many VRBO rentals with our friends and family, and this one is by far the best! It's not a home that is used by the owners and is occasionally rented out... it is MADE for the renters! Every little detail is thought through. We loved the space, it easily fit our 2 families. The location is to die for, close to town and right on the water. Never lacking in an activity or game to spend time. We cooked every meal of our stay and the kitchen is so well stocked. Beds are large and comfortable, linens are quality and comfortable. We won't hesitate to be back! Thanks so much Rebecca!

It was a great rental!

We only stayed two nights, but this property was perfect for the VERY rainy day we had. Plenty of things to do for the kids inside and out (hot tub). We had a great time!

Everything was perfect at the Madmen deep Creek house! We had 4 families with us and everyone had a great time. It rained all day Saturday but we were still entertained indoors with all of games. On Friday 12/31, we even took the kayaks out. The kitchen is very well stocked, making it easy for us to do all of the cooking for our large crew. 5/5 recommend staying here!

Amazing property- exactly as advertised. Very clean and spacious house and excellent check in process. The house is decorated with taste and comfort in mind. Very good wifi connection for working (if you absolutely have to - which we did). Rebecca (hostess) was wonderful and she even checked in on us during our stay to make sure everything was going well! We even brought our dog and she enjoyed the place as much as we did- Rebecca did not even forget the dog bowl! The view was relaxing and calming day and night- we will be back to enjoy the outdoor space (decks,firepit etc) more next time. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

My grandchildren loved the basement filled with games! They said it was like an arcade but they didn’t have to pay! My husband and I stayed in the “wisp room“ and absolutely loved the ski lift chair! My grandchildren were mesmerized by the camp room when the lights were turned out and they started seeing stars on the ceiling! I love how the kitchen and family room or open space and you can be involved with the group while you’re cooking. You will not regret renting this place… We even got a pontoon boat and were able to dock right there at the property!

I just returned from a wonderful stay at Madmen Lake House! I was there for a girls “weekend” away. We actually were there during the week 😉! It is the perfect getaway for friends or family. It has six bedrooms with two of them Master bedrooms. The Lake House is decorated in such a beautiful way with each bedroom having a theme. I stayed in the Wisp Master Bedroom with my sister. It has an old ski lift chair painted red in it… so cool! I loved the open kitchen and family room that looked out to the deck and lake. The kitchen was nicely stocked to do all the cooking I did too. The basement had lots of fun activities which will be great when I bring the rest of my family and grandkids one day! For me it was such a beautiful place to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet with some ladies in my life! Thank you Rebecca for creating a wonderful getaway just 2 1/2 hours away from Columbia MD!

From the coziness of the house to the beautiful view of the lake, our vacation with MadMen lake house was the perfect getaway!! The house was clean, warm, and had everything we could think of and more. We will definitely be coming back!! I also saw that Rebecca has homes in OC and Disney - we will for sure check those out! I was so impressed with this beautiful lake house. The amount of considerate detail and special touch that went into it, is obvious when you look at anything in the house. So much thought went into the littlest details. One of my favorite parts about the house was the comfy beds. I've honestly never stayed in a bed this comfy and nice. That includes the blankets and sheets. Comfy pillows and towels. I also loved the turquoise blue fireplace downstairs. It was so beautiful and gave it a cozy feel. The view is to die for. From the bottom deck, from the great room, and from the top deck. And there is a fire pit or hot tub to enjoy and soak it all up. This place is AMAZING!
