The location of this property is nice. It is near the park and the town of Joshua Tree. The beds are comfortable. There is some nice art. We found a lot about the property to be desired. For how much we paid, we expected better conditions. We found cheetohs in one of the beds. We found dead cockroach. The pool is nice but the backyard has a red ant problem. Our daughter got stung. The lounging chairs were covered in them so we couldn’t use them. There are lots of little things that make the property feel neglected. All these things made it hard to feel relaxed. We come to Joshua Tree a few times a year. For this price you can do better.

I read the reviews for this property and I agree with them. The location is great for the park entry. The house is staged well, but cold at night. If your not there in Summer, it’s a problem. The extra charges for the pool heating is a pain and does diminish the appeal of the property. We paid to heat it for a day. It never got even slightly warmer. We were told there was a glitch in the system and it takes longer to heat. We only saw the system turn on once for 5 min. Then, it became a moot point because the power on the property went out. Turns out, Southern California Edison cut the power in the area due to high winds. This is done to prevent wild fires. We were happy to get a refund for the pool charge. In our area, Southern California Edison warns residents of a power outages that are scheduled. I don’t know if that was done in this situation. We told the owner and got a sorry for the inconvenience message. This happened at the end of our trip and we planned to be out most of the day, so didn’t make it an issue. In all honesty, it’s a difficult situation for both parties. In the end, we did have a good time there even with the problems.

Very cleanly property, lots of space, well managed

I really liked this house inside and out. It’s as beautiful and artistic as the photos show. The backyard is a desert oasis. The location is quiet and scenic while being close to local shops and restaurants. At night you can see the stars and hear coyotes. There are small things I would change about the property, but those things won’t stop me from staying here again or recommending it to others.

We enjoyed the spa everyday, and the pool the one day we had it heated. The house is decorated with fine art and unique furniture pieces. It is close to the park entrance and JT businesses. The water temperature in the shower fluctuated from cold to extremely hot. A lot of water was wasted while waiting for it to come to a bearable temperature. The other bathroom smelled foul - like sewage all the time. The AC/heating unit in front bedroom was not keeping us warm, but we found a space heater in laundry room that did the job. The kitchen is sparsely stocked if you like to cook. No casserole like dishes for enchiladas, lasagna, etc. Overall, we enjoyed the house, especially the center dining table for games and dining, and the spa.

House was very cold on arrival Floors counters etc were all stone and took over 24 hours to warm to 70 Heater did not work in one bedroom no heat in dining area We were told the pool was not heated so we did not bring bathing suits Turns out it is heated but. If you turn on heat it cost extra. If you use bar b q propane it cost extra. If you burn firewood in fireplace they charge you if you leave later then 11 even 20 minutes they charge you The bed frames were full of dust. Hairballs on floor unclear and or incorrect instructions on signage in bathroom at toilet and shower

The house was functional and a good location to the park. Some things that would improve this property would be: lighting in the kitchen as it is bad and very dark and almost impossible to cook in there; heating: Only heat is in two of the bedrooms. Dining room is very cold as well as living room. In winter this is uncomfortably cold. The heater in master bedroom is an older wall heater that is very loud all night long so difficult to sleep. Also, the hot tub never got past lukewarm temperature so while we looked forward to using it, we did not as it was just not hot enough. Lastly, the shower never got past lukewarm so only one of us was brave enough to take a not hot shower in a cold house.

Interesting designer home with lovely backyard and pool area. Close to village. Quiet neighborhood. Newer appliances and cooking equipment. Quality linens and bedding.
