Wonderful place! This was our second visit with Candace. Beautiful cabin home set in quiet forest setting on 2 acres. Hiking trail access right out the front door. Enclosed deck provides a great place and the dogs to sit in the cool air and enjoying scenery. Everything we needed to have a great vacation

The property was, for us, exactly as presented on VRBO. The check in process, the communication, and the check out process were completely transparent and simple to follow. Tons of games/puzzles to keep the kiddos occupied for a rainy day, and the kitchen was absolutely spotless and well-stocked for all manners of cooking. We used the grill and it, too, was clean and perfectly functioning. A rarity in private rentals were the spare and full (!) propane tanks. The land around the property kept us outside; plenty of very close hiking and biking trails, plus we hung hammocks from the trees on the property. Looking for a family getaway for all ages in the New Mexico mountains? This is it!

The house was a great location to the slopes! Only about a 5 min drive. House was super clean and well stocked! We just picked up some food at the local market and settled in. House was cozy and we all enjoyed playing games and relaxing while not skiing. Would highly recommend!!

Candy has a wonderful clean cabin with all of the items you could ever need. Our family and our dogs thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway. There is a local herd of deer that visits daily so if you are an animal lover like us, bring a couple apples to share with them!

We absolutely loved our stay. The location was perfect (easy drive to ski lifts). The wildlife was amazing. Candy did such a great job decorating the house for Christmas. We will definitely be back!

Absolute best location. Quick access on and off mountain, trails steps from the house. Perfect combination of trees and open meadows. We saw wildlife every morning and evening. House was so well stocked and very cozy. Would for sure stay again.

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay in Angel Fire. The cabin was very well equipped with anything you could need during your stay. Also, the cabin was very clean when we arrived. One small suggestions would be thicker curtains in the master bedroom to block some of the light from a full moon or early morning light. Also if you drive a larger SUV or truck do not plan to park inside the garage.

My husband and I stayed in Candy’s cabin with our dogs. The cabin is beautiful and in a perfect location! It’s on a quiet cul-de-sac right next to the greenbelt, so it’s great for dogs. It’s also very close to the resort. Candy was very responsive to us throughout the booking process and our stay. We plan to go back this summer.

We've been to Angel Fire in the summer, but this was our first trip in the winter. The weather was beautiful, the location, was great, but the cabin was spectacular. I've never stayed in a more fitting cabin than this one. The location was in a perfect spot for all our activities. Our communication with the host made everything easy. I would book this location, spring, winter, or fall. 10 out of 10!

The location of the property was just great. We loved taking our dog walking in the area. It was very pretty. We enjoyed watching the deer each day. It was one of the best equipped properties we have ever stayed in. The only thing you need is a muffin tin, and that’s no biggie. We truly relaxed and enjoyed our stay, which is what we all needed. Loved everything! The setting is beautiful and peaceful. The location boarders one of the main greenbelt trails and is close to many others. The house is nicely decorated and very well stocked. We stayed for two weeks and would definitely stay here again!

Perfect escape from the heat at home. So enjoyed the time on the deck watching deer, hummingbirds and other wildlife. Took advantage of the hiking trails right out back. The cabin had everything we needed, right down to chairs to take down to the outdoor concert! Would highly recommend

Wonderful Everything
Candy's cabin was exactly what we needed. The location felt remote but is only a few minutes from the stores in Angel Fire. The neighborhood had trails making it really easy to take our dog on walks. The cabin itself has everything you need for a short or long stay. We ended up working there and the internet was fast with two of us being able to have video conferences. Highly recommend this place if you find yourself in Angel Fire!

Fantastic!
This was a GREAT place to stay! We have been traveling to Angel Fire for years, staying in a rental each time, and this is one of the best. The cabin is lovely, well stocked, and a good size. The owners are very kind and responsive. The check-in/ check-out process was easy. The best part is the location as it is very near all of the awesome trails Angel Fire has to offer.
I would highly recommend this place for a family getting away from the summer heat.

Unfortunately, upon arrival, we soon discovered that we had arrived a day before our reservation started. Yikes! Thankfully, Candy responded promptly to our plea for help! She sent the property manager over immediately to let us in and make sure that everything was in order.
Once inside, the cabin was perfect. Charming, clean, extremely comfortable and well stocked with all one would need!
And it’s a perfect cabin for dogs. The gated deck was a favorite hang out for our dog and the close proximity to the greenbelt and trails was ideal.

Nice but HOT
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was pretty much as advertised. However, when we checked in the temperature in the cabin was 89 degrees. I called the property manager and she said there was no AC and to open the windows. This turned out to be an issue all week. During the day the inside temperature was just below 80 with all of the windows open. At night it would get to 75-76. Our previous Angelfire cabin rentals had AC and this was not an issue. Additionally we normally go in July or August, so if we would have been there in those months, I suspect the conditions might have had to force us to find somewhere else to stay. The cabin was clean and nice and would consider again for a Ski vacation, but probably not for another summer trip.

Great house!
This property was perfect for a family vacation of 7 of us plus 2 dogs. The extra care of supplies, kitchen dishes, nice towels, comfortable beds, enclosed patio, pet bowls and blankets, a nice bottle of wine were very much appreciated!! Perfect family vacation.❤️

What a perfect place! From the ‘ready to light’ fire in the fireplace, to the lush towels in the bathroom, to the comfy beds with perfect sheets, to the well stocked kitchen!!!!!
We were all pleased with all the amenities in this cabin. There were even k-cups available for those of us that love coffee.

Wonderfully quiet and easy drive to the slopes
There was an abundance of positives - roomy, great location, private, well stocked, comfortable furniture/beds, ten minutes to the slopes, and surrounded by the relaxing environment of a quiet forestland. Candy could not have been more gracious and helpful as our host. We will hope to enjoy her hideaway again on future visits to Angel Fire.

Absolutely beautiful. I would not hesitate on choosing this cabin and it’s wonderful location again. Can’t say enough how great our stay was. I mean the deer came by everyday for a visit. It was great for adults as well as children. This was the third cabin we have stayed at in Angel Fire and by far the best.

The house was great and it was so fun getting to see all the wildlife everyday. The location was easy to access and very close to all things Angel Fire. The home for our group of 6 (3 adults and 3 kids) was plenty comfortably with no problems. We would definitely stay here again!

Great house, very quiet and convenient location.
This house was wonderful and had plenty of everything we needed. The deer showed up one afternoon and were extremely friendly. The location was very convenient and the neighborhood was very quiet. The upstairs bathroom was large and had plenty of space and plenty of available towels. I would stay again, my only complaint is that it really needs a new mattress in the upstairs queen bed. The downstairs queen bed, as well as the small loft bed were way too firm for me. Not sure about the two twin beds downstairs. Otherwise, it was great!

I love that the property borders Elk Greenspace and has easy access to the trail. We enjoyed watching the deer, squirrels, chipmunks, coyotes, and prairie dogs. The decks were my favorite spot each morning.
