This home was perfectly appointed for our group. Everything was clean and well maintained, and it was just a short 1 block walk to a beautiful beach. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Overall great experience. We did stay in the house before and loved it which is why we chose it again.
Down falls were that there was construction next door and the area for the fire pit in front of the house was completely overgrown to include to shrubs to get through the gate

From outside it looks deceivingly small but inside there is so much room. Lots of extras for everyone in the party (kids toys, games, arcade console, basketball game, play and pack, beach canopy, kid kitchen, laundry, many kitchen appliances, big fridge). Very short walk to the beach. Many windows that open to breathe in fresh air. Quiet inside. Great furniture and walking area to all the neat shops in town. Really thrilled with our time here. Highly recommend.

We have come to Rockaway Bch. every year for the last 16 yrs. in November. We were excited to be able to get this house for the second time this year. Last year there was more of us, so we knew it was big enough for us this year. We love the big kitchen, lots of room with 6 bedrooms and the game room. The only downfall for us is we have more than 3 cars to park which is always a challenge. If the price hadn't been increased, we would be trying to book again for next year. Short walk to beach and we were lucky with beautiful weather. Really enjoyed our family time together and early Thanksgiving dinner.

Spiders in kitchen sink and upstairs tub when we arrived. NO outlets worked in upstairs bathroom. Difficult with 3 females! NO chlorine in hot tub. We complained on Friday and the outlets were fixed in upstairs bathroom and they put chlorine in the hot tub. Took FOREVER to get hot water at EVERY faucet. Water is not very hot and when I showered the hot water was intermittent. Very misleading when you advertise QUEEN beds in 3 bedrooms when in actuality they are FULL SIZE beds. This morning we tried to help out and vacuum the carpet in the front room , but again only certain outlets would work. When they put the chlorine in, they put so much in it was burning our eyes. The arcade was the best part of the house! Furniture is old and outdated, NO cable TV and there is a wood burning stove which is under amenities, but you neglect to disclose that we need to bring our own firewood. I realize everything won't be perfect and you need to make money for managing and maintaining property. But this was not an enjoyable experience for my family and grandchildren. You can see by all our emails and texts while on this trip. I would like a partial refund please for all the problems that arose.

Nice place to stay. Well supplied with lots of bedrooms. It was our yearly family vacation. We had a good time, enjoyed riding the train and also waving at the train from the back yard

The location was perfect, we were able to come together as family to remember our Mom. She loved the Oregon Coast, she passed away a year ago.

We had a great time staying here with our 3 small children along with some friends and their small children. The house is big with many rooms. The bathrooms both have an incredibly big bathtub that the kids had a great time in. The beach was only a short stroll away. A few times a day the tourist train goes by and it’s fun for the kids to wave at the passengers who are waving back.
It was a perfect house for families. There’s a kid room with toys and that was great. The garage also had arcade games and the kids loved it!
Our only “complaints” (I hate even saying we had complaints, they’re more just things that could be improved upon), was the cleanliness. While the counters and bathrooms and main living space was overall clean, the home could really use a periodic deep clean for things like mopping the floors and wiping down the walls and blinds.
We would definitely stay here again. We had a great time. Thank you so much!

Easily fit our family of 12.
The kitchen was well supplied with dishes and cooking utensils. Lots of towels for showers and beach fun.
The grill and hot tub were well kept and easily to use.
The best part was the short walk to a more remote part of the beach with the children (No Ocean View).
Bring your own laundry detergent. And there is a three car limit that we weren't aware of until the last minute. The sand is easy to sweep up. We wished there had been a mop to mop the floors.
It is the perfect home for a family get away.

Our family group of 13 had an excellent time. The house was so close to the beach and the out door shower made keeping the sand outside so easy! We will definitely be returning to this house.

This charming home was perfect for us, our six grown children, and 3 small grandchildren. So close to the beach and shops. The kitchen was well equipped and large. The games in the garage were a real hit! We would definitely stay here again.

Great access to the beach, just a quick short walk. House was great for young kids because it was not in pristine shape, nor did it have a lot of breakables/nice items that I would worry about. Hot Tub was great, didn’t have any issues. Video Games and Basketball in garage was awesome for the kids. The dryer needs some work, it seems the control panel needs replacing. You have to hold the upper left part of the door for it to start. There are tricks not posted. Stove has 2 working burners in the back, but kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and/or alternatives to the stove. I would suggest placing garbage cans in each bedroom. The upstairs windows have NO screens in place (they’re actually just sitting in the garage) which is unsafe for kids-given the lock is a latch placed low on the frame.

