My husband and I were just there for a weekend (Aug 2nd & 3rd Fri. & Sat. left on Sun.) The cottage was very clean & comfortable & well decorated with the feel of home. Friday was kinda rainy, but we managed to visit the Andy Griffith Museum, which was very enjoyable. The weather cleared up on Sat. & we took in all the Mayberry tours & activities & checked out all the little shops downtown. Since we are both in our late 70's...& my husband uses a walker we really enjoyed frequent stops along the way with lots of park benches to rest. We had a great lunch & ice cream at Barney's Cafe...all the restaurants were great! Afterwards we saw a great movie at the Earle Theatre downtown & enjoyed a delicious dinner at The Depot about 17 mins away in Dobson. We highly recommend this restaurant...great food & prices. We hope to go back next year & stay at Mayberry Front Porch.

We had a great time visiting Mayberry. The house was in a great location, very close to Main Street. We were surprised by all the sweet touches the host had placed throughout the house. It was very cozy and super clean. You can tell they put a lot of thought into hosting guests, even down to the towels. The house was cooled and smelling so good when we walked in. It was ready for us as soon as we arrived. Hosts were very communicative. I highly recommend!

When we arrived at the property for which we had booked and paid for, we found another couple already there. They had also booked/paid for their stay so we had to scramble to find somewhere to stay. Makes me doubtful about using VRBO again even though we have happily used the service for years.

First time visit to Mt. Airy, NC (Mayberry). The Mayberry Front Porch was exactly as described if not better. The home was extremely clean and very well stocked with everything one would need. The home sits in a quiet neighborhood within a short walk to the Mayberry sights. We visited the town for our 29th anniversary and to see everything Andy Griffith. Everyone in the community was so very friendly and welcoming. The owner of the home, Anthony was available to answer any questions and has outdone himself on a fantastic property. We will be coming back to see more of Mt. Airy and will definitely be staying at the same property again. The Mayberry squad car tours are a must and ask for the driver named Roger. He was phenomenal and was very knowledgeable about Andy and his hometown.

We had an issue with perfume smell being overwhelming, which Anthony responded promptly (we were able to go from 100% to a 20% smell). Other than that the stay was great.

This was a great stay. Close to downtown Mount Airy. The house was fully stocked with all of our needs. The host was very accommodating and so very nice. We felt comfortable and safe. My husband used a walker and wheelchair and there was ample space to get around. Great place to stay. Loved it! The house is decorated was well. The beds were so cozy. We will be back.

This is a wonderfully done property in Mt. Airy -- close to everything and incredibly clean. You can tell it is well-maintained. It has everything you need for your visit as far as towels, linens, washer/dryer, full kitchen, etc. The master bed was especially comfortable. Since we visited during the Christmas season, we loved the beautiful Christmas tree and sweet Christmas decor around the house. The check-in process was super easy which was really nice since we arrived to town late in the evening. Anthony was a gracious and welcoming host. I would highly recommend this property for your visit to Mt. Airy area.

The home was exactly as pictured and stated in the description. The home was really nice and very clean and we enjoyed our stay. It had all the necessary amenities and was well stocked even beyond the expected. It had very nice personal touches throughout. The reason I call it a hidden gem is because you would never know it was there since it is nestled on a little street in a vintage neighborhood.

The location was perfect for visiting the sights in Mount Airy and a quick drive to Pilot Mountain. A must is bike riding along the river.

Thanks for the coffee and staples. For our short 2 day visit it was nice to not have to buy those things. The home is close to everything but your still out of the way. I hope to stay next year but longer i suggest a fire pit outside and tvs in the rooms. Love the porch. Love the town.
