The place was perfect! Clean and a great kitchen area…kureg with cups waiting. Very nice area to watch TV. Really clean and the host/owner was great with information prior to our arrival. Very close to downtown which has a brewery and distillery. Grocery store a few minutes away. Easy 20 minute drive to ND campus. Highly recommend! Scott

My family and I needed a place to stay overnight after attending a wedding at Notre Dame.
We were able to check in after the ceremony and relax, take our shoes off, and have some snacks before returning for the reception. This property is in a quiet neighborhood and was the perfect place for us. It was a short 25 minutes drive to the Palais Royal in South Bend.
After the reception we came back and stayed over until checkout in the next morning.
The house is fully stocked with all the comforts of home.
We wish we had more time to spend. We would have enjoyed the patio, fire pit and wrap around porch.
We definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.

Just can’t say enough good things about our stay. There were 3 adults and 2 children and so much room to spare. We used the kitchen and laundry facilities and everything was perfect. Beds were comfortable and even though the bathrooms are small, strong water pressure and bathroom amenities more than make up for it. Overall I would highly recommend this house and am thrilled to be coming back in October with another group of friends to stay at this great place! Hosts answered all my question super fast - which we really appreciated.

Our goal was rest & time with our adult children, family members from northern MI & final day with our best friends. Accomplished!
Our host was responsive when we had needs/questions. The stay required us to trim a bush (so porch swing could be used), put 3 trash cans at curb for trash day (must have been very old trash/maggots - so nasty) & the cleaning service did not handle anything on porches - just really dirty.
Inside of home met all our needs & fairly clean. Had to request DW tabs & paper towels. Beds comfortable but living room couch very low & not comfortable. (I have had both hips & knees replaced to painful getting up from couch)

We really enjoyed our stay at River Walk Retreat. Nice big house with a ton of room. Very well equipped and great beds. Owners are very responsive and accommodating.
We had a big group and there was plenty of space for everyone. Nice back patio where awe enjoyed the fire pit.
Would stay here again.

My daughter and I, along with our two dogs, stayed in this house over Christmas. It just so happened, it was also during a blizzard. We were able to book and extra day last minute due to weather. Every time I contacted the owner, I always heard back within minutes. The driveway was plowed several times during our stay. We had a great time! House was perfect!

We loved the house; It was beautiful. Had fun exporling all the rooms, counting the doors, and trying to determine what house was prior.
Only con...grass was cut @ 730am on a Sunday...woke up the entire house.

Everything was wonderful! Beautiful, clean, so many wonderful amenities! Well stocked kitchen! Walking distance to downtown shops and coffee! Perfect for 4 couples each in their own room and a little dog. Backyard is fenced for the dog. Plenty of parking for 4 cars. Beautiful swing to watch the Main Street. Your family will love this place too!

The home was spacious and absolutely beautiful. It had everything we needed for a perfect, relaxing family vacation. The front porch swing was by far my favorite spot…my daughter and I spent every morning out there with our coffee and cocoa. We would all definitely recommend this gorgeous house. This house felt like home. Beds were comfy. Plenty of room to spread out. Well stocked kitchen. Great attention to details that made our stay a little sweeter . . . like Keurig pods :). We took a tour of Notre Dame (15 min. drive), saw the lighthouse and beautiful sunset in St. Joseph (30 min. drive), and climbed the dunes at Warren Dunes State Park (30 min. drive). We were very pleased with our stay and hope to return one day!

Great house and location
House is as advertised and nice amenities. The location is amazing being a 5 minute walk from downtown. I was a little concerned about how loud it would be on the road it was on but the sound machines in the rooms made it a non-issue. Would for sure stay again if in the area

Riverview Retreat
The house was very clean, had everything we needed, and is right across the river from downtown. We enjoyed being close enough to walk to the riverside park and had a great evening sitting around the fire in the backyard.

The house was just as described. Communication, booking, and instructions were just what we needed - as weddings can be stressful enough. Everything went with ease and we couldn’t have been more relieved.

Beautiful historic home
The home is historic and beautifully decorated. Five adults were very comfortable in the home for five days. Just could have used more towels, but we had access to laundry so that wasn't to big of a issue. Loved the back yard, with fire pit and comfortable chairs. Easy walk to downtown Niles, and centrally located for exploring the Michiana area. We will definately stay here when we return to the area.

Fun sisters' get-together week!
The house was spacious and comfortable. It provided everything needed. We felt at home and enjoyed exploring the area. We walked everywhere for local food, shopping, and touring Chapin Mansion. The house was clean and well stocked with the essentials. The welcome bottle of wine was appreciated. Great stay. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again in the future.

Cozy and Beautiful Home
We truly enjoyed the house. Well furnished with extra items in the kitchen. Quiet neighborhood with easy access. The hosts were very nice, accommodating, and prompt in responding to all our inquiries.
Overall, excellent property and we highly recommend it. If an opportunity arrises to be back in Southern Michigan, we would stay there again!!!

This house was so charming and had everything you could imagine for a comfortable stay. Clean plentiful linens, towels and blankets. Fully stocked kitchen with everything needed to cook amazing meals. Especially enjoyed all of the coffee options. Outdoor area was really sweet. Will stay again!

A must stay
One of the cleanest and most beautiful homes I have ever stayed ever had the privilege renting. The hosts, Jane and Matt were very accommodating and we could not have asked for anything more. The only disappointment we had is that we could not stay longer. Everyone should stay here!

A True Hidden Gem
Needing an affordable option for a wedding in South Bend but competing with a ND home game, we decided to give this place a try. What a fantastic experience. The house's attention to detail was amazing. The house was very clean and the host has a lot of special touches throughout the house that continue to make you say "wow". My only regret was not being able to walk around the downtown area and enjoy the outside a little bit more. The inside of the house just makes you not want to leave. We will need to book this again in order to enjoy the outside. If you have any doubts about booking this rental, don't! You will love it.