The house was nice and in a great location - walking distance to town and the beach. However, the hot water kept going out and we had to suffer through freezing cold showers every morning. The owner came and tried to fix it and it helped, but it never really worked properly. Also, the stove didn't work well, the video games in the garage didn't work, and they didn't supply enough toilet paper so we had to go buy more while people were waiting. These things put a damper on the weekend, especially the cold showers.

Nice short walk to the beach, hot tub very enjoyable for all ages. Some things are in need of replacing such as dish towels and potholders, would also bring extra toilet paper and paper towels for large group. Overall, great property and had a wonderful time!

We came to the coast after a family wedding to spend a bit more time with traveling family before the newlyweds head to their honeymoon. Plenty of space for everyone. Loved the hot tub and the little one REALLY enjoyed the train going by several times a day. Fully stocked kitchen was nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect group getaway
This home was perfect for a multiple family getaway with kids. So many rooms to choose from, a great hot tub and large kitchen that is perfectly stocked. The books on sea glass, local flora and fauna were fun. This home is a five minute walk from a huge sandy beach. Stay here and you won’t regret it.

From the outside you would never imagine how spacious the Clamalope is! It was great to find a 6 bedroom house that had space for our whole family. The games in the garage were a fun addition. The walk to the beach is easy and access was close by. We opted to make s’mores in the backyard fire pit, not the beach, as it was more convenient -so that was a boon! In this age of COVID19, I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the house. There were antibacterial soaps and wipes in each bathroom and the kitchen. The house was spotless. 3 generations of us had a wonderful family trip at the Clamalope to celebrate 'Gran’s’ 80th birthday.

Clamalope was great! It was a last minute trip so I wasn’t sure if it would work out, but Rachelle responded right away and was very easy to work with. Check in instructions were easy to follow and the house was super cute and sparkly clean when we arrived! The house seems to be a little older and has some quirky charm, but looks like it has been updated recently and the kitchen and bathrooms are really nice. There are six bedrooms so everyone had their own space, plus the hot tub and the games in the garage were a big hit! And the location is amazing because it’s just around the corner from the beach and only a block or two to all the cute little shops and restaurants so we could just park the cars and walk everywhere we needed to go. Our trip was way too short and we didn’t have enough time to do everything we wanted to do, so we are already planning another trip and hopefully can stay at Clamalope a bit longer.

Host is great! Communication was easy and prompt. The house is older and has some quarks, but it gives it charm. The 2 bathrooms were large and somewhat updated, so the water pressure was better than one would expect in an old home. The house is an easy short walk to the beach, and on a quiet street. The old steam train goes by a few times during the day making it fun for kids to wave to the passengers and have some coins flattened. The arcade in the garage was a big hit with everyone in our group and made for some friendly competition.

Rachelle's place was a good stay for our family. There were some things that needed some TLC but other than that, Rachelle was a great host and responsive and understanding. It was a super close walk to the beach which was awesome. Parking is very limited so must plan beforehand. Lots of room and lots of space.

This house was the perfect mix of space and closeness to the beach! We wanted a location that was close walking distance but not too far from amenities and found it here. The upstairs shares one large bathroom but it wasn’t an issue at all, and the space really made it so we wouldn’t disturb the master bedroom which shared a door with it. The doors were solid wood and that was great for keeping a sense of privacy for each guest. Overall, you could have the house packed and still feel like you can have your own private room. We all loved the sculpture and the house! Thanks for hosting our group!

Clamalope is a great house for a large group. We surprised and celebrated my husband’s 60th birthday with 16 family members. Everyone had a place to sleep and we loved the close access to the ocean. The weather was fantastic. I’d definitely recommend this house for anyone but especially larger groups and families. :) Rachelle communicated well and was really great at accommodating our group!

Our family absolutely adored this home. It had plenary of room for all of us. The arcade was a gray touch for the children. We loved being able to walk right to the beach multiple times a day. We will definitely be coming back!

We stayed here for three nights for a small family reunion and had the BEST time! You really can't get much closer to the amazing beach (a 2-minute walk), and we loved the small-town feel of Rockaway Beach. Rachelle's home was clean, creative, fun, and so spacious! There were plenty of towels and extra bedding, and the kitchen was stocked with anything and everything we could possibly need. She has really thought of everything! We all had plenty of room to hang out together but with six rooms we all had the privacy we needed. And the hot tub...quite possibly the MVP of our stay here. It was fantastic. And we all loved the huge rainshower showers and giant bathtubs. This place was really great. If you need a great place to stay along the Oregon Coast, this is definitely the place. Hopefully we'll be back!
